      2nd Attempt of an OBE

I just attempted another OBE. I listened to a binaural beat from healingbeats.com that's labeled for OBE's, because the first time I tried it, I think I got good results.

I've been sort of 'studying' about OBE's and Astral Projection for about 3 days, and tried only twice for an OBE. In my recent attempt, I listened to the beats and entered the Sleep Paralysis stage. I noticed that I couldn't really feel my body anymore, and I started trying to get out of my body.

At first, I imagined my astral body just leaning up out of my physical body. It didn't work, so I tried to get deeper into the paralysis before trying again. Finally, I felt a tingly, sort of electric feeling from my waist below. I couldn't help my excitement, as I read that this was a common feeling to have right before an OBE.

I tried and tried many different techniques to pull myself out of my body, but I had no luck. Finally, I gave up. I know I haven't tried enough or got enough experience, but I REALLY wanna have my first OBE :] If you would post any tips for pulling yourself 'out' of your body after Sleep Paralysis, I would GREATLY appreciate it!!

I'm afraid, I won't be much help to you. I had the separation happen twice to me. First time, only my feet lifted up, second time was very strong and my whole body lifted up. I didn't know what to do and since this was during WILD and I was trying to LD, I decided to push my head down and enter an LD.

Third time I was also WILDing, but decided to see if I can lift my "dream body". So I just wished "up" and split second later I felt like I'm 10-15 inches above bed. At first, I just wanted to stend up next to bed and be in LD, but instead I willed my body to move and I floated through kitchen and through the wall and exited in LD.

If I may suggest, read post by karen659 here in Beyond Dreaming.

Go deep into sp and imagine your chakras opening. From the root to the top. After, imagine a silver cord of energy coming from the back of your head. Like where the penial gland is located, kinda where your spine ends. Feel the energy coming through the silver cord as you breathe, filling your chakras with love. After you feel very uplifted and light, take the energy you just produced and will the energy out of the silver cord, into your astral body.

      Peace&love

Zacky, this was a great start for someone who has only been studying for about three day!! Wow! You are doing well, getting into sleep paralysis, and even getting the 'tingling' sensations. This is all normal, and it's such a learning curve that you can't hurry it! You will learn with every attempt something different, and you will find there are good days and bad days. It's all part of the process. This is such a 'different' situation to find yourself in, and one that must be done slowly....so don't despair! It WILL come to you!

The best I could suggest is to once in paralysis, visualize the energy circuit as Sleepy suggested or something similar to that. My technique and some common answers are described on my blog here: The Travels of a Dream Walker: 120) Questions and Answers

Once in paralysis, 'let go' and just imagine floating, as if on a cloud or try some 'rocking' sensations, as if on a swing or hammock...that 'loosens' the energy body....or use the rope technique as William Buhlman describes (Astral Projection and Out of Body Experiences ( OBE or OoBE )) and visualize a rope or ladder above you as you pull yourself up.

Good luck, as I know you'll have much success!

I have found that the phase is the best approach for beginners. In just three nights I managed to separate twice. You can go to obe4u.com for further details. Look up the indirect technique. The technique u described is called the direct technique and is usually successful for advanced astral projectors. The indirect technique is about catching those moments in-between sleep where u roll over and fall back to sleep. We do this atleast 2 or three times a night with out noticing. In those moments u should have the intent to separate. Usually I'll gently roll on my back an get the vibrations then I roll out of my body. I'm now learning to get out of the room as my body can pull me back prematurely. Hope this helps namaste
