      Transcendental Enlightenment/talking to God

Hello, I have recently come to find out that just knowing about lucid dreaming and having the time and dedication to do it is a great gift. Although I see that many people on this site just use it as a way to have realistic sex with whomever they want. I even did this at first except after a few times I realized how simple and repetitive my thoughts and goals were. There is something more to lucid dreaming than just having sex or flying, transforming into an animal, etc. of course those are great to experience and try out but I believe there is a greater purpose to lucid dreaming. I believe we are given the ability to lucid dream as a way to experience a higher form of being, to experience feelings, emotions, places, events, and experiences that are beyond what we are able to comprehend in our waking lives. I believe if we are able to reach this higher dimension we may be able to talk to the creator of all things. Maybe the point of life is hidden somewhere in this new dimension that we may seek the truth. So I'd just like to ask anyone here if they have had anything happen like this in their lucid dreams or if they had any similar feelings that can not be imitated in waking life. Or if they have ever felt like they have talked to God in their dreams.

      Thank you

      To answer your question: yes.

So how do we get to the higher dimension?

On an elevator with a whole lot of buttons, all of them unlabeled?

Seriously, though, I think Shamanite has already half-answered that question: we get there through advanced LD'ing, by using the state, and the state's unique potentials, to link our self-awareness with the inner workings of our minds, to dive consciously into the deep, deep waters of our unconscious. Somewhere in these links and dives may lie those transcendental opportunuties, opportunities that might just bring us to all the stuff that Shamanite mentions.

But there's more: lucidity might be just the thing to get us to the higher dimension, but how do we get back? How do we even remember an event or dimension that lacks any possibilty of description because no workable metaphor for comparison exists to communicate what we saw, even to ourselves? Or, perhaps worse, how do we avoid relating these unrelatable adventures to stuff we already know, or at least for which we have established metaphors (i.e., talking to God)? That bit is a real puzzle.
