crystal clear closed eye visuals while awake?

Whenever I close my eyes and imagine something, I can create a fairly detailed image, but it's very dark and shadowy, like looking through a black fog. But whenever I dream at night, I can see things crystal clear. I figure if I can see clear images when I'm dreaming, I should be able to do the same while awake.

I recently came across a few people who can see things as vividly with their eyes closed, as when they're open, even during the day when they're wide awake. The closest I can come to that kind of clarity is when I'm borderline between sleep and awake. The visuals are very clear, bright and colorful, but I can't control what images I want to see. I'm consciously awake, but random images pop into my mind.

Anyone know how I can train myself to see things as clearly with my eyes closed, as when they're open? I'd like to be able to do this when I'm wide awake, at will. Thanks.

I see things low detailed and translucent. My sister says she sees perfectly clear when she imagines them. IDK i guess some people are different in this skill. shes an artist maybe thats why. I hear things perfectly in my head even music with a lot of instrument parts. but im a musician.

Study visual meditation. Keep the visualizations simple at first and build up to more complex images. We visualize and we dream in the same area of the brain, the secondary visual cortices (collectively known as cortex). This is why visualization is easier as you are drifting off to sleep. Anyhoo, hope this helps!

Different people give different value to the same thing. Some much exaggerate their abilities. If someone sees things with closed ayes he must see same things with open. He/She has mental problems.

This is something I want to achieve. I'm becoming better at it, but only upon waking. This morning I could use my smartphone to browse the internet (I use it very often so it is something my brain knows well). The images weren't crystal clear and I had difficulty reading more than one word here and there but the stability was something unusual (like 10 sec or more) and I could evoke the home and start again when losing concentration (this is the difficult part, not thinking about what you are doing but just doing it, if this makes sense). Definitely not something I can do at will during the day. This way yesterday morning I entered the lucid state.
