Exclamation I want to share dreams, but i'm not sure how to.

It sounds cool and exciting. But i don't know how. And does dream sharing only work with local people, or with people all over?

Most people don't even believe in shared dreaming, so I doubt there is any definitive way to go about it as of yet. You'll have to scope around the forums for someone who's done it and talk to them.

Well, what do you want to know, for one, there are NUMEROUS tutorials on the subject, (Like this one: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=84165 )
If you want my personal method, thats a toughie to explain.

Generally I try to establish a meetingplace with someone, but that almost never works and we generally meet by some random twist of fate. Read the tut.

Ok, as for location, this is just my theory, but I think the moon works as a meeting place because it is so desolate. There is nothing there to distract you and redirect your dream elsewhere. I can't think of a better place to attempt a shared dream than the moon. Or perhaps a desert.

As far as isolating individuals for shared dreaming, interact with the person you want to have a shared dream with. Read their DJ and leave comments, send them PMs. Dreams reflect what you have your attention focused on, so weaving that person into your attention will work wonders. Again just a theory based on my understanding of how dreams work, but I've yet to hear any better suggestions.

I agree. I don't think a place like New York City would work well. A desolate place makes it easy.

Distance is not an issue. I am in Arizona and I share dreams with WakingNomad(Hawaii), MoSh(Canada), WarriorTiger(Arizona, I know her IWL), Mowglycdb(Chile), Walms(Mexico), Loaf(New Zealand)... You can meet up with people from all over the world! Once your recall is good, lucidity is very helpful for sharing dreams but not necessary, get to know the person you want to share with, select a place you can both easily visualize, and go for it! Compare dream journals the next day to see if you have a hit!

Is it generally a good idea, bad idea, or doesn't it matter at all to provide details of one's appearance to their prospective shared dreaming partner prior to attempting?

hi, indigoghost, love your animation. i live in n.i. so were on the same time zone, i find i lucid dream best in the morning when i have time to myself.
do you have a place that you would l.d. in more than most, for me it tends to be a beach (sorry i mean when your in the dream ). my last l.d was in a city, i always try and find street names when that happens but no luck last time. it was the first time ive heard someone talk to me though and she knew my waking name which freaked me so much i woke up. i think the dream share idea is really interesting, if enough members on same time zones could agree on sleep times and a shared image it might work. what do you think

I personally, after having a long enough lucid dream where I was able to test it it out, don't believe in dream sharing. I would like it to be possible but after my test, its doubtful it has ever occured.

hi lucid atmosphere, thats wild pessamistic, when were thinking of a non reality or a reality than cant be proven in a lab, is there anything that cant be possible. i have a feeling that anything that can be imagined can be possible, so i would bet a penny to a pound that before the week ends someone will be telling us about a dreamshare.

leo, don't get me wrong - I would really like this to be possible. And while it's doubtful to me - It could happen. That would lead to all types of possibilities. In a couple of weeks I will explain my experience with this in detail on my channel, since explaining it quickly wouldn't do it justice. But sure, if someone can do this and prove that they did it, you better believe I'll be trying to learn as well!

lucid, im new to all this so excuse me if im jumping the gun. what if we set up an experiment, agreed date and time and some sort of focus that would adapt to all of the participants cultures. basically something non offensive to anybody. when i l.d. i like it when i go to the beach. what if everybody at a set date and time tried tried to be on the beach, that sounds interesting to me !

I'm definitely open to giving it a try. It think everyone involved would need time to prepare (improved recall, and visiting the spot in their dreams) so we would have the best possible chance of achieving it. Sounds interesting.

I have been doing many hours of research, reading many books and papers on the theory of man and mind. I have come to believe in a new way i like to see humans and animals.

      Mind -> Consciousness -> Spirit -> Soul -> God.

Brain -> Switchboard -> Interface -> Connection from mind to the physical.

Body -> Senses -> Physical ability to interface with the world -> Experiences.

I am in no way saying this is correct, but this is the way i like to see things. I find that this way it will allow the possibility of shared dreaming and also its in an area of possibility where science is not able to study yet and we already have some clue of a mind ~ body separation, who is to say that in the future there will not be a brain ~ mind separation.

I like to hang out in my garden, its very pretty at night in my dreams, the sky is light purple and the clouds are a slightly darker shade of the same purple color, The moon is also huge and bright yellow. Its really fun to just fly around my house, for all i know the thing i am doing could be OBE since these dreams always start from my bed.
