      Damn

I find it near impossible to remeber what to do. This is why DILD is near impossible for me.

Urgh!!! I read this in the morning, then totally forget about it all day long. It does not even occur to me to try and remember it. I guess that's why I fail at DILD.

It doesn't really matter what I'm trying to remember. I will just forget about remembering it. I don't know how to fix or improve it either. If I can't remember to remember the daily dreamsign, then I won't get better at it. I would have to get better at remembering to remember to remember it, which would recquire remembering to remember to remember to remember it.

wow....remember is such a strange word. It looks funny.

Oops, I'd been responding to Denny's and didn't see yours.

Are you trying to visualize the targets before you start the day? For example, as soon as I established that the caps were today's target, I imagined myself opening my contacts case and reminded myself to remember to RC when I went upstairs.

You could also find an association with the task. For example, a lot of drink caps are screw-on. Every time you are thirsty, or think of water, you could try to remember the task, just to get yourself started. Maybe even put a rubber band on your wrist or something?

Today's task: Become aware every time you see or think of PLASTIC BAGS. Reality check first and foremost.
Make an effort to become very aware of your surroundings. Do at least three reality checks.
Imagine you have just become lucid, and make sure to 'stabilize'.

Good luck everyone. Remember to visualize ahead of time! Checkout lines, sandwich bags, garbage on the side of the road...

I did very badly yesterday despite caps being a very workable target. So many times I had a moment walking away from the fridge and realised I had missed the sign.
Today I have been carrying a scrap of paper and a pencil in my pocket and marking down when I notice a bag. This seems to be working well as I have five hits on my little scorecard already.

That's a good idea, especially to help get yourself into it!

Those moments are ok too, it means you're still remembering, it's just a little bit delayed... which means you're off to a good start!

      Plastic bags....that should work.

And I think I might be seeing some progress of this. I've been working really hard at it, and last night I had a dream in which I was camping. There was some sort of natural disaster, and I had to flee home in a teleporting shower. I actually questioned the teleporting showers. I was like, " hey, mankind doesn't know how to teleport. So why does a camp sight have teleporting showers?" I almost became lucid, but I got too caught up trying to flee.

I don't know who or what to atribute the partial success to, but I'm still really happy about it.

Yea, isn't that the trouble with DILD You really can't specify how or what exactly is helping you reach the lucidity All I know is, my LD count and stability went up with the last DD thread so I'm gonna keep it up I'm glad to hear that this is probably helping you a bit, too

"probably" helping? I've NEVER questioned something that didnt make since in my dreams before. The only way I've ever DILDed before was by incubating the dream then recognizing the incubated dream. So this is like a major breakthough.

Trust me, after typing this up, Targets was the funny looking word.
Haven't had a lucid dream in 3 years, and I'm looking to get back into it.

Two prospective memory trainers are surely better than one, so I'm in for the other too.

I'm getting a lot better at this. still, no real change in the frequency of my LDs... I'll keep at it though.

My problem is that I will only remember this at random points in the day. For some reason, I will see the trigger (sports) and just not realize it.

Good twist with 'greetings' yesterday. I hope the people I greeted were not too freaked-out by me pinching my nose, glancing at my watch and muttering 'am I dreaming?'
