I have had it for a while, about since I was ten. The "attacks" will occur for a week at the most then go away for a month and return. Often times it strikes me when I try to sleep in during the summer or on weekends. For me it sounds like a loud rushing wind and scratching metal noise but I have also heard various banging sounds, half of the time there is a flash and my body will be jolt upward. My worst morning occurred a year ago when I was trying to sleep in and I had five extreme attacks in a row.
If you have this I would love to know what noises you have heard, visuals, or jolting. Have a nice day!
