Reality checking text, problems

Hi,

This is the second time I make a dream where there is text and (that I remember)....
It was not moving/changing, it was as coherent as in real life.

is this the same for some of you?

Was this a lucid dream or no? If it was, I think it is important to expect/imagine it to change. Really think about the text changing, and not just look away and back at it mindlessly. If it wasn't a lucid dream, perhaps it would have to do more with awareness? Remember that expectation and imagination affect your dreams a lot! Hopefully if you practice more, this problem will be eventually solved

no it was not a lucid dream :/
I was hoping to train myself to notice text incoherence to attain lucidity.

According to laberge, text should change/morp/be incoherent in dreams.
Guess I should find an other way to test reality.

I've had this as well. I was in a really vivid dream (non lucid) and I saw my name on a box, I then looked to my friend to tell him then looked back, and it was the same.

The thing about reality checks are that they are a form of dream control, and with all dream control; you must expect it to happen. When using the read-text as a reality check, make sure you expect it to change for it to work
