    1. 1/15/16: Girl Got Me Lucid (Love/Lucid Madness)

      by , 01-17-2016 at 05:49 AM
      [Notes]:
      - Still further into WBTB + request method, and this is getting better and better.
      - Most control I've had in a lucid yet.
      - REALLY gotta fix the gyroscope turning problem.

      Lucid Non-Lucid Non-Dream

      [Enter dream]
I’m in an accurate version of the weight room. I’m sitting on these bleachers by the windows. Suddenly, while Ms. N is talking, H comes over and plops herself right next to me. I ask her, “So who are you dating?” In reality, she seems kinda interested in me but has a BF. She tells me that that’s the issue and that things are kinda rough between her and J, so she was wondering if I “wanted to have sex?” And I’m like, “Whoa, whoa, what do you mean by that? Do you mean like ‘doing it’, like, sexual intercourse?” And she says “Not quite, I mean...” But then I leave and move over to one of the lockers. I open it up and find a bunch of magazines inside. Then I realize, “Wait, I just talked to her. That would only happen in a dream!” The lucidity sets in. I start saying “I’m dreaming, I’m dreaming, I’m dreaming!” I turn around, look around, and then look at my hands to stabilize. I remember that I wanted clarity and say it. Things get a little clearer, but still not nearly as clear as I want. I turn around (which sends my POV kinda lopsided… definitely gotta fix that problem.) I’m laughing to myself and see PG looking at me with disgust. I look at her and say ”Shut the ___ up!” And I side kick her whole box apparatus into her and knock her over, knowing she’s a DC. Man, I’m a dream jerk. I run off and find some more boxes. I just start throwing them around the gym, and I drop kick one. No one notices. Then I just ran a lap around the gym. This is easily the longest and most controlled lucid I’ve ever had.

    2. 1/10/15: Emma Watson and Warframe (Semi-lucid/Love)

      by , 01-17-2016 at 05:32 AM
      [Notes]:
      - This took place after I requested to myself to have a dream with intense feelings... and it seemed to work!
      - This is result of my new nightly WBTB practice.
      - There was a moment of slight lucidity in here.

      Lucid Non-Lucid Non-Dream

      [Enter dream (post-WBTB?)]:
There’s a paper that I forgot to read and respond to, and almost everyone in class forgot to do it as well. They would be trying to get it in late with no penalty (Freya, Reyna, etc.) I talked w/ my teacher in a small side-street with one-seater Fallout cars and she said “Maybe.” This may have taken place in the week before spring break?

Warframe. Sophia is a “supporter.” She has these gummies... We decide that we’re gonna go to the citadel of the (Brotherhood of Steel?). We start talking about it when I’m about halfway through the stairway. Then she starts getting a little flirty. We stand by the door, deciding, and she kinda turns into Emma Watson and tries to kiss me from over the shoulder. I kinda slough her off and ask why she'd try to do that so early. Then she says that it was for "trying to get a leg up on her in the stairway." We go to the citadel and as we enter the main building, she kinda sneaks on me and grabs my hand. It was intense, and I've had this moment in many dreams before. I say, “I’m sorry. I know it’s been a long time coming.” She says, “I know.”
Then, as we start to go down the steps, I realize that it’s only ever been in my dreams that I’ve held her hand, and I say “Oh, wait. This is a dream.” I continue to walk with her to our new place. On the way, I grab a random thing and read it, saying “Gotta maintain my lucidity!” We’re in the back of the building (very rocky), and I find my desk, and she finds hers. We put down our stuff, and move up to check out. She puts down her gummies on the checkout, and I put a card-thing in to sign up. There was apparently a discount for supporter as opposed to warrior… loophole could let me get stuff for less. Boosters in a hexagon map thing...

SJ was building a bunker/shelter out of some metal that started with “s.” I couldn’t pronounce it in the dream either.

French guy named Jean meets this girl and asks if she wants to Skype with him (in a suggestive manner).

    3. 1/1/15: First Lucidity of the Year! (DILD/DEILD)

      by , 01-03-2016 at 04:28 AM
      [Notes]:
      - Used WBTB. The dream came in fairly late after I fell asleep.
      - For the longest time I was trying to WILD, but I gave up. I'll have to ask about that!
      - Had my first lucid FA!
      - I also had a DEILD!? I guess!
      - I'd been working on observing HI for a while that day, as well as the night before.
      - I'm changing my format to one I've seen around a lot.

      Lucid Non-Lucid Non-Dream

      [Enter dream:]
So I walk into the new MPC room, and there's practically twenty-five people. Almost all of them are black, except for AI. I look around, and in anarchy people are kinda running around and showing music and stuff. I realize I'm late. TQ (who had a different name in the dream) was showing his newest trap beat to everyone, and it sounded pretty good. People were bopping to him, and he was doing great. My old chem teacher held me up as I did the Hotline Bling dance

Anyway, I eventually got up in front of the club awkwardly. I apologized for being late and said, "I always say welcome to my clubs," as I wrote on this neon blackboard. I wrote "Welcome" in chickenscratch and then some other gibberish about what we were going to do, then realized it was kinda illegible. I picked it up and showed it to a girl in front and said, "Is any of that remotely legible?" And she shook her head. I started to write *more* legibly on the real whiteboard, but I realized I was just wasting everyone's time with it, so I just turned around and started asking people what they do. I asked AI what he does (for some reason I associated him with an avatar of a cartoon eagle), and he cockily replied with some crazy technological thing. He had some contraption that was put together with a button on it... sounded like crap if I remember right. Then, there was this other kid who wanted to go. I asked him what he did, but he kinda had a hard time explaining. He played it. It was a video, but apparently he had overdubbed the speech or something. The bell rang and the club ended.

There was something about going to my old middle school, and meeting siblings of my friends. The dream fragments.

I'm out on the wall in my yard. There's this scrawny little pine tree on the middle of the hill that's not usually there. I go over to it, and then I hear something. I look over, and this little doe is charging me from the west side by the creek. I see it and it comes to me at full speed. It gets close and I freak out and crawl up the little tree.
Halfway up, I recognize the nightmare feeling, and I fully realize that I'm dreaming. Just to make sure, I look at my hands, and of course I have six fingers on each hand.

I suddenly wake up from excitement. At this moment, I immediately tried to fall back into the dream. Guess what? It worked!

I'm standing next to the same pine tree. I look around, not lucid yet, and see something under my porch. Something big. It's a moose this time, with a full set of antlers. The fear sets in, and it begins to run for me. At this moment, I recognize the fear, and become aware. It was an achievement to finally be able to dive back into a dream. Call it a DEILD! The moose stands there, and I look at my palms. Again, I've got some odd number of fingers.

Suddenly, I wake up in my room. I turn on the light and look at my hands. TWELVE FINGERS!!! I suddenly realize that I just had my first false awakening. I continue to look at my hands as to stabilize the dream, but it barely works. I see my dog chilling out in front of my bed, looking at me. "Oh, hey, it's a dream character!" I thought. I remembered one of my long-time goals of asking for a joke, and did so. Then I just started hearing my own joke from my own head. It clearly wasn't a subconscious thought.

I woke up and felt relieved. This lucid was the best one I've had in months, and it's great to finally get back in the groove.
    4. 11/8/15: Mirrors and DreamViews! (Lucid)

      by , 11-10-2015 at 04:50 AM
      Notes:
      - I felt a bit flustered throughout the whole dream.
      - I may or may not have woken up before this dream to mantra... it's hard to remember when this dream came in the night. I'm pretty sure I woke up around 5 or 6 and thought about getting lucid then.
      - I kinda felt like I had tunnel vision the whole time.

      [Enter dream]:
So I'm in this apartment in LA or San Fran, I'm not sure. I just know I was in a dry area of California. I look out the window up the dusty street and look along the other apartments. It was a pleasant day. I look back into my room (devoid of furniture), and I saw this brown/black greyhound roaching (writhing around) on the beige carpet against the wall. I go and look at it, and think to myself "Wait, the only greyhound I ever saw was... I'M DREAMING!!" [ENTER LUCIDITY]
I immediately start thinking of things to do. The first thing that comes to mind was to hop into Baron's Lucid Urth. I've never been able to force a change in setting before, so I considered jumping through a window or something to escape (I believe Baron recommended this?). I found this double-paned window above the door and figured I'd try jumping through it. I smacked it and fell over. I decided I wouldn't try that again tonight.
I scrambled around a little bit more trying to figure out what I should do. I remembered that people had experienced interesting things when looking in a mirror in a dream. I ran to my room and looked into the mirror, knowing that what I see may make me want to wake up. Instead, I saw this ridiculous, practically comical distortion of myself. My neck was a foot long, and my face was smushed around in really strange ways. Totally worth it - 10/10 would look again.
Then I grab my laptop IN THE DREAM and I open up DreamViews to look up what other people saw, and the consensus was that yes, distortions are normal, and there was a collage of pictures of people's distorted faces that didn't quite fit on the screen.

    5. 10/30/15: A Witty Subconscious (Lucid Fragment)

      by , 11-07-2015 at 05:00 AM
      Notes:
      - No real techniques were used to achieve this; just luck I guess. I just felt like it was ridiculous that I was scared of a little ball.
      - I REALLY wish I could remember what the DC said. I know it was witty, but I can't remember what I asked either.

      [Fragment begins]:
I was getting chased by a green orb at a party and it was going to kill me if it touched me, so I got scared and ran. Then I thought "Seriously? It's just a stupid green ball. I mean, look." And it hit my arm and deflated like a balloon. Somewhere in the midst of that I realized I was dreaming, and then I proceeded to prepare myself to try talking to a DC (something I hadn't done before in a lucid). So then I went over to one of my friends and (sadly, my recall is faltering) I asked him some question and he responded with some sort of yo mama comeback... such a witty subconscious

    6. 10/27/15: HELP! ANOTHER FAILED LUCID (Fragment)

      by , 10-30-2015 at 12:11 AM
      Notes:
      - If this happens again, I'm going to post, because this simply can't continue.
      - My dream sign is a bear.
      - I assumed reality, just like no big deal.

      [Plot 1 begins]:
So I'm in this Jeep Wrangler driving on a residential gravel road with my mom. We're just going along; maybe 20 mph maximum. Then, there are wolves. They come slowly... creeping... from the residential area. They're moving like they're very old, and they're just crossing the street, and I stop.
I get out and to look at one. I observe it; it looks like it's fake, like from a video game or something, as its proportions are just off in many ways and its fur is rather polygon-ish and black and white. Then I see the bear. It's galloping towards us from afar (as usual), and I think to myself "Hey, it's a bear! Is this a dream? ... Nah..." and I went about the dream like all was well.

      [The dream fragments...]

How can I fix this? I do consciousness RC's all throughout the day, every couple of hours usually. I essentially take a moment to see if I feel like I'm in a dream, and look around to see if anything is odd; maybe look at my hands. However, as you could see in my previous failure I looked at my hands and didn't notice anything.
    7. 10/26/15: RC Fail.

      by , 10-27-2015 at 09:55 PM
      Notes:
      - I got triggered all because of my bear dream sign. I realize that sounds really spiritual and stuff but it's not; I only see bears in my dreams and I just know to recognise it now. They also come with a certain emotion, a fear of something far away that's coming for you.
      - The RC was so pathetic... I think I'm going to stick with the "focusing" RC, where I observe the world and take in every detail.

      [Plot 1 begins]
One of the cats and the dog were loose on the porch, and something told me to go get them. So I open up the porch door and see my dad out there. He looks off up into the hills behind me house and says, "There's a bear up there".

I swear, at that moment the sky got darker. I get the same kind of feeling from a dream bear that a Dementor from harry Potter would. Same deal, same fear that something is coming for you, and that it will get you.

At this moment, I step outside and grab the dog and the cat and bring them in. I close the door hurriedly, but the other cats had escaped while I was grabbing the others. I freak out; I know that the bear is close, and so I step out to get the cats when I realized, "Hey... could this be a dream?" I looked at my hands and got this really ridiculous FOV effect, and my fingers were all stuck together like a 90's video game. BUT I DIDN'T NOTICE. At this moment, I kinda forgot what I was doing in the dream and everything was ok. My dad and I were just hanging out on the porch.

    8. 10/19/15: First Lucid Experience with Stabilization Ever! (Lucid)

      by , 10-23-2015 at 11:14 PM
      Notes:
      - Is it normal to feel skeptical of a lucid dream after you’ve had it? The past couple of times I’ve wondered.
      - Is it normal to feel less “awake” once you’ve stabilized a dream? I certainly felt that way this time.

      [Fragments, fragnments]

      [Change setting; plot 1 begins]:
I’m in this rather huge house (40+ rooms I’d say) and there’s this gala/party going on in the main living space. I’m just wandering around as the dreaming mind does, lookin through all the foodstuffs. I find myself in a supply closet nearby, with microwaves and stuff. Then, I remember that I wanted to try and have a lucid dream.

At this moment, I became aware. I was thinking “OH CRAP HOLY CRAP I’M LUCID IM LUCID YAYYYY” but then I realized that I needed to stabilize, so I just tried focusing on the microwave in front of me, taking in every detail. That really helped a lot.

It came to my mind to use dream control, and I tried spawning someone but I couldn’t do it without starting to wake up. Instead, I decided I’d try to explore the dream world a bit, focusing on everything on the way, since I’m still a newb.

And so I walked into the living/kitchen area. I looked at everything closely: the countertop, the donuts, the snack stand, everything. The donut was especially vivid; I could see all the little bubbles in it and everything. For some reason, there was a bite out of it, and someone had put it back… eww… it was still on the stand (a metal, rotating stand) for anyone to take. I noticed after I woke up that there weren’t any visible DC’s in the dream.

I wander over to this hallway and realize I’m losing lucidity, and immediately start focusing on things to retain it. There’s an elevator, and I decide to take it (I didn't actually touch it or physically go in it though).

      [Change setting]:
I’m in my high school chemistry teacher’s room (or at least a permutation of it). I’m in there at my own lab bench, and behind me are two other kids, one of whom I know. Obviously, they’re in detention or something and aren’t taking it seriously. I, on the other hand, was trying to figure a way out of there to continue my lucid adventure, but here I would be trapped for the rest of the dream.
So these kids are just kinda messing around with some water in a dish, and I’m getting impatient. From here on, i think I lost lucidity. My teacher was talking about his lifetime goals, one of which was to get $9000 in a day. <- (I think he mentioned it as his “task of the month” )
The kids were messing around, and I wanted them to pay attention, so I figured I’d shut them up by knocking over their stupid dish into the sink. I do so, then my teacher yells at me, saying "What? You think that's ok? Really? In front of me? What do you think you're doing?" and it was rather laughable really.

    9. 10/9/15: First Lucid in Years! (Action/Fragment)

      by , 10-10-2015 at 11:50 PM
      Notes:
      - By studying my most common dream signs (bears and thunderstorms), I was able to have a DILD, even if it was only for a few seconds.
      - I was able to fall asleep after this segment, but I returned non-lucid. Such a shame.

      [Plot 1 begins]:
I'm in a forest, not unlike the picture below.

To my right was a large building; a concrete apartment building, but it was some rich family's mansion for some reason. I was alone in the forest, moving parallel to the house, going over little knolls and hills and taking cover. I had in my hands an M14-like rifle in my hands, similar to the one pictured below.

I took cover behind a little hill, and peeked over with my rifle. Suddenly, I felt an eerie sense of fear, and out of the edge of the forest 150 yards in front of me stumbles a huge grizzly bear. [ENTER LUCIDITY] I immediately recognized the fear and the bear as one of my dream signs, and suddenly became lucid. However, I could feel myself losing grasp on the dream in less than a second. I tried spinning, but I got tunnel vision and lost control.

      [Wake up; fall back asleep]:
For once, I managed to land back in the same dream, but now the bears were trolls, so I didn't really recognize them and I lost my lucidity. The dream continued, but I've forgotten it now.

      [End plot 1]

    10. 9/12/15: Pseudo-lucid Random Mess (Nonsense)

      by , 09-14-2015 at 02:18 AM
      Note:
      - I can't quite remember what order everything was in... but I'll go with my gut.
      - As soon as the "lucidity" kicks in, I feel like it was fake. Like the lucidity was part of the dream and not really my conscious.

      [Plot begins]:
I'm at some store (my brain tells me it's Ollie's) with my family. I round a corner and see this girl who I pseudo-broke-up with a long time ago (long story).
[Note: The day before, she'd shot me a pleasant look when I coincidentally saw her]
She sees me, and acknowledges me, not saying anything. Immediately, the awkwardness sets in, and I make my way out of the store. However, I hear her say under her breath something to the effect of: "There he goes again, saying nothing..."
This gave me the courage to turn around and go up to her.
I say, "Hey... How've you been?"
She looks down and says, "Pretty good... you?"
"Same." I say. There's this aura of wanting to reconcile, when she says:
"Do you want to make some plans?"
      And I say "Yes."

      [End plot; change setting]
I'm floating above this game world very similar to Minecraft and panning around (it's filled with tons of people). For some reason, I know I'm lucid and I think to myself: Yes! Now I can do the TOTM! <-- (Not really; I just wanted to pee on a DC)
Immediately, I fly over to this train station. There's this statue of a fat, drunk woman with *erm* improper dress holding a graduated cylinder full of pink liquid. I find Ron Weasley and a bunch of other DC's. I chase one of them and try peeing on them.... and I wake up. But I'm not sure if I really woke up or if I had a false awakening; this whole thing was pseudo-lucid.
Repeat the above step several times.

      [Fragment]:
I look to the skies and fly straight up, but the trees never stop getting taller... odd.

      [Wake up.]
