Thread: Predicted the future!

Was it just "a guy crossing before you on roller blades" or was it a deja vu feeling where you recalled the exact situation to the last detail? That is to say, was your dream exactly as it happened in the wake?

of all the dreams I've logged only a sparce few have kind of predicted the future.

There was a young boy (a cousin of mine) who'd run away. He was gone for days. I had a dream about him, that one of my aunts found him and brought him back, an aunt I hardly ever talk to or even dream about for that matter. I think a day or two later she found the boy and brought him here since my house was closest to the area he was found.

That's the only one time that springs to mind at the moment.

It was more of a deja vu feeling. EVERY SINGLE DETAIL WAS THE SAME!!!

Well, that makes one more report of deja vu being dream-based precognition.
For the record: I've always thought that since I became interested in dreams. >.>

And no, I haven't had any. But I have had deja vu regularly...eerie.

I know, and I wasn't stating that she is the only one that can do so but rather using rhetoric to carry across amazement at the enormous dream recall skill she has.

Yeah this has happened to me a few times. I've just regarded it as coincidence but the most convincing episode was me dreaming of a powercut and of all the days in the year it happened the next day. And how many times do you dream about powercuts in the first place? Weird.

I think something like that happened to me too, except it was an ice storm and then the electric went out for a couple of days. I'll have to check out my previous dream jounals to see if that's correct or not.

Dreams can be interpreted in so many ways. This morning, for instance, I saw the outcome of the Pakcers Giants game. I saw four, then five, and had a very bad feeling. I interpreted it this morning (incorrectly) as touchdowns, and didn't want to mention the bad feeling (Packers' loss). It could've been seen as fourth quarter, fifth quarter (overtime), Packers lose.

I have atleast 1 matrixmemoris a week (i hate the word dejavu so i invented a new one ) and indeed, upon the moment i get the impulse, i know everything that'll happen within the next 5-10 minutes, and it's quite fun to watch others be like "wtf" by answering someones question even b4 that person states it (had something like this once).

Yes - most of the time I get things via a combination of small synchronocities in the waking state which are tied to my dreams. Sometimes they are bigger and more immediate - I posted on this other forum about having a dream that someone got jumped on and their head blew off. Then I went elsewhere on the forum and found a link someone posted to a video - something involving a blow-up person who got jumped on and the head blew off - leaving a stump just like the one had in my dream, too.

I found out a few months ago a friend of mine was pregnant and was due to go on maternity leave in january....i hadn't spoken to her since.

for some reason, last night, during a dream, i was...watching a big screen, like projections?...a university style one? with my own art work on the screen...suddenly, my friend was rolled in surrounded by light in a wheel chair with her husband...with a foetus in her hand....it wasnt fully developed but very active...but she was unhappy, because the child was 'sick'..i didn't know what with or what had happened.

i woke up thinking, wow that was weird, so i wrote it down.

at about 1pm today i got a txt saying "felix wsa born at 11:29am, coming in at 6lbs 15 oz. mother and baby are doing fine!"

....iv been in shock all day! iv never dreamt of her before either

you could have saw somethingt hat wasnt actually there because your brain already logged the information and therefor saw what you THOUGHT you would see

I have Deja Vu quite a bit. Once when I was a kid, I had a dream that we (my family & I) went to Long John Silvers for dinner and I ordered Hush Puppies. We had never been to Long John Silvers (I'm not even sure I knew what it was) and I ordered Hush Puppies, I was sitting down with my food in front of me and completely remembered that part of my dream.

I told my mom and dad about it, I was so excited and a little freaked out! They laughed at me and told me to stop messing around...that I couldn't have had a dream about something I didn't know anything about I was more than a little hurt that they thought I was lying.

Turns out, I didn't even like the Hush Puppies...or any of the food for that matter...

Yeah I have many of these dreams....In short recently dream't my cousin's unborn baby stopped breathing (her baby was due any day) not sure if thats how you put it as they are still in the womb but anyway because I told her she needn't to go and see her doctor as I had a strange feeling that her baby was distressed the doctors were able to save the baby...Now in real life I live in another country as my cousin she is like 10 years younger than me so I haven't really grown up with her but her older sisters and brothers and I are close...Anyway when I woke it was Friday morning I made it a thing to give her a call to see how she was...Anyway she said she was restless and that bubs had been moving sooo much in the last couple of days...I kind of thought that was strange but didn't want to say hey maybe go and see a doctor as I didn't want to freak her having had 4 children myself I knew babies don't really move that much in the last stages as they are too big well thats what doctors say and from personal experience...but now wish I had listened to myself because...come Monday my cousin had her appointment they found bubs heart beat stopped and there was nothing they could do (baby passed) Tuesday she had bubs and by Wednesday morning the doctors believe that bubs died from the movement he made which he strangled himself and actually passed on the Saturday....MAY YOU REST IN PEACE BUBS N FLY WITH THE ANGELS

This happened a month ago and I try not to hold it against myself but I do. The only person I have ever told was my mum and now all of you...Please for the nature of what I have posted I to answer genuine questions as I myself have not fully healed from this experience because It was close to home....But this is just one of many for me....

I've had a few odd dreams like that, although I can't specifically remember anything quite like that. It's more like I'll be in a place and all of a sudden get a flashback to a dream and realize how uncannily familiar it is. Most of that I just write off to the mind creating similarities and chance, but some of them are pretty... surreal.
