      Dhea?

the past few weeks have been pretty interesting.

I was having problems sleeping and my wife said I was snoring pretty bad. so, I had a sleep study done. no sleep apnea but they did say I snored pretty bad. Seems to be a lot worse when using the AC vs windows open.

still feeling tired I decided to start taking DHEA. After a couple days, even after nights of drinking, I started having VERY long and vivid dreams. I'm also taking a B Complex and some others, but nothing that I think would affect dreams.

I've been able to do this almost every night now, andit's wonderful. I feel more rested, more energy during the day, etc.

Now, the only problem is becoming lucid. These dreams are so vivid and odd I find myself waking up and telling myself "oh come on... you should have become lucid there!"

After years of DILDs and recently a few WILDs now I'm back to dreaming heavy but not being able to attain lucidity.

I'm sure it will come back soon. I need to start doing the TOTM again.. usually havingn something to do helps a lot...

Last night, about 30 minutes of dreaming about Jeff Foxworthy! lol.. why, I have no idea. I did see a show on VH1 where it mentioned him making good money, but that's it... I remember talking to him, and even looking in this big window that had a tree carving or something telling him "look, even that tree looks like you!" And he just looked at me like "oh man.. this guy is wack."

anyhow, I am guessing that the DHEA is helping with this... I feel 100% better during the day, and am sleeping a lot better too.

is this something over the counter or does it have to be prescribed to you?

      sounds pretty awesome!

i have trouble falling asleep at night too, so this might be something i could use doubly!

I don't know what DHEA is.

Do you RC during the day at all? Try doing that.. or if you already do it, change when you do it or the type of RC.

it's at most stores... suppodely it and meletonin go together well. look in the vitamin isle. But read on it first. it may give women facial hair and men boobs, but I think that's just the FDA talking trying to scare you away from natural supplements.

I RC only when I feel like I'm dreaming during the day. hard to explain. usually the nose plug. Just need to get back into it. the dreams alone are a welcome return after months of nothing.

Anyhow, looking forward to sleeping tonight again, even without lucidity. it's hard to explain how vivid my dreams have been. Maybe I need an nightmare to wake me up in my dreams, but I scared those off years ago with lucidity.

Why don't you try RCs every time you use the bathroom or walk through a door or something... I think your current RC is really good but the problem is we seldom feel like we're dreaming when we actually are!

That's very cool about having really vivid dreams. Do you record them?

the information I found on DHEA is pretty vague. It seems to be widely used.. but for what? Do you think it will definitely improve dream vividness?

Hey! Wow I never thought Id see this thread on here. Well I'm new to the forums, but Ive been on DHEA for about a month as a bodybuilding supplement. It's caused me to have about 4 LDs, on the second one I found this forum and made an account.

So, yea DHEA does seem to work. Although I'm only 20, they say younger people who are under alot of stress and/or have been through depression have much lower levels of DHEA in their body. It's been giving me more energy, a bigger appetite, and bigger gains in the gym.

The night I had my best LDs in my life was the night I forgot to take my DHEA in the morning so I took it at night before bed. And then the next day I made my first thread on here
