      Frequent RCs

There's a setting on my watch that makes it beep at the top of every hour. So now, every time it beeps, I first take extended notice at my surroundings and heighten my senses. Then I do an RC. I heighten my senses first because if I do get lucid, it will be very vivid.

This gets me about 11 extra RCs a day in addition to what I usually do.

I just started doing this today. For those of you who do something similar, how many DILDs did it yield?

That's not how it works. If you do it like that, it will become habitual, and if that happens, you'll have a 99% fail rate. Just do it when something weird happens, so it's a reality check and not Hourly Nose Pinching Time.
What if I told you that I am dreaming right now?
That your whole life is a lie?
That the laws of physics as you know them are incorrect?

Furthermore, what would you do if I told you I'm going to wake up as soon as you finish reading my signature?

That's note entirely true, at least for me. But LOL at "Hourly Nose Pinching Time". I do the nose reality check quite randomly, whenever it occurs to me, in addition to whenever something odd happens. The fact that you take good notice of your surroundings is good as well, however I question it because.
Are you wearing a watch in your dream? Will it beep? Will you check if it doesn't?

I'm not saying it couldn't work, everyone is different. The habitual thing isn't bad in my opinion. Habit is good. It's the strict schedule of it that worries me. For me when I've actually DONE it, the nose reality check has not failed. Possibly because I thought that was just so cool and never questioned it for a second. Belief is power.

Have you actually used this in the dream? If not I suggest using the hands rubbing technique instead. Because I think you will take notice of your surroundings in the dream and accept it as it is. The hands rubbing is a proven way to extend the dream/vividness. Y not try this instead...When your watch beeps, rub your hands quickly, rubbing one hand over the other together making them appear as if you have 20 fingers and after that check if your hand is the same as before you rubbed them....my bet is your mind will be confused and give you all 20 fingers on one hand. By doing that you are doing 2 things at the same time. Extending the dream and checking if you are dreaming.
