    Shark; Water; Bad guys

Two days ago I was standing on a wooden platform just inches above water. I was watching a huge fish swim below me. The more I looked, more I saw it and it turned out to be a great white shark. Mostly I only see big black fish with white spots, like behind a dirty glass. We were going to swim and play in the water, so we watched for it to stay away and we picked a spot where we thought it wont go to.

Standing on a low seawall. Looking at a clear water with pebbles on the bottom. Only a few inches deep, getting a bit deeper a few steps further in. Someone jumps in and I realize the water is cold, But I love water and it looks so inviting. Plus the pebbles and sea shells are intriguing and with great pleasure, I jump in feet first. We are all fully dressed and I know I will be wet up to my knees, but I don't mind one bit. I keep looking into water for sea shells and I'm happy.

[I have noticed something interesting about my dreams, but mostly about lucid dreams. Sometimes I can't see far. (Sometimes yes, with binocular vision, or without it). But it can happen, that I only see my immediate surroundings. Rest is like black walls. As if I was on the set and that's the only place. Behind it is just walls and something else, but not the dream scene.]

    Last night:
I was walking up the street in my home town, from direction of my high school. As I got to the intersection, it was blocked off with some kind of a checkpoint with ropes blocking the way. Bad guys were standing there. I was with others and we were not gonna have it. I got an automatic rifle, went behind the bad guys and started killing them.

That's an interesting observation. So, in your lucids do you consciously try to look ahead and then see the distance dark or blurry, or is it more that you are looking around you and the background seems non-existent? In a way, background is indeed non-existent, as our mind assembles only what we focus on.

I would expect that if one would focus enough on the distance ahead, that which is close to us will gradually disappear too! Maybe you get transported to the mountains and then the background becomes the foreground .

Sometimes I can see to the distance, even without any effort or thinking/wishing to see it.

But sometimes, it's like I'm in a room with black walls. Only there are no walls, just a very abrupt end to the place where I am. And I only see what's in the room. There was a glitch in one of the Grand Theft Auto games. You can fall through the roof and fall down to small section of the city. You walk around, there are houses and streets. But you can see the end of this area. Literally the rest of the place was not made yet by the programmers. That's how I feel in some of my lucids.

And yeah, thats interesting, how we bring into existence places just by looking at them, and they disappear when we stop looking. I will mention a video game again, and it's GTA again, haha. To do one particular task, the game gives you a tank. After this task is over, you are not suppose to be able to keep this tank. You have it only for that task. But someone figured out, that if you keep this tank in front of you, never letting your eyes off of it, you can somehow push it to your save spot and save the game, so when you restart, you have the tank. But as soon as you turn away, it will disappear, haha.

So much fun to notice all these little strange things in lucids.

So weird you brought up GTA! Haven't played this myself but my bf has been playing this for the last week or so .

The first example of the GTA bug reminds me of the movie 13th floor where the city turns into an unfinished graphic at the city outskirts.

I was wondering how often do you play such games. Been recently looking into research that RPG games stimulate the visual cortex and increase brain thickness, so these could be quite helpful for us lders.

Recently due to a lot of nasty factors (think work and stress) my dreams have become poorer in visual stimuli, so I think this may be a solution to help restore the 3D perception of the world. It could make lds better too.
