Awesome. These somewhat remind me of my friend C's poetry. She used to write short poems and stories for me to read. You have a similar word choice and structure.

The last two verses speak to me particularly because we went camping up north just this past weekend, and though it is summer, it got unseasonably cold at night. Though I love the feeling of huddling up by a warm fire with my close family.

I look forward to reading more.

Astraea & Lucifer

Astraea in her Heavenly abode
Danced to Apollo's Ode,
She fell into Lucifer's Arms,
And landed upon the Earth.

And so the Stars for All Their Worth,
Have fallen at night to alight
With the Electric Light,
And Replaced the Warmth
Of the Sacred Hearth.

Do we have a Heading?
Straight Ahead
Do you know where
this is Leading?
I am Aware the Sky is Red
Like the Blood Spilling
from my Soul
Give the Ferryman his Toll
Continue on the Road
Roll forward, the Path Forks
Like a Snake's Tongue
And with the Bell Sound Rung
Never to Bow but Stand Among, Baal
The Lord Knows my Prayers
the Lord No's my Fears
the Lord No's my Preyers
the Lord Knows my Fierce
Enter the Eye of the Storm
I See the Perfect Storm
On the Sea
Do we have a Heading?
Aye Aye Captain
This is just the Beginning
It's Starting to Rain

The Temple of the Winds

It blew me apart
Opened up my heart
Right from the start
Taught me the sacred art

Where does one begin
To become whole again
Everything gained
Yet no shelter while rained

So I began to build
And had no rest
Though everything stilled
Emptiness came to test

Dead Man's Chest
The Silence between the Beat
Mithril coating vest
It's a curse, like the apple, so eat.

With your Eye Eyes. Reaching shore, what's another word for yes?
