Thread: Asking the Universe for Guidance

Yeah, this happens pretty frequently to anyone whose undertaken spiritual practices. Being more 'in tune' with the way the world works seems to have this side-effect. What you're experiencing is something thousands of people have all throughout history. Keep meditating and it'll happen more. Try asking the universe for visions. My way of doing it is closing my eyes, meditating for a while then imaginining myself sitting in a room(this is similar to how I V-WILD). Once I feel like I'm actually in the room, I either open a small 'vortex' via the chaos vortex rite(look it up on a chaosmatrix archive) or find a book and open it and read what's inside. I'm not sure if this'll work for you, so, instead, try imagining pure knowledge of the future flowing into you instead of healing energy.

What you're doing is using your own system of magick. There's tons of them, but at their core, they all do the same thing. Once you develop your system more you can use it for tons more stuff. I mostly use mine for money, improved charisma, general good luck and enlightnment. Yeah, selfish, but 20$ is 20$.

If you wanna learn more about this stuff, I recommend surfing the /r/occult subreddit. I'd also pick up a copy of Liber Null, Oven-ready Chaos Magick and Initiation into Hermetics. If you've already had visions of the future and healed yourself using magick, how crazy can it be to believe in more than just that?

Thanks for that proctree. Ill look up the links. Sometimes I get images like that spontaneously, however this was a bit of a different experience since it was a live person and I will absolutely try what you recommended. Thanks again.

I think the reason that guy gets away with it is that he's pretty good at stuff himself, so he's considered more valuable than the people he's cutting down. Or he's been successful at creating a false impression of competence through his arrogance, or more likely some combination. Often people like that are quite talented in a superficial kind of way, but since their limitation is superficiality, they're not very good at recognizing the value of people who are different from them. If they're ambitious, and want a lot more than they really deserve, that compounds the problem.

If I were his boss, I'd tell him to work really hard on changing his behavior, or else try to find somewhere else to work. It doesn't seem to me that many managers have much time for management any more though, they're almost fully busy competing amongst each other, deflecting blame for failures, and claiming credit for other people's work. I'd guess that's the main thing going on here, just a lack of accountability due to apathy.

I live in LA county, but the meeting was in Torrance about a 2 hour drive in rush hour traffic. Blah!
