Tinnitus Jet engine but no take off!

Hi, so ive been experimenting with Canwild with some success. The last few nights my alarm has aroused me gently whilst dreaming. On these occasions I immediately switched my awareness to the hissing in my ears. Each time the hissing immediately went from a normal hiss to an absolute roar as i transitioned back to sleep. I tried separating during this jet engine noise but couldnt move at all and then woke soon after

Does anyone have any suggestions here? Should I have switched to a different technique such as visualization or levitation?

      Thank you
      Ezzo

CANWILD is like a way to DEILD, right?

I’ve had a few DEILDs and some near ones…the ones that failed were due to the fact that I brought my mind too much back to reality in the brief moment after waking up (also the reason I’ve woken up early from DILDs; I accidentally thought too much about reality as I was worrying about staying lucid). So what I would say is:

When you are using something like tinnitus (or any other anchor like visualization etc.), it would be better to use it as a passive tool for awareness rather than being overly-focused on it. Just like with traditional WILD, too much focus on an anchor will most likely keep you awake. Instead you need to keep a quiet mind and if you are going to focus on something as you stay passively aware, make it a confident anticipation of the LD you will have, or even “continue” your last dream in your mind as you wait out the few seconds until it happens. Also don’t get too caught up in “separating”. As you fall asleep this should happen on its own, trying to influence falling asleep will most likely work against you.
