      Talking Vibration Initiated Lucid Dream

      Okay so I ran across this technique on the internet and realized I have the resources to try it out tonight.
      Basically, rather than a light waking you up like most Lucid Dream aids (sight sensation), the vibration taps into your sensation of touch.
      I have a Sonic Bomb alarm clock. It has an attachment that shakes your mattress. The post that I saw mentioned a vibrating wristwatch. I, unfortunately, do not own one. But I think this might actually work better because it will shake my whole body.
      I'm going to go to sleep around 11 and set the alarm for 3 am. I'll post the results tomorrow.

      Hahaha what the hell. I've never heard of a "sonic bomb" alarm clock that shakes your bed. That's pretty awesome.

      What you're describing is a variation of a EILD (Electronically- Induced LD). Normally people use sound recording to alert them that they're dreaming, but physical sensations also work. I'm looking forward to seeing the results.

      this is what it is. i have it set just to low vibrate.

      HOLY CRAP I THINK I JUST LOST A FEW YEARS OF MY LIFE!!! I start the video (i'm wearing headphones), I don't hear it so I turn the volume up all the way, i'm thinking, is it vibrating I can't hear it? Then suddenly WAAH WAAAH WAAAH WAAH, and the thing starts flying all over the place like a fish out of water, I almost died I think.

      I love how the cameraman gets scared when it goes off and starts shaking it like crazy.

      The Results

      Last night I had a (very) brief lucid dream before the alarm when off. I went back to sleep.
      When it went off, it woke me up instantly. It does what it's supposed to, but alas, is not a good lucid dream aid (so far).
      I may try it again for a few days though. It could be a good thing to use for WILD's when I need to wake up but not wake everyone in the house.
      And if I can train myself to sleep through it, it may work eventually.
