Unhappy Waking up at the same time...every night.

I've been super stressed out lately and I'm not sleeping well. Every night I'll wake up one to two times. Almost always it's at exactly or about 2:22 AM. I do the reality checks and it's not a false awakening, but I'm wondering why such a precise time.

Earlier in the year, when I was stressed out for midterms, I woke up during the night at exactly XX:00. Always right on the dot.

Anyone know what's happening? Or is it really a lucid and I'm just an idiot?

I've had three DILDs in the last year, one tactile, two in the last three months that were dreamlike.

Looks like a perfect chance to try FILD.

This is actually not uncommon. I think the precise timing has to do with our biological clock. I had a period during high school where I would wake up at 3:14AM every night. It's probably the stress that's affecting your sleep, as you mentioned.

I'm sure after all this stress goes by, I won't have to deal with this waking up thing.

And I have tried FILD, but I find that when I wake up I have to move to check my watch, then turn over to get comfortable. I read somewhere (somehow) that moving is bad. :/

I always wake up at the same times everynight. Usually 3 am on the dot. Its usually always in increments of 1 hour and a half like the sleep cycle.

I agree with this. Actually, I believe that it may be even more precise than many of us know. There are times when I will have a certain sleep pattern that I've gotten used to, and then something will come along to where I have to wake up much earlier than normal. I will set my alarm, and if it's something important, I will usually go to be stressing about "Man I really hope I don't over sleep!" And, even though it's completely anomalous to the amount of time I'd been sleeping for like weeks at a time, I will wake up about 5 minutes before my alarm goes off, as if I was so deeply anticipating what time I had to wake up, that my body kept track and even woke me up before my alarm had to.

For a while I'd wake up at 3:33AM every night. It was kind of creepy.
