    1. LD Note

by , 07-08-2011 at 02:58 AM (The Dream Magic Experiment)
It seems my dreams have been getting shorter since I tried waking up after 4.5 hours to record dream, which I've been failing to do so lately because of stress. I just go back directly to sleep when the alarm goes off. Then I wake up 1.5 hours later, and supposedly to do awareness exercises, and then go back to sleep for WILD. So far, the results are less lucid, short dreams.

But then, I read that WILD is supposed to be challenging. I feel demoralized by it though.

    2. Night of 07/07 - A journey which almost went wrong

by , 07-07-2011 at 09:43 AM (Grischkaja's world of dreams and mysteries)
      Hours of sleep: 9.5
      Vividness: 3/5
      Recall: 4/5

Numbers of dreams: Yet again, was a productive night. 6 dreams, each connected to another one

      1. I don't see really clear, I see just the table where I am sitting to. It appears that I'm in a bar. In front of me sits Micheal and another friend, but I cannot remember who it was. We are planing a trip to Holland and we don't find a way to get a common decision. Another friend sits down and he says that he cannot participate to our journey. I leave this place after a few minutes or so, because I want to go home. Outsides it's dark already.

      2. I'm driving with my car home. It's night. Next to me sits my brother. We are talking about some stuff. I don't realize that the traffic light went red and I drive through it. I'm angry and blame my brother for it, because of his talking I couldn't concentrate. In the back mirror I see, that there is a police car. I get even more angry. But it appears that he didn't saw it.

      3. It's day and I'm near my home town somewhere on a field. There are a lot of people there. I think that I'm on a journey or something like that. I ride a bike and I'm heavily equipped with bags and such stuff. We want to go on the top of the hill. I ride my bike and I'm not really moving fast, I'm exhausted and I start feeling pain in my legs. But suddenly, we are at the top. There are a few mini-rails and we start plying with toytrains

I awake, do a reality-check. I'm really awake and look at my alarm clock; it's already 5 am. I am a bit angry that I couldn't recall much about the previous dreams. I tried to remember but I couldn't. I went a bit disappointed back to sleep.

      4. It's really free in the morning, it's a bit chilly outsides. I stand on a long road, on one side there is a forest and on the other side, there are fields. At the left near the feels, there are a few cars parking. I'm looking for my car to leave, because something tells me, that I'm going home from some party. After a minute or so I find a car and open it with my key. I realize that it's a Mini Cooper and this isn't my car. I wonder why the doors opened with my key. I realize that this model doesn't even have a key-slot but it's opened via a remote. But I'm just thinking: hey it's an awesome car, why just use it?I get in, just to sit at the drivers seat. I don't want to drive it, but it starts driving slowly from itself. I push the break but it doesn't stop and drives into a nearby town. I finally manage to stop and I get out of my new car.
Suddenly Nathalie appears and ask me if everything is okay. I tell her, that I have problems with "my" car and I want to drive back. She offers her help, I get on the passenger seat and she takes the drivers seat and drives back. The way back seems to be more long. She starts talking about her life, how good everything went and such a stuff. I'm a bit confused. In addition it seems that Nathalie looks much more amazing than she already looks like, that confuses me even more. Every time she talks about a subject from her awesome life, the surroundings in the car are changing to take form of the current subject. For example as she speaks about her boyfriend, the car changes into a field with flowers and a man appears who gives her kisses.
I think that it's in my imagination, but I get scared a bit, so I simply go out of the car. It appears that the car is back at his place, but there are a lot of other cars there. I get into my real car and drive away. In the meantime I see two friends of mine riding on a bike. I realize that they are the owner of the car and that they are now driving home, cause they didn't have their car.

      5. I'm at a place that looks similar. A few friends are there and we are relaxing in chairs. We also have a barbecue. On of the girls says that she has to leave and we should pay attention on her laptop, which lays on her seat.
After a few minutes or so, a few teenagers walk past. One of them takes the chair with the laptop and leaves the chair there. A friend reminds me of the laptop. I stand up and run towards him, he starts running too. I cross the street, get nearly hit by a car and finally match to capture him. I'm really angry:
      - You little dick-sucking bastard! What do you have in your brain? Give me this laptop back.
      - But I don't have it sir!

He drops it and it lands on the ground.
      - Here you have mister!
Me: Pick it up you bastard!

As he leans to the ground, I give him a kick in his ass and he falls to the ground. I take the laptop with me and give it back to my friend, who was already waiting.

      6. all my closest friend are together and we go to an journey through a city. It's a strange mix of Luxembourg-city, Paris, and all other place I've bee. There are mountains, there are a lot of houses with narrow streets, there is a river, in the background there are a few mountains. We first get into a oat to drive to the city. The boat is really narrow. When we finally arrived, there were a few strange American tourist. They were speaking in English. They ask us if we visited a place called the academy, a lot where referring to a castle or something like that. We were a bit confused but we left them alone.
We are now in front of some city walls, there are a few towers. We are a bit lost, cause the place seems to be Luxembourg-city but the streets are different, there were houses which we could simply enter, everywhere were a lot of people.
In the meantime, it seems that someone is sitting on my shoulders. It's a girl on our age and it seems that she's drunk and isn't able to walk any more. We enter in a house or a hallway, I let her off and she walks towards a bathroom. There is a woman who says that she's drunk. I ask her which way we should take and she gives us some directions. The girl gets back and she seems to be fully conscious and not more drunk.
We take the way, walk through narrow streets. It gets dark, outsides are a lot of people partying outsides.

      I awake.

      Note: Work on awareness!!!!
    3. Dancing with the wolves, Dragon at Stonehenge

      by
      Hyu
      , 07-05-2011 at 04:10 PM (Hyu's Adventures)
I've averaged about 5 hours of sleep the past few weeks which is obviously not very good for lucid dreaming, and I kind of stopped trying because it felt like a hopeless endeavor until I have more time.
I still occasionally try to WILD during naps, which works sometimes, but nap dreams are always quite short.
This is the first day where I could sleep for as long as I wanted in a long time.
I went to bed wishing for a nice lucid.

      1. I'm at Uni. Someone tells me that they have seen wolves around here at night.
They suggest that I close my windows at night because apparently wolves come and kill you in your sleep if you leave them open.
I don't really believe any of it though.

        __
      2. I wake up in my bed and I am startled by a bright wolf right next to me.
I check my windows. Yep, they're open, but why? I never leave them open.
I quickly notice that the wolf isn't hostile at all, in fact he looks kind of cute.
I pet him and he's clearly enjoying it...

        __
      3. Dancing with the wolves
I wake up again. Well, that's not right, how can I wake up twice in a row?
Oh. I'm dreaming, of course! How exciting! It's been some time since my last DILD.
I immediately start contemplating doing all kinds of things when I notice that the dream is about to fall apart.
I feel the buzzing vibrations all over my skin and my vision is fading to black. Shit!

My first reflex is to spin wildly, even though I usually try to DEILD in these situations.
Lucky for me, the spinning stabilizes the dream and the vibrations stop.
That was close. I try to remain calm and take a walk in my apartment trying to get my emotions under control.
I end up next to my bathroom and I hear someone singing in my bathroom.

It's a female voice humming a melody. I can also hear water drops.
Is someone in my bathtub? I walk inside my bathroom and I find Olivia Wilde in my bathtub.
This is a huge surprise. Fortunately I've calmed down and I'm able to control myself and keep the dream stable.
She's wearing clothes in the bathtub for some reason. Blue jeans and a grey shirt.

        "Why don't you join me?"

The bathtub is wider than in waking life, there's easily enough place for the both of us.
Why not? I enter the bathtub. The water feels nice and warm.

"So, what is Olivia Wilde doing in my bathtub?"
"Why don't you ask your subconscious?"

Clearly a reference to this dream: Experimenting with Dream Control - Creating Worlds & Meeting Olivia Wilde

"Am I not technically asking my subconscious already?"
        "Haha, you're good."

I wonder where this is going.
Suddenly Olivia imitates the howling of a wolf.

        "Okay?"
"I want to run. I want to run aimlessly through the forest and enjoy this wonderful night."
        "Will you come with me?"

        "Sure"

She stares deeply into my eyes.
I can see the reflection in her eyes changing, it looks very interesting and she has very beautiful eyes.
Suddenly I can feel the air brushing over my skin.
We're outside now, in front of a forest I do not know.
I understand that she just teleported the both of us here.

It's the middle of the night, but everything is lit rather well by the full moon, which is bigger than usual.
The lighting gives everything a rather mysterious but beautiful look.

        "Let's run!"

Olivia turns into a big wolf right in front of me.

It's bigger than a wolf in waking life, but that doesn't prevent it from looking absolutely adorable.
        She howls again, very loudly.
Then she takes off into the forest. After a few meters she stops and looks at me.
        She's waiting for me.

I feel like I'm supposed to turn into a wolf, and even though I know that I suck horribly at transforming into other beings, I give it a try.
And oddly enough, it works perfectly.
As soon as I have transformed myself into a white wolf, I can feel the urge to run through the forest.
I howl loudly before entering the forest, and Olivia mimics it.

We're running through the forest as fast as we can. We're ridiculously fast, I'm guessing that we're going about 100km/h.
It's quite hard navigating the forest at these speeds, but oh my god, it feels SO GOOD.
I can feel every single hair in my fur moving with the wind and I can see so clearly in the dark with my wolves eyes.
This must be what WakingNomad feels like all the time.
It's such a wonderful feeling to experience the world as a different being.

We stop on a high hill where we can overlook the whole forest and we howl into the night.

        __
      4. Dragon at Stonehenge
I open my eyes and quickly realize that I am waking up.
I try to avoid moving in order to DEILD.
Even though I have moved a bit, I'm still confident that I can enter a dream.
I feel a sort of "click", like something has changed.
For some reason I look to my left, even though there's nothing of interest there in my room in waking life.

Olivia is lying right in front of me, our bodies are nearly touching.
This startles me, I totally wasn't expecting this and my vision instantly blacks out.

But then I feel myself falling and I hit the ground.
I'm in the middle of the city.
I get up and notice that everyone is looking at me.
Right, I'm wearing nothing but shorts.

        "Move along."

Everyone starts going back to their normal business.
Haha, DCs are so easy to manipulate.
I summon my dragon wings and take off into the sky.
I pick a direction and fly towards is as fast as I can just a few meters over the ground.

        "Faster, FASTER!!!"

I can feel the shock of breaking the sound barrier, and suddenly everything feels sort of calm.
Except for the pressure on my skin which becomes greater the faster I go.
I'm not really sure what I'm doing, but this feels great.
I haven't flown for too long, I missed it.

Mid-flight I decide I want to teleport to Teraluna.
But I can't summon my phoenix wings whilst I have my dragon wings out... or something?
I simply unsummon my dragon wings and then attempt to teleport which works.

SHIT! I'm still going just as fast as before.
My feat touch the ground and I try to break as hard as I can by quickly spreading my wings again.
I'm sliding over Yuya's terrace at abnormal speeds, and I manage to stop just centimeters before hitting something.

"Quite a dramatic entrance, I'll give you that."
        "Yuya!"

I give her a big hug.

        "You're in a good mood!"
        "Of course I am!"

I notice I still have my dragon wings out.

"I will turn into a dragon!"
        "Okay?"
"I turned into a wolf before, I can do it!"
"Of course you can. Hey, let's go fly together!"

Yuya opens a portal hovering over the ground.
We both jump in. I come out on the other side transformed into a dragon.
This is earth! We're just above the clouds.
Yuya comes out of the portal, she has many watery wings, they look beautiful.
We both dive through the clouds, flying straight down to catch speed and break off the free fall just before hitting the ground.
We fly over open fields and I occasionally roar deeply to make it known that a dragon is flying in the skies.

We slow down when I see a familiar object.

Stonehenge! I don't think I've ever been here before.
We land on one of the pillars, there doesn't seem to be anyone else here.
For some reason I have to think of WakingNomad. I remember reading that he's been here a few times.
It feels appropriate to let him know that I was here, so I roar as loudly as I can up into the sky.

I put so much pressure into roaring that I am accidentally spitting quite a bit of fire.
The sound is deep and so loud it causes the ground to vibrate.
As I stop I see that flames are still travelling towards the clouds.
        I think I overdid it "a bit".
        I look at Yuya.

        "Oops?"

We both start laughing and I loose my transformation and fall off the pillar to the ground back in human form.
Yuya drops to the ground right next to me, she probably lost her balance as well.
We keep laughing like little children. Life is good.
    4. rocky first MILD attempt, constructing a huge building

      by , 07-05-2011 at 11:08 AM
03-07-11 Testing out MILD for the first time produced an interesting result. I used the mantra “question reality – become aware”. After a while the mantra did start popping up fairly automatic. I am dreaming and I am continuously shifting between a scenario in the university campus I just took an evening walk in and a Diablo themed setting, from the catacombs with Diablo actually there. In the dream I am walking along a pathway paying attention to the foliage on the side. It is dark throughout the dreams. I think I may be lucid at certain times, but it is for very brief moments and I have limited recall of them.

The mantra keeps sounding in my head and I think I may be verbalising it as well. the first time I notice I am drifting in and out of sleep is when I am walking on the side of the road, after I hear the mantra I start checking, but the dream fades to “hypnagoic imagery” with the difference that I have no bodily perceptions and the background theme is a lot brighter than when I normally observe these images, still I am convinced that I am falling asleep and not dreaming. A common theme for these images would be the appearance of Diablo in the catacombs with me living the character actually being there, though sort of a birds eye perspective. When this happens I keep repeating the mantra and I would “wake up” back in the university park somewhere. I am stupid enough to believe that it was the place I was attempting to fall asleep.

This happens maybe 3-4 times and on the last time waking up in the university park I am naked or partially naked at least, I am wearing yellow boxers. I take routes that carry me over the grass I am trying to get somewhere home(ish). I run into a person I know from back home, he is passing by on a bike with one of his mates and I tell them not to pay attention to me. I am starting to get a feel for where I am headed and I have a remote in my hand that will teleport me to the nearest street light or something similar. When I get close to one the light of it flickers and I click the remote to sure enough pop over there.

I start walking across a path until I get to a point where I can see that my Mother's sister and her husband is packing up the car. Oh that is right they said they would be leaving soon. I briefly mention to them “so you are leaving now are you” don't know if I get a response or not, but the dream goes on. I am now talking to my grandparents who are sat outside a tent. My grandmother is picking on me saying something like “so it is OK to come home at 9 o clock is it?” I realise she means nine in the morning and I am a bit surprised that I have been gone that long. I start looking around and it is dark, like really dark, which wouldn't fit the time of nine in the morning. I start a discussion with them about this, and although my grandmother disagrees my granddad start coming around to the idea of it being overly dark.

There is another shift and now I am back at my computer in a room that is very different to mine, but it is still my room. I am at the computer and now all the Diablo shit that has happened seems to happen at once on the computer. I am fairly surprised for two reasons, firstly he shouldn't be in the catacombs, secondly I know the other times it has happened have just been HHs. He is running at me and hitting me so quickly, other monsters join the fight, they all die except him and in the end I run out of healing pots and die as well.

Notes: I wake up feeling really disheartened, for not realising I am dreaming although the mantra was clearly carried over. roughly 2-2.5 hours have passed in sleep so the REM period wouldn't have been that long. Now when thinking about it the next day, it is probably not that bad of a first attempt.

I am in a race of sorts, where we all have to pick up a racing car with varying abilities and proficiencies, a bit like Mario carts. My vehicle is a mixture of a pig and an insect, and I know it isn't the fastest available, but I get a good start. At a point in the race I stop to marvel at I believe it is John Cleese, who is lifting his cart up to the second floor within a moving truck and running it through it so he can get out on the other side. I don't know why he is doing this, but the action does seem somewhat rational, like he might have picked up a card from a deck that tells him to do this.

I am talking to someone about some activity that will excuse me from social interaction, and I tell people I like it, besides that it means that I can shower up to 5 times a day which is good.

I am at a construction site, a big one and I ma there to test the lift going up to the roof where the actual construction is taking place. As I walk out I am a bit uncertain and frightened because there are no rails, it would be easy to fall down. I walk into the building and I get the impression that it is a stadium they are constructing. I notice that I have actually gone over an area where you can see down to the ground and it would be possible to fall between the pieces of wood supposed to hold the roofing so I quickly find a more suitable place to stand.

I speak with one of the people working there, and all of a sudden I am employed as a worker. I know I have no expertise in this area so I tell them, that they need to instruct me for whatever they want me to do.

We are putting on the roofing, it is made of plastic, it is blue and the way it works is that you slide your new piece under the one that has already been put down and make them sort of click together in a trench. I ask if gloves would be needed for that and the guy currently putting out pieces tells me it would help as the otherwise there is a risk of injuring your hand.

He tells me that he will probably need me to crawl out over the edge again and start putting down pieces out there. He then say that he probably wouldn't ask me to crawl in such an unsafe location, but I tell him that I don't mind. I have done worse when I was little and besides that the pieces of wood are so close together that it is difficult to fall through, yet I am a bit nervous still.

      skip

I am on the ground with a piece of roofing and I am explaining to one of my mates that it is a different type of plastic than your average shed roof. It is more resilient and difficult to penetrate.
    5. Royal Romance

      by , 07-04-2011 at 07:58 PM
Before I start, I want to say that I live in Denmark and I know nothing at all about the english royal family, nor do I know if they actually have a princess around my age.

So the dream started off with me having an affair with an english princess named Cam or Cami.. something like that. The media knew nothing about it.
Then at a conference or alike, I went to her and kissed her, with press cameras rolling and everything. She kissed me back and the media went wild. All of Britain was amazed and excited about their princess having a boyfriend. You won't believe how amazing it felt, and I really wish it was true. Later on I looked at YouTube and saw all these stupid montages that lonely 14 year old crazy, british girls make about Cami and me.

When I woke up I felt sad because nothing that great has ever happened in my life.
    6. 10-20 seconds to end my dryspell, but it is a start (WILD)

      by , 07-03-2011 at 12:49 PM
      non-dream - non-lucid - lucid

03-07-11 I slid out of bed during WILD attempt and knew I was dreaming as I never lost consciousness. When I feel a tingle down my right arm I recognise it as paralysis. I start experimenting. I start off by being able to move a phantom arm outside my normal arm and then things pick up speed as I rotate within my body. After this I slide out of the bed somewhat falling somewhat levitating.

My room had a wall where the windows normally are and there were two tellies. Another difference is that there is a guitar hanging above the computer table accompanied by some strange decorations. I start falling through the floor and my breathing is impaired, which frightens me a bit. Although I am fully separated from my physical body location wise I can still feel my breathing and I draw in a deep breath. I decide to brave it and although the image is fading I shout out “I want to remain lucid” (I actually scream this in English though it is a second language). At first my voice is blurry and I am having trouble getting the words out. This isn't new to me however so I scream it again and again. Might do it 4 times in total. As the dream stabilise a bit I notice it is sunny outside so I go towards the window intending to find Mitzu (to clarify if that yellow eyed man eater is actually my dream guide). I start calling her name and start flying through the window. For a brief second I expect problems with the window, but to my surprise I manage to go through it with no issues, however it is as if I am looking from inside the glass for a substantial amount of time, which distorts my vision a bit blurring things. My flight is working fine and as I look down I notice a lot of clutter on the terrace below, some of it is plants the rest I don't figure out in time as the dream ends.

Notes: This was an unintentional WILD. I had tried for an hour before with no success after 2-3 hours of pre-sleep. Think I was too caught up in awareness when I compare the first try with this. Second time I kept sorta singing the Hakuna Matata (LK-WILD FTW!! ^^) mantra as I really wanted to rest, seeing I am ill and all. There were some few spontaneous breath focusing when I saw HHs, but very limited awareness compared to the almost meditative states I experienced before. This mini-awareness was enough for me to recognise though when SP kicked in and I just went for it.

    7. WILD Attempt

      by , 07-03-2011 at 02:13 AM
I decided to try a real WILD while the kid was napping. I used reverse blinking to help me relax and focused on my breathing, repeating the mantra, "I am lucid, The world is vivid." I could feel my body twitching but I don't remember transitioning into the dream. I was suddenly aware that I was showing my hubby an online video of some cute little babies. There were three babies and they were playing, then I realized that they were in a house that looked a lot like mine. I thought maybe they just live in a similar trailer (I mean mobile homes mostly have the same layout). Then I noticed the couch in the video was the EXACT same. I was starting to freak out a little, thinking I had been sent a video from the future. I started to awaken and before I opened my eyes realized that I was just tricked by the dream.

I opened my eyes for just a sec and closed them again, hoping to DEILD, if that's the right term for it. Soon after I was in another dream and I was sitting on the floor by the bookshelf. My son was asleep and my inlaws were at my house. They were acting strange towards me and I realized I had no shirt on, only my shorts and my bra. I felt embarassed and told them sorry over and over that I hadn't realized I had taken my shirt off. They laughed at me and again I started to wake up and realized I was dreaming when it was too late. =/

Then my son woke up, lol.

    8. Corpse in the woods

      by , 07-02-2011 at 09:04 PM
I dreamt about waking up at 11:45 (and had to be at my work at 12:00) so I panicced around, trying to make someone take my shift, but couldn't. I couldn't get on the bus in time either.
Today I actually had to go to work at 12:00, but I woke up in time luckily :-)

Then later i dreamt about finding a maggot infested body in the woods. Not sure if it's a part of the other dream.
More detailed; I walked on a trampled path in a field of tall grass, showing a person where the body was. We moved some planks with nettles, and found a supposed old, rotten and dead woman with a coat on and a massive bulge on her back. Maggots, flies and leeches were crawling all over her. The person I showed her to, lifted her up and walked away with her.

Side notes: It seems that lately, I've been dreaming about stuff that could happen/go wrong the next day if I've been nervous about it.
Another example is that the day before my oral english exam, I dreamt that I went through alot of awkward trouble and turned up 15 minutes late for it. Very related to this. I should start doing reality checks every time something goes wrong (I'm clumsy).
    9. Eight Months Later...

I'm back, and hopefully for a while! With the difficulties of school and busy schedules, I think I lost interest in lucid dreaming last year, but I was thinking the summer would be the perfect opportunity to build up recall and maybe start having lucid dreams again! Anyhow, I read through my dream journal last night, and did a sorta WBTB, and ended up having a couple fairly vivid dreams, the latter of which SHOULD have been lucid, had I been paying enough attention. Also, I failed to write my first dream down, so now I barely remember any of it. Oh well, you win some and lose some.

      Alaska Cruise (Fragment)

At 6:00 AM, I'm pretty sure I could have gotten a good couple of paragraphs out of this one, but by now... not so much. Basically, I was on a cruise from Vancouver up the coast of Canada and to Alaska with my family. I think I was looking for someone, or exploring the ship for some reason quite a bit, but other than that, I don't recall much.

      Pulled Over

This one was a little more bizarre in some ways, and I really should have realized it was a dream. I was at a party, and decided to go ahead and go home early. After saying goodbye to my parents, I started to drive back. After leaving the house, which now that I think about it was more like a small mansion, I began to drive past a small suburb in a valley. The road was one way only (or at least without any yellow lines) and was built into the side of a steep hill. To the left was a decently sized group of houses, small stores, and other assorted buildings. As I drove, I was talking to my dad on the phone (talking on the phone while driving being something I'm sort of uncomfortable with still) who was telling me to come back to the party and help clean up. I told him I needed to pay attention to the road and would call him back, before I broke through a fence into a small industrial/factory area.

This is where it gets a little weird. It's a decent drop, maybe 6 feet or so, but it feels longer, and a lot bumpier. I try to regain control after landing, swerving a few times and dropping down some other small hills, before finally turning myself around and pulling the car back onto the road. At the same time, I find a gun in my car and decide to reload it (???), and when I notice a lever outside the factory I pull that too. No idea what it actually did, though. Anyways, as I pull up onto the road, a cop is driving by, and I accidentally run into them. Predictably, they pull me over, but somehow the scene shifts back to my bedroom.

At this point, the cop is interrogating me about why I had a gun (no idea), why I was driving so crazily (talking on the phone), and why I would decide to pull a random lever on the side of the road. At this point, I express the thought that I might even be dreaming, and ask the cop to hit me to make sure. He does, and then I slap my own hand, but I think I feel pain so I decide it isn't a dream. (Stupid stupid reality test! I know better than that! >_<). My dad walks into the room at this point, and says something along the lines of, "What have you done?" I explain that I was pulled over, then the scene shifts again.

Finally, we end up in the hallway outside of my bedroom. The cop is testing me to see if I've learned my lesson. He places a red, then a green lever in front of me. When I refuse to pull them, he seems satisfied, because I shouldn't pull a lever unless I know what it does. He turns the green lever around, and tells me that if I had pulled it I would have contracted a deadly Elephant STD. (Crazy brain. ) At this point, the dream ends.

I woke up, and was all, "See, I knew it was a dream!" I was more relieved that it wasn't real than disappointed in myself for not realizing that it wasn't.

    10. Battle before bed

      by , 07-01-2011 at 10:59 PM (Robo's Dreams)
NOTE: this is not actually a dream, this is what happened to me as I was falling asleep last night, so I guess the closest It would be would be hypogogaic (spelling?) imagery.

While I was falling asleep, I felt as if I had some energy blockages that would prevent me from reaching the town of Denn in my dreams, so I decided to investigate. I turned my mind's eye inward to examine the source. there appeared to be a relatively large monster blocking a portal or an opening of some kind. It realized I had noticed it and took a combative stance. I was in reploid form, because I had planned on visiting Denn. I charged in and slew it with a bit of effort with my energy blade. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, smaller enemies started appearing, they seemed to be shadows of some kind. again, I attempted to slay them with my energy blade, but their wounds would regenerate instantaneously, and there were a lot of them. they begun clinging to me, latching on with some sort of bear hug. I carved and slashed, but it was ineffective. I returned my attention to my physical body, still vaguely aware of the internal struggle. then I got an idea. I focused some energy, and siphoned it to my mind's eye body (i guess that's what you would call it). I used the energy to create a ball of light above me before they were able to suck the new energy out. they turned to ash. I tried eating the ash, but it was tasteless and dry... gross. I spat it out and willed it into the portal/hole thing in the wall that was being guarded. I immediately regretted this decision, as I felt it run down my spine, it was a very creepy sensation.

Unfortunately I have no dream recall from last night, so I'm not sure if I actually was able to visit and defend Denn or not.

    11. Lucid 5 the gigant teddybear.

by , 07-01-2011 at 08:56 AM (The weird dreams of Appe96)
      Type: Lucid, Fragment
      Vivid: Short

Notes: I haven't been active for a while but now I guess I'm back

Fragment 1: I was standing outside my house with my friend and a gigant teddybear. I don't remember what I was doing but I remember that I suddenly thought; "Wait a minut, I had a dream about this teddybear before". So I checked if my hand looked normal, and noticed that my hand was kind of shimery. I was not sure what that meant, so I plugged my nose and tried to breath. I could feel the air running through my nose, and I started to scream; "I'm dreaming, I'm dreaming"! I wanted to try to teleport myself to another location, so I tried to think about the location

Fragment 2: I was in the location I thought about (I think.) Something happens but I dont remember what. I wake up

So, I tried having a lucid again. I knew I would not be successful, as I can tell this takes a lot of hard work. But now after spending some time in the Newbie Zone, I learned HOW to make an entry to my dream journal (not this one, the one where I actually write stuff on paper)

Instead of: nothing Happened, I can say: I do not remember my dream today, but I feel awfully tired.

I need to say how I am feeling after, what I can remember or what the main subject was about (if I cant remember anything else). Even "cats" will do, according to the newbie zone helpers.

Anyways, Im probably going to bed not expecting to have a lucid, yet expecting to have a dream that I can still feel when I wake up. As some say, failure is better than no result at all.

I have read many articles now about Lucid Dreaming, and I believe that will help me to have a lucid. I have many doubts on what I would do if i had a lucid, yet I must not give in to those doubts. I learned that you must stabilize your dream and do a reality check whenever you are in a new dream. I will try to appeal to all my senses before going around and see what I can do. I am very excited about this, because I have never had a lucid where I could remember my senses and how it felt when I woke up. I will make sure to write everything down after my dream, specially details and sensory details.

I hope I can have a lucid in less than 2 weeks, seeing I am excited as I could be. I will try many methods, but my first one will be DILD.

      Wish me luck

      June 29, 2:28 PM

So I have tried to LD yesterday, with no luck. I have been going over what I did wrong, and I think I know what it is. First, I fapped twice that day (lmao). I also did not sleep in my regular schedule, instead of sleeping by 4 AM I slept at 1 AM, possibly making me not as tired. I was also confused whether to doe a MILD or a WILD, and I kind of went with both. I am still experimenting with both, and if I do not have a lucid dream in a month, I will confirm that I am not a person of dreams.

I had a mild dream, but not lucid. I was in a poll, kinda like in TV shows. I had a number 4 on my screen thing, and I was very sad. That is all I remember

Maybe I need to do more reality checks, or dream more relaxed/without fapping.

It is only day 1, but I am more excited than ever to make this work. I will keep trying and learn from my failures.

      Peace
