    1. 17-02-08 Brussels Nuked, Monster Chase, More Nightmares, Driving

      by , 02-09-2017 at 07:01 AM
I was in a large high-rise with several others. Among them my former friends (Fenn & Barra). There was a large window overlooking the city, which was definitely Brussels. The atmosphere was tense. Something was happening, something "global". I said "they" would never go as far as nuking a certain military target (some 20 miles from the city). But then, a nuclear explosion occurred right in the center of the city. In that split second, I came to the horrible realization how wrong I was. The explosion was blinding and the fireball spread quickly, and I knew we were fucked. In that moment, I realized I was going to die. There was not enough time to think about it, not even enough time to get properly scared (only the onset of fear with a little bit of denial). I felt the intense heat from the blast almost scorching my face, and everything got really bright as the fireball arrived. But suddenly, it was gone. No fireball, no other people, nothing. I was still terrified, ran the other direction and jumped out of the window on the other side of the building (a smaller window). Not sure if it broke, or if I phased through it. I effortlessly flew away, and got out of there. After a while, I was flying over a wide road that no longer looked like Brussels. The weather was a lot sunnier than before, also. I made another stylish landing, and remembered what I'd seen. I had obviously been thrown back in time, somehow. I thought to myself that I should probably do something about it, and stop it from happening. After all, I had knowledge of the events, and I had this cool set of powers which kind of made me responsible. I think I suddenly 'knew' about all my other abilities, ones I had used in previous dreams but not in this one yet.

Nightmare time. I recall being in a building (just on floor, ground level) full of poorly-lit (and confusing) corridors with doors that all looked the same. Some kind of monster was loose. I could never get a proper look at it, but it was the stuff of nightmares. It didn't really have a shape of its own. It can best be compared with "The Thing", as it could also body-snatch victims. In one scene, it got very close as it attacked me and another person (or several). At this point, it was more or less an amorphous mass of grey "matter", but definitely biological (a bit like the Molded from Resident Evil 7). It made a leap for me, but I ducked away and it missed. It undoubtedly killed the other guy as I ran away through the corridors - terrified of course. I went through doors without knowing where they'd lead me. They all looked the same. I closed doors behind me, and locked them. It could bust through doors without a problem. I entered a bathroom, and for a moment I thought I'd run into a dead end. It would catch me for sure. But then I noticed a door I hadn't seen before... on the opposite side of the entrance. It lead to another wing of the building. I kept running, and came to the docks (!!). There was a person in the last room before I got outside (I think). I also found a box full of things I could use as weapon. Including a rusty Katana in a plain wooden sheath. I shrugged at the shitty quality of the blade, and took it anyway. I ran across the docks, an reached a ship. It looked like an old fishing boat. I managed to convince the crew and owner that we needed to leave right away. As they prepared to cast off, I kept an eye on the building. I *knew* the beast wasn't going to give up, and it was after me.

This nightmare took place on an island, I think. There was some kind of "infection" spreading. Not a simple disease, but something monstrous. I knew this dream was "the sequel" to the previous one. The whole atmosphere was terrifying. In the end, we'd made it to an airport, and had boarded a plane to escape. I looked out of the window as we were taxiing. The tarmac was covered in a kind of fleshy "red weed", which was taking over the whole island. But only we (me and the others from the group) could see it... no one else. It was playing mind tricks on us... In another scene, someone had died. One of my companions, an alien (humanoid, but not quite human), was angry at me because I hadn't paid my proper respects at his funeral. I was too shocked at the time, because his body was full of (and overgrown with) the horrific red weed. It was a repulsive sight. In the end, we had to do something to end the infection. It happened in a relatively small basement, and involved a bizarre puzzle on the wall involving foods (linking food to a certain category, also some math)...

I was driving car through city at night. But something just felt "wrong". Like, something evil was in the air. A general sense of dread that also filled the previous dream. Suddenly, my car didn't want to accelerate properly anymore, and it took effort on my part just to make it move. I pulled over. At some point I pull a cover off my car (like a sail people put over their cars to protect them from the winter cold). I drove off again, and noticed I'd forgotten to turn my lights on again. At a junction, I looked to my right and recognized a former classmate (Tim Botte) on the sidewalk. I think I was distracted and didn't realize the light had gone green. I made a right turn at the light (depite not being in the right section for that maneuver). What a boring ending!
    2. 17-02-04 Chased By Alien, Wax Factory

      by , 02-05-2017 at 07:37 PM
I was chased by an Alien (from the movie Alien), no doubt a result of playing "Alien: Isolation" a week ago. I remember running, together with other people, as it chased us through the countryside. I somehow remembered this happening before, as if I knew the plot of the dream before it had happened. I also remembered that it would chase me through a forest, and that we would then battle the beast in a sawmill of sorts. The final battle of the plot. I ran into the forest, and avoided the site of the sawmill. In another scene I fled from the beast in an industrial harbor, zigzagging between the legs of gigantic loading cranes. It was dark (night) and once again raining. Then we were in a supermarket, still being chased by the Alien. There were once again a few of us now. At one point I knew I could not escape, and the Alien would get me. I kind of "gave up" and turned around instead to face the beast. When it approached, I attacked it instead. I gave it a good whack in the head. Then, I had its head in my grip. I held its mouth (which looked more like a bird's beak than an Alien's mouth) with both hands to keep it from biting. As long as I could hold it like this, it was restrained. The other people showed up. One of them was a giant, who made it clear he would fight the beast to keep it distracted. We made a run for it. I ran out of the supermarket, back into the rainy night. I ran as fast as I could, towards two people who were just getting into their car. They turned out to be former colleagues. I pretty much begged them for a ride, and they agreed. They completely failed to see the reason for my panic. I tried telling them, but they just ignored my warnings... like stupid characters in a horror movie. I told them that if they saw something weird on the road ahead, to definitely NOT stop the car. I somehow knew I was in a horror movie, and I was afraid all the cliche tropes would actually happen. I was even afraid one of the men would turn out to be body-snatched by the monsters or something. While they drove away from the harbor (taking their time, much to my annoyance), one of them asked where my car was, and said he would never want to sit in a car like mine. I used to drive a crappy 1990 Opel Corsa (and clearly subconsciously feel insecure about that). We kept driving, and they kept talking. Much to my surprise, it looked like we were actually going to get away! I chose to end the dream there, as I was afraid that in the next chapter (!) the beast would show up again.

In the next dream, I was inside a wax factory. I think I worked there, in a pretty high function. I remember taking a bite from a honeycomb. There were other employees in the warehouse with me. Later in in the dream, I was in an office upstairs (overlooking the factory through a large window). Night had fallen, and the other employees had gone home. I was there alone. There was something I needed to do downstairs in the warehouse... but something felt wrong. I again "knew" I was in a horror story and this was going to be the first time I run into the monster (not the Alien this time). I do recall a monster from later in the dream, a beast that looked very different from the Alien, but still scary.
    3. 16-11-13 Aerial Chase, Lost in Forest

      by , 11-14-2016 at 02:26 AM
I'm flying, but I'm being chased by someone (or rather something). I think my pursuer was humanoid, but definitely some kind of monster. It got close. I turned around mid-air (while continuing flight in the same direction) and tossed something in its direction to distract it or slow it down. It got even closer. I managed to squeeze out a burst of acceleration and create some distance between me and it.

I recall a dark room or cellar. There was some kind of invisible (or barely visible) demon/entity in there. I was on a flight of stairs to a higher floor/ground level, backing away slowly.

This one is only fragments. People were cryogenically frozen in a freezer. This had strange effects on them. An old guy was turned into a dwarf or sorts... REDACTED was affected too.

I was lost in a big forest with a bunch of others. The trees were far apart, and there was plenty of light. It was possibly autumn. It's also possible we were only children (aged 10). I walked off to the right, and found a road. We followed it, but it was long, very long. It was possibly a coastal road, following the coastline. We went around a bend, and I could see many miles into the distance. The road stretched on and on, and there were snowy mountains on the other side of the road (the road was between the sea and the mountains). I thought it was pretty, but felt desperate because I was trying to find people. I didn't want to starve.
    4. 16-09-21 Defeating 'Thing', Survival Game

      by , 09-22-2016 at 01:10 AM
This dream started as a nightmare. A pretty terrifying one. There was a person in bed, in a dark bedroom. She (I think it was a girl) started "changing" into a horrific monster, like in "The Thing". I think it attacked me. Next thing I remember, we're in a supermarket, and the thing is attacking me. I gained courage somehow, and remember getting pretty savage. I think I poked its eyes out with my fingers, and shoved my hand in its maw (it had a humanoid head, but slimy grey skin and huge teeth). I didn't feel pain, despite obviously being bitten, and I didn't expect to feel it, either. A subconscious sliver of realization that this was a dream? I rammed the creature into a glass... what do you call it... the glass doors of a refrigerated cabinet where you have all the meat products and whatever are on display. Next thing I know, the "creature" is on the ground, defeated... and it turns out it's a girl on stilts, wearing a silly suit! She's crying, and people are rushing to help her. I think they blamed me, and said I hurt her.

I was in some kind of "survival game", played in an outdoor arena. There were ruins, bushes and some open spaces. It started with scavenging for weapons and gear, and then staying alive. I remember wearing body armor in one session, and a backpack in a later one (I suddenly felt my armor was now a backpack). I also had an intense standoff with a woman. She had a ponytail, and a pistol, and I had a pretty semi-automatic rifle. Not an AR-15, but longer and with a smaller magazine. We aimed at each other, kind of daring each other to shoot. She back away slowly, never letting me out of her sights. I wanted to kill her, by slowly pulling the trigger. I figured if I pulled it slowly enough, she wouldn't notice. The gun fired... but not really, because I had no ammo... luckily, she didn't notice it, and disappeared. I think I discarded the empty gun, and started scavenging some random parts to build a new gun.
    5. 16-08-19 Long-armed Monster

      by , 08-21-2016 at 02:40 AM
Terrifying nightmare. I was in the garden of our old house. It was dark. I saw silhouettes in distance (it's a pretty big garden). I had enough of being afraid, and charged in - loudly screaming. But I hesitated. I came up with the excuse that maybe it wasn't necessary. I ran away again, but my fears manifested a creature that chased my out of the garden, onto the street. I looked back, and to my terror it was still chasing, coming straight for me. It was humanoid, but with unnaturally long arms. Like Slenderman, but not as tall and far scarier because it moved fast. So fast. The moment it was about to "get" me, I woke up in sheer terror.
    6. 16-08-04 Elevators, Other Dimension

      by , 08-10-2016 at 03:32 AM
I recall a room, and seeing something, a creature or "presence" that scared me. I wanted to flee. There was an elevator in the room. I got in, and pressed a random floor number. The elevator moved, and stopped. The doors opened... revealing another elevator. The floor numbers were all weird and made no sense. The building must have had an impossible shape or height or them to make sense. I think I moved through several elevators before getting out. At some point, in the first elevator, there was a small statue (?) on the floor. I was "sucked into it" and it was revealed that the statue was a gateway to a hidden dimension....

    7. 16-07-11 Russia, Dog-Monsters, Escape From Lodge

      by , 07-13-2016 at 07:27 PM
I was in a very rural (and cold) region of Russia. There was tundra, and patches of snow and ice everywhere. I was in some kind of muddy, outdoor parking lot, located on the side of an even muddier trail. There were quite a few people there. Some guys (kids?) wanted to show me their motorcycles. I acted all interested, and got on one of them. They were still enthusiastic, but careful - and told me not to do anything. Before they knew what was happening, I had started the bike and raced away from there. I felt like I had "a job to do", and I needed this vehicle to do it. I rode a twisty asphalt roads for a bit, until I knew I wasn't being followed. Then, I turned around and rode back - back onto the muddy road next to the lot. There was a lot of police and bystanders on the lot after my theft. I turned off the engine and "pedaled" instead, as if it was a part bicycle, part motorcycle. This was, I managed to quietly ride past them, and escape. During the ride, I noticed it had been a long time since I had ridden a bike (5 years in real life, I stopped after a crash) - but it went well, and the bike had a surprising amount of grip despite the mud, snow and ice.

Me and a partner entered a dilapidated building, a kind of giant warehouse. We were there to kill two monstrous dog-like monsters and save two women who were being attacked by the beasts. The beats were probably based on Woola, the 'dog' from "John Carter", a movie I watched the day before. The beasts created some kind of 'portals' high up on the walls. They would drag their prey up, and inside he portal, where they would be consumed. Anyway, we both had suppressed pistols. My partner engaged one of the creatures on the far side of the warehouse. Suddenly, I had a machine gun instead. I encountered the other creature in the corridor right before entering the actual warehouse. I shot and killed it with the MG. I realized the the girl, who looked like Lara Croft from the Tomb Raider reboots, was safe for now - despite hanging from one of the portals below the waist. I decided to go help my partner instead.

I went with my grandfather to a dark place, presumably up north. There were long nights and very short days, just a few hours that felt like minutes. In no time, I wanted to go back, but I knew I needed plane ticket.

I needed to flee a house/lodge/shack on a hill. The environment was once again cold, and possibly snowy. There was a short way down, but I "failed" (it was like a quick-time event in games), and came down a little further. I was forced to climb over several wooden structures/obstacles to reach the helicopter (?) for extraction, before the whole place blew up.

I only remember an area by the water, probably the docks. I remember swimming, and a dressing area for women that I was sure wasn't there before.
    8. 16-07-05 Conspiracies

      by , 07-08-2016 at 04:32 AM
I was outside an ancient structure/temple at night. I had played Tomb Raider Anniversary before I went to bed. There was a square pit, and someone tossed a match in it. The pit caught fire immediately, as if it was filled with gasoline. I saw a strange round shape over a dune (the environment looked barren, desert-like, dunes and all), and told the other guy I would go and investigate. When I got to see the whole thing (it looked like... something I forgot), I knew it was part of the "set". Then, the round shape became a giant clock face on the side of a large clock tower. I went inside. The lobby looked really modern, more a hotel/company HQ than anything else. A woman at reception spoke to me. She spoke of a conspiracy involving many corporations and governments.

I was in a tunnel, which was completely submerged with water. I had to swim, of course, but don't recall having to breathe. It all felt like I was playing a game rather than experiencing it myself. I took a detour to avoid a certain section of tunnel in which I knew monster was lurking. I had to go "AFK", and decided to park my character on the other side of the tunnel. It felt creepy to be so close to where I knew the monster was, but I knew that in a game, NPC's don't move unless provoked. Later, I found myself in a school environment. I think I was in the wrong classroom or something? I don't remember much of this segment. It's possible there was another reference to the "conspiracy".

In the last one, I was was Samuel L. Jackson, who was a police captain from the Midtown Precinct of Manhattan - and, might I say, a total badass. We were in a very poor and dilapidated (not to mention dangerous) area further north on the peninsula. We busted through a gate, and Sam blasted several confused bad guys with his shotgun. We had the element of surprise. We fought across a courtyard, through a passage between low-rise buildings. We busted into one of the structures, shooting (I think) a scientist in a lab coat. He wasn't dead, and sat up against a wall, scared and/or wounded. The guy was an evil henchman, that much I knew. I wanted to interrogate him. Knowing we had him (and he had nothing to lose), he played ball. He spoke of a terrifying conspiracy that would shake the very foundations of the world if it ever came out.
