The Elephant is in control

I heard of people having precognitive dreams before they occurred with me but like things of this nature you don't really fully believe anything until you experience it. I can't say anything else has had such an impact in my life.
How was this possible?
How could i see these events in my brain played out. Of all the explanations there is one that seems the most logical to me. Time is not linear. Our bodies are our anchors in time and obviously our vessels in the physical world.
What you might refer to as your soul is what connects you with time. When your body has severed from the "soul" time has no boundary for that individual. In sleep state i believe your soul can somehow stretch forwards perceiving future information and projecting it to your physical body via dreams.
For those of you familiar with famous sleeping prophet Egar Cayce, you are probably aware that he was able to put himself into a self-induced sleep sate in which he could relay answers to questions asked to him with uncanny results. I believe he was able to detach his soul from his semi-conscious body in this induced sleep state which is why he would return with no memory of the passed event. Although his physical body was right there answering questions his soul was not limited by time.
This would also explain how he could sometimes answer a question before it was even asked, which many people regarded as mind reading. Nothing captivates me more then this subject, if you ask the same questions i would love to hear your opinions
Dear Oreh21
I found this while checking out MatrixMaster's thread The Nature of Unified Consciousness. I find it exciting because it relates to your thread here Piercing The Viod.

Most so called, quote-unquote, Normal Folk, usually live under the illusion that when they use the word “I” they are referring to some “presence” which is inside of the body. (…)
(00:50) But is that awareness “in the body”? (…)
(1:24) you are ignoring the Elephant in your own room. (…)
(1:45) There have been experiments done and now I’m going to talk a little about neurophysiology. There have been experiments done in which people have looked at when and where you become conscious of events that are taking place. (…)
(3:00) And now I am referring to Benjamin Libet and Bertram Feinstein these are two that I often refer to in my work. (…)
(4:44) …has information that tells us *when* we are sensing information. (…)
(5:44) Ok, so what was happening is Ben Libet would actually paste electrodes at various parts of the brain and look to see when the brain actually fired and try to figure out what was actually going on (5:55) in terms of timing. In terms of, when does that brain receive what is called neuronal adequacy (…) in order for the brain to function and the person to wilfully get up and so something or respond to the sensation that is being received.
(…)
(9:39) In other words, how I respond depends on what is happening in the future.
(9:44) Wait, Ah, O, Ah, M, EE, Oo. The mind goes nuts with that. And yet that’s what the data was indicating, that there was some kind of weird Time-Shift going on in the brain. But that’s not all it gets even weirder. (…)
(12:11) It’s kind of like what I call riding an Elephant. You’re on top of an elephant. You’re a little guy. You’re the ego-guru. And you’re riding the elephant.
(12:22) You have a little stick in your hand and if you want the elephant to turn to the right you tap the elephant on its right-ear. If you want the elephant to turn to the left you tap the elephant on its left-ear. So you can tell the elephant the way to go. The only problem with this whole scenario is even though you think you are the one deciding, “Go to the right, go to the left” you’re not.
The elephant is already going and then you tap.
It’s almost like the elephant is communicating with you psychically and telling you, “We’re going to the right” and you get the thought, “I’m going to choose go to the right”. Or the elephant saying, “We’re going to the left” and then you think, “I’m choosing to go to the left”. But it’s an after-thought.
You’re just riding the sacred elephant.
You’re just riding your own elephant. You’re going along for the ride but you have the illusion, you think you are in control. (…)
(14:00) The question is, “What’s your relationship with the elephant?”
or better put, “Who do you relate to the elephant or the ego that rides the elephant?”
Because it turns out that, that’s something that your consciousness is capable of doing. It turns out that you have a power. This power is really powerful. And that power is to associate yourself with either the elephant or the guru-ego riding the elephant. (…)
