Lucid Time!

Pikmin 2 was one of my favorite games of my childhood. Sure the original Pikmin is a classic, but the second one just ups the antie in every category. Better graphics. More to do. More enemies. Usually I completely stop dreaming about games once I stop playing them. I've pretty much given up Minecraft completely and as such I no longer have any of those minecraft-themed dreams. This game however, seems different in that regard. I stopped playing it years ago but it still comes back in my dreams from time to time. I feel like I dream of this game a lot more than I care to mention, though I must get the memories of the game mixed up with the actual game.

I recall landing in a new, undiscovered hub world. The world was very green and organic with lots of ferns, mossy rockts and water hazards. Kind of the same vibe as perplexing pool/distant spring. I had a full balanced party of pikmin and for some reason there were white and purple pikmin onions.

I recall it being rather small. There were lots of 'treasures' I needed to get. I remembered one of them was a screw, and another was an integrated circuit chip. But there were also lots of difficult enemies. (In the game, the treasures are man-made items.)

There seemed to be a lot of hard enemies and the world started to give me a creepy vibe. Then it turned out that ghosts were enemies. (In pikmin, whenever you defeat an enemy, a ghost rises up from them and fades.) Some of my pikmin died, but then I found out I could whistle and control my pikmin ghosts. (When Pikmin die, they produce ghosts that fade too.) but in this version, the ghosts didn't fade and you had to use them to fight.

I found a dungeon entrance as the day was coming to an end and remember thinking that I didn't recall this area ever being in the game before but 'remembered' that I had installed a mod for the game that added more areas.

I went into the dungeon. The first floor was made entirely of sand, with a few water hazards and some easier enemies. I began to clear it out. My ghost pikmin had reverted to normal pikmin. Everything seemed to be going okay until a Man-At-Legs boss appeared. Though he wasn't normal. He had this big metal eye shaped thing on him and he had two guns rather than one. He could also project force feilds.

I thought about something that I had made in LittleBigPlanet. But my thoughts returned to the game. I remembered this was my favorite boss, but he was also pretty easy if you knew how to fight him. I pulled my regular strategy and even with his upgrades, he was no match for me.

I found the gate to the next floor. The game said that I was now on floor 6. Weird. It was a metal dungeon theme now, and it was dark. There were no enemies on this floor, just lots of loot. That was, until I found a raging long legs. I fought him off too, but he killed one of my commanders in a single hit.

I then found the next gate and went to the next floor. This was floor 13.1. It was a typical dirt theme with some big stones. There was a blue empress bulblax that was really hard to fight. So many bosses! And weird variations of bosses that were harder. I forgot what happened after this.

I recall a lucid where I was fighting Wolverine, like the comic book character in the front yard of my house. I was semi lucid and I was fighting using my blades to block his claws, but he kept regenerating.

Somehow related to this was a dream about Marcus. he had built this silver suit that sort of looked like an Iron Man suit only it had a big cannon/light in the middle of the forehead rather than the head. He was flying in this suit above a near-future looking city in an intense rain/thunderstorm.

Then King Gidorah came out of the ocean and the two started fighting. I was watching the fight in third-person. Though I was also standing on a peir a long way away from the fight.

The cannon in his head started charging and these radiator panels folded out. He shot this giant energy ray that knocked Gidorah back right through the center of the city destroying all the skyscrapers and basically cutting the entire city in half.
