How do you know if your close?

Hey guys! I'v been trying the DILD technique for about a month. I'v been doing good RCs and my recall is pretty good. I WBTB every night and on week days have a pretty stable sleep schedule. I also use mantras but not very well. The progress I'v seen is dream recall and I question things IN my dreams. For example, I was showering in one of my dreams, and insted of a screen to make sure the water doesn't come out of the shower, it was a very little bar. I remember saying "whats that going to do?". So my question is, how do I know when I'm making progress? I haven't questioned if I was dreaming yet, so I don't know if I'm actually close or still years away. If anyone either has tips or just anything at all to tell me if im close or getting closer or anything, please comment
      Thanks!

First work on daytime self awareness or you'll get nowhere, trust me. Second, you know your close when you start to dream about having a lucid or attempting one / talking to people about them. Years away? If you go hardcore on the awareness you'll get 1 very soon

I say keep on trying. You sound like you've gotten better and are dedicated to it. Those are useful tools in helping yourself get a lucid dream. All Day Awareness works well even for beginners. Also, how often do you do a reality check. And what types of reality checks do you do. The standard nose plug seems to work well, but I like questioning the situation. Useful if you're in a public place and don't want to feel up your nose lol.

I usally first ask myself if im dreaming then if I say im not, I find reasons why. I look at letters/numbers and see if they change or if they make sense. Then I will just look around and see if everything seems right and makes sense. Then, I conclude by saying either i think im dreaming or not dreaming, then I do a nose rc.

Well, In a Dream anything we see, feel, act, is Real, the brain just accepts it. Imagine remembering your past activities, whether your in a Pre-School, high school life, yet most of that memories are memorable. Now in a Dream, Our brain uses it's full potential by sorting and erasing some useless memories, like walking into a crowded area and most of the peoples face are not clear, except people you know, that's why Dream's in Memories are in fact are easily remembered right? Your brains just "Hmm this one is good","Just forget this". Now, we get to the point, Write a short story before you go to bed, just like a Dream Journal in advance!. Well while writing a story "try to visualize and memorize the script". It is just like studying the night before an exam. continue to visualize even your eye's are shut. well i've try it. My Dream started by writing in my desk and said "wait a minute i've already finish it!" them im realizing "Im in a Dream"

"Sorry for a Long explanation" "i may not guarantee it 100% successful but, you just need to be an "Experienced Dreamer"

Something which helped me get closer to lucidity was saying a mantra after I did a reality check such as "Im not dreaming this time, in my dream I will be aware by doing a reality check" First day after doing that after I saw it on a thread around here I got a semi-lucid.

apple juice when you WBTB just THINK it will work. And tell everyone who cares, about what you'll dream about when you become lucid for the night!
