what is the use of flight

It begins in downtown san francisco. I was driving through the city in escape of my assailants, evil men from an unknown army. I found myself arriving at a Flea Market just outside the city, which is where this dream really takes place.

I got out of the car and immediately began hovering. This was one of those dreams, like so many from my past.

As I drifted through the market I checked out everything. There was food, pet rabbits and puppies, clothing, guns, lots of shit. I passed one girl who was quite beautiful but a bit too young, so I just made hard eye contact to throw her off then moved through the crowd, she went to follow me a bit to see if I was into her but I got distracted by the food. There was so much crispy chicken, but I looked away and when I turned back they were packing up, and I had no money anyway.

I wanted to know what was still available so I flew about 20 feet up and saw a section of the mens clothing shop that was uninhabited, as it went around a corner hidden by coats. I dove in and tried on some suits but they were extremely torn and ghetto so I went back out to the main market. There I saw a beautiful girl with a guy, but I just started talking to them both. She complimented me so I playfully hugged her and he was thrown off. Then I started flying around looking at stuff and they were flipping out asking how I did that. I said "I'll show you", put my arms around her and gently floated up. It was a beautiful moment. I stared into her eyes as I went to the ground and let her down, and then I waved goodbye to them and floated away to the woods. In the woods was a cliff, and at the top was massive old building built by the boy scouts in their early days, with a massive stone bridge connecting it across a ravine in the cliffs. There I found some friends, and we went exploring.

I was ambushed in the woods by the men I was fleeing in the beginning, and flew through the treetops to lose them. I could see them setting up snipers everywhere in the woods, guys with white helmets on. That was a dumb move as my friends and I corrdinated our rifles and sniped every white helmet in the head at the same moment. We went into the woods to grab all the rifles and burn their supplies. I went back to the market to find a place for the rifles. I put them down and saw the girl again, and I talked to her for a bit. There was a connection. Then I headed out to the woods to find more enemies. Instead I found the beginning of a massive forest fire I had caused by carelessly burning the supplies. It was going to take the forest and the boyscout mansion. I couldn't let it. And yet, suddenly Rob showed up and started talking to me about wing suiting, and I told him it was how I had gained my passion for flight and eventually my ability to fly at will. We relived old jumps off mountains and towers, and suddenly I snapped back to the present. I knew something had gone wrong while I was lost in my fantasies.

I went back to the market, and in there was a painting frame left by the girl. It was playing a video, an animated one that was about me. It was so colourful and beautiful and was saying how at first I appeared like this amazing person, a tall tower of a man, with a giant crown upon my roofed head. I was full of life and compassion, yet after the pretend and the ego had been stripped away by her, and my true colours were shown I was left as a small fool's tower, the height and brick stripped away. There was a crown on top of it still, yet no height to really see the world from, and no reason for the grandeur. She told me that I was not who I said I was, and that I was a little man with little problems, and she could not love me.

I think this is a beautiful message. To take off the crown and truly build the tower up, make myself a real substantial person and allow the praise to come.

The point of flight is being able to wingsuit without risking death.
