I’m posting here to find anyone who might know or has developed a technique for inducing precognitive dreams. After searching the Web for relevant information, I’m disappointed. It seems there is a prevalent belief that precognitive dreaming is something that occurs only several times in a person’s lifetime. But I’ve come to find that this is an erroneous belief. Within several years, I’ve had numerous precognitive dreams, albeit usually of small, personal events; nevertheless, they are dreams of the future. As an example, I shall provide an abstract from a dream I had several months ago.

I dreamed I was at an university, running track with several friends, one of whom I had been a high school mate with, the other a college friend. After running several laps, I asked both if they would care to play soccer with me. My college friend replied that he did not care to play soccer but would rather box. At this moment, my high school mate manifested a set of boxing gloves. I declined to box and found another dream activity to engage in.

In waking life, a week ago I encountered my college friend at my university. I asked him if he was still playing soccer. He replied that he didn’t play soccer anymore, that he had been studying boxing the last several months and was really enjoying it.

Now this is not a great use of precognitive ability, and for the most part, my future dreaming has been of little use other than letting me know that I do have precognitive dreams. Nonetheless, this has made me optimistic about the possibility of influencing and inducing such dreams. The dilemma of course is that it is extremely difficult to isolate what is precognitive and what is not because the future events that transpire are often undetectable, camouflaged in the gestalt array of dream happenings.

I’ve tried using lucid dreams before but with little success. The few times I’ve had such dreams, I’ve been preoccupied with analyzing light and colors and whether sensation and experience is equatable to that of waking life. Once I induced a wise man in my dream, from whom I was intent upon retrieving answers to my questions. After telling a lengthy story, explaining my plight and what I would like help with, he leaned over, moved his mouth to my ear and spoke two minutes of gibberish. His speech was either too quite or too congested to decipher, and I suspected I was losing hold of my lucid dream experience.

So what it comes to is that I ask for any help one can offer in coaxing, cajoling, coercing or dragging, if need be, these dreams from the psyche. Moreover, I hope some of you might be inspired to try to do the same, and we can share our experiences.

Thanks!!
