Wild snoring but not Lucid ?

      So i tried wild!!!

Im lying there doing all the right things and then i notice and observe myself snoring!!! as im snoring away i am aware that i am conscious but im not lucid or dreaming. Now i know that i should be in rem and i must be asleep due to the snoring but im not in a dream. Confused !

You can fall asleep consciously into NREM sleep as well. When that happens, you maintain that state until you reach REM sleep.

Thanks Dolphine, its always good to have someone reply consistently to peoples posts. The next time i do wbtb and find myself observing myself snoring should i just wait and hold that state? If rem is just around the corner then i guess lucid would kick in?

      Heyya

I've had that expereince a number of times. As Dolphin says, its likely you are falling into Nrem sleep. Sometimes this can be lovely and equally fascinating as any lucid.. times it can take a long time for rem and dreaming to occur but if you just allow and maintain awareness, its quite a journey. Ive heard other people mention that they sense or pick up where they are in the sleep cycles, and if REM might be close, they go for a WILD but if not they choose not to hang around for an hour or 1 1/2 hours, as I seem to have done at times. Instead they go for a DILD
Different idea, sometimes we can be asleep and at the stage of dreaming but not necessairly realise it. Following something I'd heard somewhere, sometimes, in the blackness, I've chosen to open my eyes and see what happens, and my dream eyes open to a fully formed lucid. Quite a cool transition.
