      Success Rate

I'm just wondering on peoples success rate in attaining Lucidity. And being able to draw up a possible average among Dreamers. I've had two lucid experiences in the last three weeks not using any specific techniques.

Now using all day awareness and RC's I hope to jump up my success rate significantly.

I see people started using my banana technique.
On topic:There is no precise rate , everybody has a different rate of success.

For me to get into LD a lot of sleep is required, so I perform techniques on weekends. last 4 weekends were successful.
      My opinion:
*Lucid Dreams, OBEs, Astral Projections are one and the same.
*There are no levels of lucidity. Quality changes if you apply some deepening.
*Lucid Dreams do not last more than 20 minutes.
      *Wolves are beautiful.

Wow, hope this doesn't become a prerequisite for me as I have young kids

Define the boundaries of "success rate" - within how many months of attempting to LD are you hoping to get an average?
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

I have an 80% success rate for each DAY that I attempt to WBTB. About 40% of my normal dreams are lucid.
---o--- my DCs say I'm dreamy.

Say for one month initially. Personally I'd be happy with one every second night

From what I've personally seen on the forums, the 1-month SR would be around 70%, give or take. That's my anecdotal estimate.

WBTB = wake back to bed. It's a supplementary technique that involves the person waking up in the middle of the night, either naturally or by alarm clock (although it's better to wake naturally). This wakes up the logic center of their brain, and even more so if they do a few math problems, do some awareness exercises, and perform a couple reality checks during this time. When they go back to sleep, the logic center stays on for a while so they have a better chance of becoming lucid.

From now on, instead of making a double post, edit your previously-existing post.

Thanks for the reply Sloth, hopefully I'll be able to match this soon.

I tried WBTB this morning but wasn't able to fall back asleep. I think this is because I was doing a mantra and concentrating on this prevented me from even getting as far as SP. Well, that as well as all the noise in the house I'll be doing the night shift with our youngest tonight so will try and use this technique at around 4am when he usually wakes up. After trying ADA for the second half of yesterday I did notice I was far more curious in my dream poking at stick floating on water. So I'm gonna do ADA and RC's today, see if anything happens tonight and then again at the 4/5 and 6 am mark.

Used not to have any at all (I'm not natural), then a 2-3 per month (after i joined DV), and it's been 1 every 3 nights for the past 2-3 weeks or so ( gotta love ADA, 1 lucid per 3 nights when i'm not that good at it at all yet)
