      astral projection

If we astral project each night then why are we not aware when we astral project. Do we astral project to another place and in that place our dreamscape is created? How exactly does it work? Is being lucid the key that tells us that we are close to finding our astral bodies?

The reason not everyone realizes that they Astral Project every night is the same reason some people don't Lucid Dream (or remember) Lucid Dreaming every night. One we haven't trained our minds to do so. Two some people may not be able to handle the experience. When you Astral Project you are seeing the physical plane as well as the astral plane. For example when I project I see every object in my room exactly as it is, but every item has an aura about it. I also can see entities who reside or who are visiting the astral plane. It's like having an all encompassing sense of sight, sound and feeling. If that makes sense...

Many people don't realize that there are also several other planes of existence past the astral plane. You have the Physcial Plane, next is the Astral or Emotional Plane, next is the Mental Plane, next the Buddhic Plane, next the Atmic Plane, next the Monadic Plane, and lastly the Logoic Plane. Which plane you reside on, and which corresponding body you reside in after death depends on your spiritual level of growth. Most people when they die, move on to exist in the astral body, and reside in the Upper and Lower Astral Planes. More advanced souls may travel in their mental bodies when they die, and reside on the Mental Plane. Of course they can also visit the Astral Plane. This can get very complicated expecially when trying to explain the attributes of each plane, so for now I'll leave it at this.

To answer your other question, you can induce an Astral Projection from a Lucid Dream if you can mimic in your dream, the actual movements of your Astral Body. When both movements coincide you may have a conscious projection. For example flying, and falling are the most common dreams signifying astral projection. If you can lucid dream, and then begin to fly, and if your astral body is at that moment producing the same movement. POP!! But just because you can fly in a lucid dream doesn't mean your astrally projecting.

Another technique I know of is when your lucid dreaming, to put yourself in an enclosed tank, and picture it filling with water. Imagine a tiny hole at the top of the tank. As the water begins to rise, imagine yourself squeezing through that hole. POP!! You've exteriorized!!

It always sounds easier I know...But if your good at Lucid Dreaming this would probably be easier and more effective withpractice than trying to induce a projection in the hypnagogic state.

Interesting... could you tell me more about these planes, because I am far above astral planes from what I've read. Do you know a good link where I could get info on this?

Thx... It might help me understand myself alot better!

Edit: What about breathing underwater, I once had a dream where I was drowning but then I could breate underwater. I think that would be astral projection.
Existance has no beggining nor end, but will always have purpose.

Would you say one who lucid dreams is more spiritual than one who does not. Does this mean that they will exist on a higher plane then one who does not luci dream? Just curious. Thanks for your explanation, this clears alot of my confusions.

I often dream about breathing underwater myself, and it is just then that i realize im dreaming, or that i've come in control of my AP. I LOVE the feeling of breathing underwater, it's just as good as flying in my opinion Unfortunately i sometimes get so excited that i wake up... i hate waking from lucid dreams and APs

Whether you can LD or astral project or have telekinetic powers doesn't necessarily have to do with the level of spirituality you've attained. It's much more complicated than that. You may have your 7th or crown chakra open wider than your lower chakras which would enable to use and be in touch with PSI abilities, but it's just as important to have your lower chakras opened and functioning correctly as well. A spiritually progressed individual would recognize this and work on balancing all chakras within the bodies. But even if you don't realize this, it doesn't mean your not spiritually evolved. You have to remember that it's about "remembering" or "awakening" to who and what you are. You may have been a "Master" in a last life. You just haven't awakened to your true divinity in this one. And remember it's not a competition. We need to help eachother along the way, if this world is going to change and become a better place. Humanity is in the process of evolving. By helping others, we help ourselves and the greater good of humanity.

For more info on the higher planes, and the seven spiritual initiations I would recommend reading the first three books found on this link.
      http://www.drjoshuadavidstone.com/jdsbooks.htm

I have not found a website yet that goes into this much depth on the topic. Basically the whole concept of this is considered "Ascension."
If you can only purchase one book, select A Beginner's Guide to the Path of Ascension. It's a little further down the page, and it's and introduction for people who may not be familiar with alot of metaphysical or New Age type concepts. If you are somewhat familiar, buy the first three listed at the top. The gentleman who wrote these is a very wise, and highly evolved individual. You'll read more about him within the books. Trust me, he's more than qualified.

      Hope this helps!

I am of the opinion that there are actually 12 major chakras: the traditionally agreed upon 7 plus 5 additional major chakras existing above the crown (outside of our third-dimensional bodies). While I think the traditional 7 chakras aid in becoming one with the earth, I think chakras 8 to 12 aid in becoming one with the universe (awareness is moved outward, away from your third dimensional self and center). Ah, but well that's a whole different conversation.
