Things used to be the opposite with me, a long time ago. When I would close my eyes in a dream, the dream would always end. That doesn't happen now, thankfully... unfortunately the reason why likely has to do with not actively trying to LD for the last 4 or 5 years, but still getting about 6-10 LDs naturally just from being trained to/previous knowledge. In a nutshell, I've had time for my association with closing my dream eyes ending my dream (quite frustratingly because I'd do it on accident all the time) to dissolve/dissociate. Take Him's advice, don't stress about your eyes. The more you associate this with opening your real eyes, the more likely it'll be that it happens. It can be hard to ignore, I know.
Just to clarify, when you get lucid in these instances, you're not dreaming/in a dream to begin with? That's a bit strange. Can you feel your surroundings or hear things, but just not see the dream? If not, can you move your dream body? Use some passive dream control and remember that every time you enter a dream, you can take a pill that's in your right pocket that will allow you to open your dream eyes or see the dream world with your eyes shut. That or do the same with imagining a reason for some goggles to be next to your leg/around your neck that you can put over your eyes that allow you to see without opening your dream eyes, or that they separate the link between your physical eyes and your dream eyes which allows you to safely open your dream eyes. You could get some unintended results/consequences using this method, but that makes it all the more interesting to use it. You can also do some other variation, like some kind of hand signal or placing your hands around your eyes like goggles could also be something that allows you to open your dream eyes.
Really your options are only limited to your imagination and how well you're able to utilize the power of suggestion/expectation. Remember that being in a dream means you're in an altered state, like hypnosis, which makes you very open to suggestion. It's obviously not the same state as being hypnotized or highly relaxed as you're being hypnotized, but honestly you should be that much more prone to suggested ideas and concepts because you're not just in a more relaxed state, but have significantly altered mental activity. Even if you feel very alert in an LD, you're still operating in a highly different brain state with many parts all but shut down or with altered functionality.
