The Dark Tower – The Third Drawing

I am on beach. It is just about dark. The ocean extends out west, and I can see where the sun has just sent. There are a couple people not too far for me. They are both near a door that looks like it leads nowhere. A man is standing next to the door, and a woman is sitting in wheelchair. I look around a bit more and I see there’s another man standing closer to me. I recognize the man standing close to me. That is MoSh. He looks at me and then looks over at the door. I am pretty sure I know who those people are. Eddie Dean, and either Detta or Odetta. MoSh and I walk over towards the door. Before we quite get there, I hear a voice coming through the door. The voice is telling Detta Walker to look through the door. The voice is also telling Odetta Homes to look through the door. And the next instant there are more people there.

I hadn’t noticed Roland’s body on the ground by the door, but now he is trying to get up. He does not seem well. And now there are also two women. Apparently Detta Walker and Odetta Holmes are now separate people. They’re fighting each other. They have to become one in order for the two of them to survive. But there are still more people there. I do not know who these others are. They are cloaked figures, and they are all in black. I’m not even sure if they have faces, because all I see under their hoods is blackness and glowing blue eyes. Mosh says no one invited them to the party. I say we should show them what happened party crashers then. One of them goes right over to Roland and told him to hand ‘it’ over. I am wondering what ‘it’ is. He doesn’t live very long, MoSh blows him away. That is the first time they noticed that we were even there. One of the cloaked figures is snarling at us, and says we should keep our abnormally large noses out of other people’s business. I tell him that ugly gits like him are our business. A gun fight ensues.

There are some rocks and other things in the area, and those are good places to take cover. But apparently MoSh and I also have Witchblades, and those form into a powerful armor. While the fight is going on between us and the strange figures, Detta and Odetta have switched from fighting to hugging. That is a good sign. That means they’re almost done. I see the one must be Odetta whisper something into Detta’s ear. I don’t hear her, but I remember what she said in the book. She said I love you. Two women seem to blur for a bit as the fuse into one. I see that one of the figures is standing over Roland now. Seems to be looking for something. I don’t want it to find what it’s looking for. I think that would be very bad. Detta and Odetta are in the way for getting a clear shot. So instead I send an Alex Mosher type tendril into the ground. It goes under Detta and Odetta, and then comes up right next to Roland and pierces the figure standing over him. The cloaked figures are clearly pissed off. But now they also have Susanna to deal with. Data and Odetta has become one now, and she’s got a gun. So does Eddie. He has also joined into the fight. The figures will not have another chance to get near Roland. They are angry, but they disappear in clouds of dark.

MoSh and I go over to where the others are. The door has closed, and our falls over in the sand and seems to become nothing more than a large piece of driftwood. I see Susanna, who is the merger of Detta and Odetta, hug Eddie. And then she hugs Roland. She says it’s thanks to them that she can be whole again. And that hasn’t been the case since she got hit on the head by a brick as a little girl. But that seems to be about the last bit of energy that Roland has, and he passes into unconsciousness. I focus some healing energy through him, but I guess the more important things are the pills that Roland brought back with him. Those will take care of the poison. Eddie gives him his first pill, though he was barely conscious enough to swallow it. March is asking who those weird figures are the keep showing up. I tell him I don’t have a clue yet. But they are really annoying. They aren’t supposed to be here. I want to ask Roland what he has that they might want, but that’s clearly going to have to wait until he recovers. It is here that I seem to wake up.

This part of the dream was strange. It didn’t seem connected to the rest, and still it did. In this segment of dream, I felt like I was inside of Detta or Odetta, I’m not sure which. I hear gunshots around me, as if gun fight was currently going on. I hear someone call to me. The voice calls to me to look through the door. I looked over through the door, and I find that I’m staring at another version of me somehow. I am hearing a song in my head. “I face myself, to cross out what I’ve become. Erase myself, and let go of what I’ve done.” This is a song by Linkin Park. I know it well. I am reaching out to embrace myself when I wake up for real this time.

2017, 10-11

The Dark Tower – The Great Race

I am on a beach. I look around see if I can figure out how I got here. I see that there is a man nearby. There is also a woman in a wheelchair. They seem to be having an argument. I go closer to see if that might be why I’m here. I recognize the people. The man is Eddie, from the Dark Tower series. The woman must be Detta or Odetta. As I get closer I can tell she’s the nice one. She is not using long strings of shouted expletives. She and Eddie are arguing about whether or not he should leave a gun with her. She says that Roland will be angry. Eddie says he’s not leaving her without a way to defend herself. When I get a little closer Eddie turns and sees me. He asks if I can talk some sense into this woman? He seems to know me. I tell him that I can do better than that. I can go do whatever it is he needs to do, and he can stay with Odetta. He says he has to take the wheelchair back to get Roland. He points at a door that is standing on its own. I she words on the door, the pusher. I tell Eddie and Odetta that I will take the wheelchair back and get Roland. Eddie asks if I’m sure I can do that? He says that Roland and will be hard to push in the wheelchair. He is thinking I will be weak because I’m a girl! I give him a dirty look. I told him that I could carry Roland over my shoulder the whole way. But that wouldn’t be very comfortable for him. Eddie agrees finally and says for me to go ahead.

For the next part of the dream I am running down the beach pushing a wheelchair. I really like the fact that I don’t seem to be getting tired. It’s completely unlike how things are when I’m in the waking world. I have to go around some rocks and other obstacles on the beach, so that slows me down some. But it doesn’t slow me down much, and before I think it is possible I find Roland. Roland appears to be either unconscious or sleeping. I go over closer to him and he seems to wake up a bit. He looks up at me, he looks quite confused. He says my name, Raven, but seems unsure as to if I am real. I tell him that Eddie stayed with Odetta while I came to get him. He says that he will need to be pushed in the wheelchair, he’s not strong enough to walk. I am wondering why my healing attempt haven’t really work on him. I’m thinking maybe it is because of poison rather than just a physical injury. That can make a difference. Roland gets to his feet with much effort, and he sits down in the wheelchair. I focus some healing energy into him just to be sure he doesn’t die on the way. He seems to perk up a bit, but not enough to let him walk. He asks if I’m sure I can handle this? I tell him this will not be a problem. I get behind the wheel chair and try to push. I am actually surprised by how much harder it is to do, but that is just because I wasn’t prepared. I start pushing forward at a good rate.

I pick up speed as I am pushing Roland in his wheelchair down the beach. It is going faster and faster. A couple of times I have to make sudden adjustments to keep from running into one of the obstacles on the beach. There are rocks, Driftwood, and the hardest ones to see our places where soft sand has collected. But I managed to keep going at a quicker rate without getting in any wrecks. Once again the trip seems to go by very quickly. And once again I am liking the fact that I don’t seem to get tired. I wish I could just live all the time in the dream state. Soon we reached door. I see the door there, but I see no sign of either any or Odessa. I wonder where they could’ve gone. Roland is not in good shape, and I know he needs to go through the door to get medicine. I tell him that I will look for Eddie and Odetta. Roland says that he had intended to take Addy with him this time. I am wondering how that would work. Three people in one body? But that doesn’t really matter. Roland says Eddie still has one of his guns. He says hopefully he will not need to use it. Then he hands me the other gun. He says that when he goes through the door his body will be lifeless on the ground here. He says at that point, if the other has come back, she will be able to take the weapon with ease. I don’t need to ask the other is, I know he is talking about Debra walker. So Roland goes over to the door and manage just open it. I can see through the door, it is looking onto a busy sidewalk. I’m not sure what is going on there. Roland goes through the door, then his body collapses outside.

I start looking around now. I start calling out Eddie. I also call out Odetta. I call out Eddie and say that if the other has returned, don’t forget the song. You can bring her back. You can bring Odetta back. I continue looking for a while, and I am about to give up. I have no idea where they could’ve gone. Especially when Odetta doesn’t have her wheelchair. Hi come around a quarter in the rocks, and I stop when I hear a nasty sounding voice. It is a woman’s voice, and she tells me to stop right there. Stop right there, you home bitch. It is definitely not Odetta. I turned around to see her. She has a gun pointed at me. I am not worried about the gun. I am worried about Eddie. I ask her where it is? She says he’s around. She tells me to drop the gun Roland gave me. I told her I’m not going to do that. She says then she’ll blow my brains out. I tell her she won’t be doing it with that gun. I tell her there’s nothing she can do to hurt me, so I am certainly not worried. I ask her again where Eddie is. She says he’s just enjoying the beach. That doesn’t sound good. So I look around for Eddie some more, and I find that he is on the beach. Below the high tide marker. And somehow he’s gotten all tied up. I wonder how that’s even possible considering that he had the gun and data has no legs. I am figuring he must’ve fallen asleep, just like in the books.

Detta seems to move surprisingly fast with no legs. I hear her calling to me that I had better leave him be or she will shoot me. I’m still not worried about that. So I go down to where Eddie is tied up, and I start working on removing the ropes. Data is pretty close behind me, and I can see that Eddie is trying to warn me that fact. Detta points her gun at me. She pulls the trigger. She gets a resounding click. I get Eddie the rest of the way untied, and Detta tries to shoot me again. She gets another click for her efforts. I have Eddie completely untied now. I tell him to stay behind me while we go back and take care of Detta. I tell him that her gun can’t hurt me, but it can still hurt him. I walked right up to Detta. She tries to shoot me again, this time the gun fires. There is a loud bang that actually startles me. But the bullet seems to bounce off of my body. It might have something to do with the Mercer virus. Detta is staring in stunned silence now. So is Eddie. I take the gun away from the stunned Detta. I tell Eddie he can go back to using the song now. He needs to use the song to bring back Odetta. He doesn’t need my help for that. He goes over in front of Detta and uses the song, My Last Breath by Evanescence, and I can see when Detta changes back into Odetta. So at least for now things are safe. That is a good thing, because it is also now that I wake up.

2017, 10-05

The Dark Tower – Hold On to Me, Odetta

I am on a beach and it is near dark. I look around to see where I might be and I see that I am not alone here. I see three people not far away. Two men and a woman in a wheelchair. I wouldn’t have had to look to notice the woman, however, she is screaming expletives at the top of her lungs and laughing in a wild cackle. I recognize the two men when I get a little closer, it’s Roland and Eddy from the Dark Tower series. Both of them look exhausted. There is a black woman in the wheelchair, so that must be Odetta Holmes / Detta Walker… and I can immediately tell which one is in control right now. Not the lady, but the bitch. As I walk closer Roland spots me first, then Eddy, but I am quite a bit closer before Detta notices me. When she sees me she goes silent for a brief moment, then loudly announces that Roland and Eddy won’t have to suck each other’s little white candles anymore, now there’s a honky bitch here to do that for them… of course unless they prefer each other… She says she’s sure I’ll spread my legs for them!

I ignore Detta completely as she continues ranting and raving, cackling at her own bad jokes. I have a mission here, and I go over towards Eddy. I’ve forgotten that this Eddy has never met me before, so to him I’m a stranger. Roland introduces us. I tell Roland and Eddy that I have a technique that will help them deal with Detta more easily. Upon hearing her name Detta falls silent and then starts telling us not to be talking about her, so now the honky bitch wants in on the fun? I still ignore her and move a bit farther away. I tell Eddy that I know he’s already in love with Odetta Holmes, and that will help a lot. I tell him I don’t have a lot of time here, but if he will let me sort of merge with him I can show him how he can reliably cause Detta Walker to back off and Odetta Holmes to come forward at any time he needs to. He seems hesitant, so I say it works the same as when Roland was in his head. He seems hesitant still, he asks if Odetta will really come back… I say she will. He finally agrees.

I wonder how I’m going to manage this fusion with Eddy, but it works easily. I become transparent and just step into him. As one, we walk over to Detta. She’s acting scared, telling us to keep our honky hoodoo away from her. I have a song to use, My Last Breath by Evanescence, so I ignore Detta’s ranting and use it through Eddy. “Hold on to me, love. You know I can't stay long. All I wanted to say was, I love you and I'm not afraid.” Detta says she doesn’t want to be serenaded by no honky mofo bitch! I continue. “Can you hear me? Can you feel me in your heart? Holding my last breath, safe inside myself, are all my thoughts of you. Sweet rapture of light, it ends here tonight. Amidst the winter, a world of precious things.” Detta tries again to interrupt, she says she broke the blue for-special plate and it’s gone forever. I ignore that. “Look for me in the white forest, hiding in a hollow tree (come find me).” Detta says she’s going to hunt us down and we’d better stay in that tree or else… she trails off and rubs her head, her eyes are watering or she’s crying. “I know you hear me, I can see it in your tears. Closing your eyes to disappear, you pray your dreams won’t leave you here. But now you wake and know the truth, I’m still here…”

By this point I can see Odetta coming out, it’s time for Detta to go to sleep until at a later time she can be reintegrated with Odetta and the woman can be whole at last. “Say goodnight, don't be afraid. Only together we can face the night. (Say goodnight) Holding my last breath, (Don't be afraid) safe inside myself. (Calling you, calling you) Are all my thoughts of you. Sweet rapture of light, it ends here tonight.” As I / Eddy finish the last notes of the song I see that Detta / Odetta is looking confused, like she’s not sure how she even came to be here. Detta Walker has gone to sleep, Odetta Holmes has taken control. I tell Eddy that he only needs to use the song again if Detta comes back. It won’t do any harm to Detta, for she is merely another aspect of Odetta and the two must eventually become one if this woman is to survive and be healthy. Just remember the song and Detta Walker will not be able to cause any more trouble. Before I can figure out how to separate from Eddy I wake up.

Detta Walker's Rage
I am in my Fire Valkyrie heading for the moon. I land on the moon and get out, waiting for the dream to stabilize before deciding to aim for a Dark Tower dream this time. I focus on opening a portal. But a portal doesn't open. Instead a door appears. Well, that is consistent with the Dark Tower series… So I open the door and go through to the other side. I find I am on a beach. The beach seems to stretch out indefinitely in both directions with some hills on the one side and an endless ocean on the other. I walk along the beach with the ocean to my left. The first thing I hear other than the waves is a stream of expletives. Wtf? I follow the sound of a woman cursing a blue streak… I find Roland, Eddie, and a woman who could only be Detta Walker. She is cursing fluently at Roland and Eddie, calling them pathetic honkey mo-fos and saying she will bit off their dicks and feed them to each other… Roland and Eddie see me approaching and watch me warily. Eddie seems happy to see another person, Roland seems a bit more hesitant. When they look over at me so does Detta, and she immediately includes me in her abuse. She says for me to come join the party, those two honkey mo-fos are about to have their way with her but she's going to bite off their little white candles and then I can eat both of them, she calls me a fucking honkey hoe. She clearly would like to be accompanying her rant with rude gestures but she is tied to a wheelchair. She pauses and then continues her rant, now she is asking how many honkey mo-fos did they call in to handle one black woman… does it really take that many? Maybe some of them don't even have little white candles, but rather they just have a hole where their little white candles should be… gaping holes leading to the bowels of hell itself… She asks which of them (looking at me) have little white candles and which of them have the holes to stick 'em in. I wonder who she is talking to and I look behind me. There are five men back there, all of them white to Detta's disgust, all of them Templars to my own disgust. Detta asks if I do all five of them at once, I tell her I'd sooner kill myself than let a fucking Templar touch me… She now starts calling them honkey Templar mo-fo pieces of shit. I can't help but laugh. She calls me a hoe again and asks what is so funny, does it tickle to have their little white candles up inside of me? I tell her I don't let Templar bastards touch me. She asks if they're bastards, too? Of course! Their mammas must be so ugly a pig wouldn't do her… their daddies must have been flat drunk for them to even be conceived… then she calls them honkey bastard Templar mo-fos. I notice the Templars are actually being silent. I comment that Detta managed to stun Templars to silence… I like her. She asks if I'm going to lick her cunt… because it has teeth and will bite my face off when I try. One of the Templars finally says I stole something from them and they want it back. Detta asks if the honkey mo-fo Templar bastards lost their fer-special to some honkey hoe. She said I should break it. Then use it to cut off their little white candles. She cackles madly. I have had enough of her cursing. Roland and Eddie seem to be ignoring it and waiting for a chance to speak. Roland finally asks if I am the Raven… then who are those other people. I tell him they aren't with me. Detta identifies them as honkey mo-fo bastard fucking Templars with their main fuck, who is obviously me. I want to calm Detta. I use a song spell to calm her down, or I am about to when the Templars get violent. Roland cuts them down with his guns, though is clearly not happy about using the ammo. I tell him I can help with ammo supplies… and with Detta, who is cackling about how Roland blew the honkey mo-fos can all kill each other. I focus on the song Voices from the Macross Plus soundtrack and manage to soothe Detta. She falls asleep. Probably she will shift back to O'Detta Holmes. I look at one of the bullets from Roland's revolver and use my Pentacle to create more, enough to fill his ammo belts. He asks what manner of magic I used to create those… I am more focused on getting MoSh into the dream. I focus on opening a portal, hoping it isn't too late. Unfortunately it is… everything fades as I wake up.
