Last night's dream felt like real life...

I had a lucid last night, and ironically, it was because I felt bored of the dream. When I became lucid, I thought it would be a good idea to feel what it was like in a dream so I could recognize it more often. I was pretty shocked to find that I could feel the flip flops I had on my feet, and the sand and warmth on them. I also felt a breeze. Now, I KNOW I was dreaming, since I 'charged' my fist and sent a ball of energy from the sky to slam into the ground to make a giant crater.
Is it normal for dreams to be this real? I have heard from KingYoshi's (that is his name, right?) tutorial on ADA that you can feel a difference, but that isn't the case for me.

Yep, dreams can feel exactly like reality if you stabilize them well enough and don't create weird stuff.
They can even be "more" realistic, but this is quite hard to explain if you haven't tried to empower your senses yet.
"[...] As a result, the practitioner may decide that a parallel world has been entered: the world beyond, the astral plane, mental space, or the ether. Although travel in the phase can lead to many places, this does not mean that the phase allows travel through or use of actual, alternate worlds. The practitioner should be reasonable"

I think you misunderstand what he meant by "feel". KingYoshi didn't mean feel as in feel the sandals on your feet, he meant feel as in feel how dreams are different to real life.

What was the difference? You knew you were dreaming. In real life, you know it is real life. It's that knowledge that separates the two. Don't worry, you won't one day get mixed up and try to stop a car with your hands and end up 20 yards up the street with much less blood than before- you will know what is real, and what is a dream.

The whole point to lucidity is to feel the reality when it isn't there. If it doesn't feel real, then it's a crap lucid. If it doesn't feel real at all, then it's a dream. But either way, you are not worried about telling the difference, or you know which is which already.

I remember there was one guy here, tommy or timmy or something, who went on shrooms and thought he was dreaming. He tried to jack a lady's car.

If you really are worried about one day trying to stop cars, then just do R.Cs. One thing dreams can't do is perfectly mimic reality. Your brain just can't do all the shadows and physics and noises and details and textures and colours like real life can.

Reality checks will also work. Just do them before you feel like trying to be a hero.
