      Please review my DJ

Could you guys review my dream journal?

What I mean is read some or all my posts to it and tell me what you think. Tell me what I did right and wrong, how well I'm coming along on beginning lucid dreaming, and what I did incorrectly control-wise.

I want to know how I can do better, what you think of my dreams, how good you think my recall is and how I can improve it, and how fast/well I'm coming along lucid dream-wise.

For starters, I haven't gotten any lucid dreams from RCing...

      Moved to attaining lucidity.

First, I'm not going to read over all your entries, but I did skim them. I noticed you're simply jumping right into the dream and going along with the plot, instead of stopping what's happening and stabilizing the dream first. That's what causes people to lose lucidity. Also, your excitement (as you may have heard) is normal. It should vanish once you have more lucid dreams. You may also develop a tolerance for excitement, but nevertheless, you should always stabilize by looking around, touching objects, etc.

Can you describe how you go about your RCs? Because whatever you're doing in reality, it's working. Reality checks themselves don't usually cause consciousness in dreams, awareness does. That's where the sudden "oh my gosh, I'm dreaming!" comes from. RCs are usually used to confirm. Just so you don't do anything stupid and end up trying to fly out a five-story building.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Well, whenever anything out of the ordinary happens, even if it isn't unusual, I stop and seriously consider whether I'm dreaming or not.

I guess my relative success is because I do more than plug my nose when I RC.

Something out of the ordinary isn't happening all the time though, and it's best not to rely on "triggers" or "cues" to do a reality check. It makes the process less natural and ultimately won't help with true skepticism as to whether you're dreaming or not.
