      Hi Mitchellkid,
For how long have you been trying? On an average day and night, what (how long, how much) do you do to promote lucid dreams? How is your dream recall? What resources/books have you read on lucid dreaming?

Lucid dreaming is very much a personal journey of discovery: you need to be patient, learn about and try many different approaches to find what works for you. It requires consistent effort over time to show progress.

Take babysteps and lower your criteria for personal success.

If becoming lucid in a dream is a big obstacle for you right now, break the goal down into smaller pieces.

This is how I started: I made dream recall my only focus. I made dream recall my personal goal!
But... I quickly realized that I had zero dream recall and that I was one of those who believed that I didn't even dream every night.

So then I broke this goal down to: If I remember ONE fragment of a dream it's a success!

Then I had a theory about the relationship between short-term memory and dream recall so I made up a method where I journaled my day and I ended up remember 4 dreams a night! It was my first thread on dreamviews! http://www.dreamviews.com/dream-sign...reams-try.html

After this my goal was: If I write in my daily journal it's a success!

Over time these goals evolved and so did my state of consciousness.

Now my goal is: If I meditate before going to bed it's a success!

So my point for your criteria of success is to not make it about whether you attain a result or not, make it about the process!

When you lower your criteria of success and focus on learning, nothing HAS to work, because YOU do the work!

      Peace

If you would describe in (much more) detail what you do specifically during the day and night to promote lucid dreaming, and for how long you've been doing this (and whether you've been doing it consistently or on and off), we could be of more help.

How many RCs in a typical day? How long do you spend with heightened awareness while doing each RC (hopefully you're experiencing heightened awareness and not just doing a quick RC then forgetting the whole thing, if you do it that way that could explain why you haven't gotten lucid yet).

For the third and last time, I'll ask: how long have you been practicing (when did you start), has it been every day or just once in a while?

Do you notice any difference in your dreams at all since beginning? Is your recall improving? Are your dreams getting more vivid?

How much sleep do you get on a typical night?

You're on the right track, then. 2 months is not long. Many people take longer than that. If your dreams are getting more vivid and recall way better, then just keep going. Enjoy all your dreams, do not think that "not lucid = failure," that can hurt your progress.

you've spent a large part of life sleeping unaware. So, give it time, you will hone this skill. Be patient, and keep your motivation to lucid dream high/consistent.
