Bikes in self-storage, and movies in a dream

There were two dreams that I recall parts of. Both non-lucid.

    1. There was a self storage place with a concrete ramp and I was keeping stuff in there. It was pretty full. There were some bicycles that I needed to move inside. But there wasn't really enough space. As I was loading it someone nearby had an international scout. She couldn't get it started and wanted me to help. I went to help but when I got there she managed to get it started. She drove it away down to the bottom of the muddy hill.

    2. In another scene I was watching a movie and there was an alien who was wearing a leather jacket with funky wooden armor on it. Kind of like a number of small wooden scales with symbols on them, in a random patchwork that only covered about half the coat. It wasn't clear whether a) in the dream I was watching a movie, or b) I wasn't really physically *in* this part of the dream, but the scene was just being presented to me in a movie-likeway. It's a subtle distinction, but quite real. The alien was presented in a scene which first showed the jacket, and then slowly panned up to the head to reveal a non-human head, kind of a cross between fish and lizard looking. And there were some Japanese people, but I'm not sure of their role, not sure if they were in the movie or were watching the moviewith me.

    That's it.

I love these hybrid (and often indescribable) forms of perception that dreams make possible!

They are cool, but a challenge to describe. It's often impossible to capture some of the nuances with written text.
