      Trouble with False Awakenings

So lately I've been having a lot of issues with false awakenings. Sometimes I'll even think it may be a dream but the circumstances in the false awakening are usually very similar to daily real awakenings. Have tried doing reality checks every morning when I wake up but can't seem to remember to do them when I wake up from a dream still dreaming. Any tips or thoughts would be appreciated.

Try to find which parts of your false awakeings happen more often - i.e. maybe you are looking at the mirror or the clock, or just looking around the bedroom and then focus RCing during the same moments when you are awake. You can also use mantras to help you remember to RC.
Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is.

I had a lot of success with mantras before/as I was going to sleep - maybe you'll have the same success? Stick at your RC's too, no doubt they'll help out sooner or later. Best of luck.

Could possibly incorporate your dream journaling closer to when you wake up. Brings up dreaming in a passive way, aswell as a task that in this instance would act as a Reality check.

Very powerfull technique is reminding in your lucid dream that there may be false awakening soon. Just remind this every 5 minutes and kind of a expect that it will happen. And when it does, you will remember that it can be false awakening and you gain lucidity again. With this technique I actually enter nonREM phase consciously, that was amazing

Always assume you are dreaming. The more you RC every time you wake up, more likely they will start happening in your dreams, including FAs.

What a good thing to do is, every time u wake up, do a reality check, I like to try to put my Finger Through my palm or try to look at my nose with my eyes and if it shows up there ur really awake if it's not there ur lucid. But what I'm trying to get at, is do a reality check every time u wake up even if u know ur really awake do one anyway, Just so u get in the habit of doing one every time
