      Sleep patterns and REM patterns

I work nights which means i will be awake from 10pm till 8am....once im home i will then get comfy and easily fall asleep due to bieng at work all night.Im going to attempt to wild using certain methods that help me.Some people say that if you try and wild when u first go to bed at night and u suceed then it will just b darkness because your not in REM sleep yet....will this happen if i try a wild when i finish in the day? Iv had a succesful wild not too long ago which happened at the start of the night which is strange....i hope wilding will be a success for me when i finish work as it doesnt take me too long to fall to sleep =)

It is true that attempting WILD without prior sleep is usually not recommended. But, in my years on DV, there are few who have claimed to do it and I think a common condition is people with very irregular sleep schedules, which seems to be the case for you. So, go for it and experiment. My hypothesis is that the irregular schedule creates a persistent sleep debt and REM rebound.
I am sure about illusion. I am not so sure about reality.
