I can daydream/dream at will. I'm not sure if it's hallucinations, but it feels like a dream. It's pretty awesome.

I have DILD pretty much every night without effort. The only problem I'm having lately is that my rc fails alot and I don't really WILD anymore since I share a bed.

I have 2 heads, I can Walk on the watter IRL and I am able to lift 3000 kg ( ) , but work hard on my WILD attempts so that I could be as successful at WILD without Supplements as I am when I take Galantamine.
So far I can barely WILD naturally, but I keep on trying as often as I can, since I don't try to have DILDs any longer.

I used to be able to WILD successfully at will! I have lost my confidence now though and my success rate is more like 30% at the moment.
I like DILD and WILD for different reasons; I have DILD's much more frequently and without much effort on my part, so that's nice, but I have a lot more control over where the dream starts when I WILD and I can induce a LD right then and there, which is awesome! I also personally tend to have better waking life memory during WILDs.

What was your routine to WILD and what has changed so that you can't WILD with as much success anymore?

I used to take afternoon WILD naps where I would either WILD by focusing on my senses, feeling the dream until I was in it, or I would ignore my hallucinations until I was in a dream and then start doing stuff.
I don't know what happened, it's quite strange, I stopped having confidence after my WILDs ended very quickly a couple times, then I started to just lose consciousness when I would try to WILD, and now I can't seem to do it very often at all lately. My confidence in my dreaming abilities has been building up more lately so maybe I'll be able to WILD like I used to soon enough, I hope!

I never really got what an afternoon nap is... Why do you enter REM instantly in the afternoon, but not under the same circumstanses 4-5 hours later? Am i missing something here?

      Edit: Thanks for the answer.

      your question is relevant !

      This is my theory:
Personally, when I take a nap I barely have REM sleep, but I guess the reason is that every night I can sleep late in the morning until I don't need to sleep anymore, then I just get up.
Generally, people use to be awoken by an alarm (to go to work) before they have finished their natural need of sleep, and we all know that REM sleep is more present in the late morning, so they miss some REM sleep.
so, people who do that and take a nap in the afternoon will have a REM rebound, which explain their ability to WILD since they do have REM in their nap.

      Edit:
+ they probably do have enough deep N-REM sleep in their night, so their nap wont have much N-REM sleep, and they will maybe have no deep sleep to deal with.
They probably just have to deal with short Non Deep N-REM sleep, and then the REM is kicking in.

WILD works for me 50% of the time. Half of the time either because my auditory hallucinations are too disturbing and devilish or my entering dream/OBE symptoms get too intense I feel I might not be able to return, it is scary so I stop. DILD is effortless, not scary and works fine too but despite all I'd say WILD is the best method if you want the best, vivid, "wild" lucid dreams.

      Here are my WILD tips:
      1. Always focus on your hypnagogic hallucinations before falling asleep.
      2. When you have free time, lie on your BACK and meditate focusing on one sense. I suggest focusing on what you see eyes closed, watch colors explode, forms change... Soon you'll be comfortably seeing shapes whenever you lie. The next step should be trying to move these shapes yourself, change the colors... Focus on the back of your eyes. Try to feel that spinning/flying/rising feeling.
      3. When you wake up in the middle of the night for a WILD attempt, get up, walk around and change room. Continue your sleep on a less comfortable bed/couch.
      4. Set a WILD dream entering scene. Get used to it, start your journey with it. Make it something that feels like your dream entering symptoms. For example swinging, flying, floating etc.
      5. Finally, learn to love your auditory hallucinations

Sure, I generally can WILD at will... and so can you ... or anyone else for that matter!

The key part of your question is the "at will" bit. WILD's, after you get used to doing them correctly, will tend to always work if your will is in the right place. However, getting your will -- and your head -- in that place can be a real challenge sometimes.

I don't prefer WILD's or DILD's; each has their role, based on when I am expecting to LD. I really don't think one is better than the other for transitioning to LD's, nor do they need to be.
