OBE and DID/MPD?

Hi, I am new here, I have been looking through all the sites and every information I can find however no one can seem to answer my questions. So in last ditch effort I hope maybe someone will have some help. Just a warning though it probably sounds a little crazy. I would like to know if someone who has multiply personalities can still astral project? And how it can be achieved if some of the personalities don't agree or are frightened of projecting. Lucid dreaming seems to be alright I have done it for awhile now. Now trying to astral project and leave the body whilst the other half of you is clinging to it for dear life is making it very tiresome and annoying. I don't know if anyone knows about this stuff or has even come across it but some help would be nice. I can get to the point where my body drops and starts to vibrate, Just when it feels like you gonna float out, the room starts spining feels like I'm being pulled in every direction than i get really really hot and have to stop. Any help would be appreciated.

I am a multy. R U a multy? when I try ot seems my body gets bigger and bigger and bigger but wont disengage from the physical or float away. It is very pleasant just the same. I get false awakenings, and do stuff, and I like false awakenings a lot. I am sometime a little penguine in my dreams. Sorry, I don't know the answer to your question. And forgive me, if my question is dumb. Can you educate the others about OBEs so they are not scared? Can you leave them a message so they go to websites and learn about it? Can you ask them to let you try just once to see that it's nothing to be scared of? Tell them, that many people consider WILDs to be the same as OBEs. Good luck, hope you'll figure it out.

hi thanks for the replies Debrajane - yes I am multi, I am glad I am not the only multi on here. doesn't seem to be that mpd people can actually disengage from the body or just its abit more difficult for us. I don't know do all your parts/personalites agree or are ok with astral projection ? Because I think maybe thats part of my problem. Gab - There are no dumb questions! I have attempted to educate them but they still think bad people/spirits will get them, or that they'll disappear if they don't have the body to hide in - crazy i know. if you get anymore ideas or thoughts let me know i not giving up yet , takecare jay

Mine aren't scared gab They just want different things. they want to go different places and do different things. and they get to do that in normal dreaming. Often when I wake I lay still and am still in my dream as it evaporates. that may happen to everyone but I think it has something about being a multy. I think as I go from most dreams to full waking consciousness another me, (my work-a-day me) also wakes. that me was not dreaming that dream so it evaporates. When I am not the work-a-day me but the one who dreampt the dream that the body woke out of, then I remember that dream. I might be wrong. 4:10 pm Thursday 22 March here.

I don't know what you guys mean by multi, are you just referring to having MPD/DID? I've never really looked into the terms or anything. I am, though, or I was, or am, I'm in a confusing transitional state.... I dealt with a lot of emotional trauma growing up and the split was always very, very clear, but now I'm starting to deal with it and the line between the two of us is beginning to blur. I've never been able to astral project either though, despite getting really close several, several times. Like you say I'll start to feel really hot or otherwise uncomfortable, one side of me is totally for it but the other side isn't. I don't really have much advice to offer, though. :T

Some people respond, when they are told, that we 'astral travel' every nigth, wheather we are aware of that or not. While we do so, out of our 5-7 subtle bodies (physical, etheric, emotional, astral...), only one of them is traveling, rest of them stay home to 'hold down the fort'. So there is no way, our body 'stays home' alone and empty. Plus, only copy of our consciousness downloads to the traveling body, the original stays with the sleeping body. But I understand, you have to be inclined to believe in things like this to buy the whole astral traveling idea and it may not be easy to convince somebody. It's good thing you are able to LD.
