      Hunger-initiated lucid dream

The basic idea behind it is to remember to do a RC each time you eat something. In the past few days, I've been testing some limits with my body and decided to test how many hours i could go on without eating, just for the fun of it . Yesterday, i went on for more than 9 hours without eating and went straight to bed.

During that night, i woke up after 4:30 of sleep, and i felt so HUNGGGRY i got dizy when i stood up. I then went to bed, but i was unable to go to sleep, i kept fantasizing about the craziest meals. Some moments (minutes?) later, i got myself into a dream: I was having what looked like a triple Bigmac in a fancy restaurant (although i haven't been to McDonalds for years). There were a lot of people around looking at me, i realized i was making a lot of noise while i eating... Mayonnaise and lettuce were dripping all over me, i was a complete mess but i didn't care.

Then i had this genius idea to do a RC and i instantly knew i was dreaming, no questions asked. I took the rest of my coke and threw it at an old lady who kept staring at me (with an open, toothless mouth). Then i decided to get out of the restaurant, and i saw a jaw-drapping scenery à la Willy Wonka: Candy growing on trees, rainbows, chocolate houses... It was fucking AMAZING!!! At first, i couldn't see anybody, and found the place a bit creepy, but then i decided to run (for no reason) and impulsively pick up as much candy and chocolate as i could, i was way too excited to control myself, so i just woke up afterwards. And needless to say, i had the most amazing breakfast of my life right after

Anyways, not a very practical inducing technique, but for those really (and i mean REALLY) desperate about having an LD, you can't go wrong with it. Feel free to post your results here.

WOW. How could you do that to the old lady /jk.

Well it seems to have worked, but that might just be because you fantasized about eating right before going to bed again. Then again, maybe your Hunger Initaited Lucid Dream Idea works lmao.

How good did the food taste? If your big mac tastes good then that should be a giveaway that you're dreaming

I honestly don't remember how it tasted, but it doesn't really matter since i simply had to RC when i ate, regardless on how the food tasted.
The whole idea behind it is to condition yourself to question your reality when you "satisfy" your body. It could be from a lack of water, sex, etc. I remember reading an interesting article about the "Hunger" inducing technique some months ago, but i can't find it anymore. Any help in finding it would be appreciated...

The only problem I see with that is that I never feel the urge to eat or drink in my dreams, no matter how long I may have gone without food or drink in real life.

Try not to eat for 9 hours, and believe me, you'd be dreaming about the biggest frigging buffet ever.

Sorry, it just doesn't seem to work that way for me. Yesterday I had next to nothing to eat all day, and my dreams (that I recall -- and I do recall a couple of doozys from last night) did not involve hunger, food, or eating at all.

Hrm. Now that I think about it, one of the dreams may have had one part that involved a picnic -- but there were these alien microbes / insects / whatever all over everything, and I don't recall any eating taking place.

Bottom line -- everyone is different. This may work for you, and maybe for a lot of others as well. I'm just saying that I don't think it would work too well for me, except maybe on a very rare occasion. Plus, I don't really feel like starving myself, when I know other ways of becoming lucid.

Wow, that's an interesting way to induce a LD. Couldn't you do this with any physical need, if you deprive yourself of it? ...besides sleep...ha

Of course everyone's different, some people couldn't go on 30 min without having a snack. I understand this isn't a very practical inducing technique, i certainly wouldn't do it everyday, but you will most certainly get lucid with it. Of course, there are many easier and less demanding ways, but i don't think they have as much higher success rate.

I think it's possible to have the same effect with any physical need, like if you're sexually active, you'll most certainly have a sexual dream if you deprive yourself for a week. You could condition yourself to think about a RC each time you think about sex.
Of course, same applies with water, but we don't want to get dangerous now, do we
