      The Lucid Chart 1.0

      Lucid Chart 1.1.jpg

      Hello all.

I am attempting to put together a simple chart, that can be printed out, for a folks who are new to LDing. I have attached my first draft. All opinions and suggestions are welcome.

^^If you click on the chart above it should be large enough to read.

      Thank you.

      Total LDs (some very brief) = 2004: 4 * 2005: 18 * 2006: 16 * 2007: 2 * 2008: 0 * 2009: 0 * 2010: 1 * 2011: 12 * 2012: 3 * 2013: 1 * 2014: 6 * 2015: 1 * 2016: 0 * 2017: 18 * 2018: 3 * 2019: 0 (so far)

I like the idea of it, good idea to have a quick reference chart. Just gotta say though that the layout seems a little confusing. Like how do the categories in each column each relate to each other, and how does each column lead to the next one (the arrows)?

Maybe instead of a flow chart like that you could start out with something like this one with lucidity at the middle? I don't know if that would work as well though fitting all the words in there but it's just a quick suggestion.

Fantastic chart tygar! Very useful for beginners and a great reminder for all levels of lders!

I especially like what you have written under lucidity - having more lds, on a consistent basis improves your chances of having even more lds. This is also in line with a conclusion I reached in recent days when contemplating how to get more and more lds, moving towards the goal of 365 lucidity (every day) or towards the mysterious and elusive quest for 100 % lucidity. Just keep them coming!

My original intention was a bubble chart similar to what you posted. But it took up more than one page because of all the additional words in each box. I could add headers to the columns to provide more clarity.

Hi, I've enjoyed reading your chart but I have a question.

I do all of the things on the chart (apart from meditation and sleep consistency). But will it matter about the sleep consistency because I'm getting enough hours of like sleep, but as it's the holidays I don't have a time where I go to bed, so it can range from 12am - 4am. (I'm kind of a night-owl). But I thought that woulden't matter as I'm still getting enough hours of sleep even thought going to bed later. So will it affect me much?

I have found that not having a consistent time to bed (give or take 30 minutes) can negatively impact my dream recall, which impacts my awareness and WBTB. I am very consistent Sunday through Thursday nights. The weekends can vary and I've had weekend mornings where I have very little recall and no chance for WBTB. In consistency seems to throw off your sleep habits and intent. I'm sure the level of impact varies from person to person.

But sleep consistency is difficult to maintain for most people.

Thank you. BrandonBoss has been helping me (and doing a great job) increase my number of LDs. That was one of the first things he said. Getting lucid as much as possible should be the #1 goal. When I am having LDs more consistently then I can start to set "what I will do in my LDs" goals. I'm would love to reach the point of having LDs in every dream.

Yes, Brandon gives great advice! Happy to read we're on the same page.

I like your systematic approach to lding too, I'm sure you'll reach fantastic lucid heights. Also, don't hesitate to set goals for your lds even at an early stage, this really helps to get the most of your ld time and opportunities.

I like it. I think maybe a pyramid shape would better reinforce the relationship you're trying to convey? In that they build on each other toward the top goal of lucidity. (Or maybe the old USDA Food Pyramid has ruined the pyramid diagram for most people.) Linked a few references that suggest possible layout.

I like it, but you should add three more columns - induction technique (mild...), supplements(galantamine, milk...) and ''qualities'' (motivation, will-power, patience, focus, mood...)
