      Interesting WILD-MILD hybrid to try

I am a huge WILD fan, but when I fail, I like to have a backup plan. This is for failing by falling asleep, not waking up, FYI, but here it goes: my hybrid double-induction.

      Step one-preparation.
Empty bladder, get in bed, relax.
      Step two-W-MILD.
Concentrate on your breath. As you breathe in, count, 1. As you breathe out, think, I will have a lucid. Repeat (continuing counting obviously).
      Step three-results
You will either stay awake and have a WILD, or fall asleep and (hopefully) have a DILD!

If you try this, please send me the results, because I am interested as to how well this works for non-me entities...

As WILDing is based mainly on the mindset and attitude you have toward the chance you'll have a lucid, this seems to me like you'd be going into the WILD with at least some amount of doubt. I don't mean this doesn't make sense or won't work, it's just that WILDing in theory would then be made harder by this method.

Also, I know I've seen that idea somewhere of counting and using autosuggestion while breathing. I've used it before, I don't remember if it was in Yoshi's WILDing method or in another WILDing method, but I've seen and used that before. I like the idea of how it can remove an uncertainty of the chance of a lucid, but it sounds like it makes WILDing harder. Like you're MILDing with a WILD influence.

I'm not on DV much these days, but I'll try to toss a cool dream or two into my DJ.

I know it's based a lot on mindset--having a backup makes me more relaxed about succeeding! It helps me stop worrying about failure/nonfailure and focus on technique. but if it doesn't work for you, whatever.

Does it really? In that case, sounds like it actually boosts your confidence in having a lucid, which can translate to confidence in a WILD.
