Dream No. 223 - Dream Guide To The Rescue

I don't remember how the dream started. From where I can remember, my parents and I are looking for a specific building. I thought it was one building but they said it was another one. We ended up entering this building that looked like a hospital from the outside, although we were intending on utilising the building for a different purpose. Although we entered from the bottom floor, once we got in, the dream started us off from the top floor. The inside of the building was old fashioned and carpeted, looking like the inside of a hotel.

We were supposed to reach the bottom floor for something. There were heaps of floors but I insisted that I would take the stairs. My parents ended up taking the lift by themselves. I had to be careful and time how I got down the stairs... I didn't want the lift doors opening right in front of me and scaring the heck out of me. There were actually lift doors placed in weird spaces so the timing was tricky to master, but I was successful... I always checked what floor the lift was on and made sure I didn't reach that floor at the same time.

We eventually all reached the bottom and came outside, ending up on this wooden patio, which was now near our needed destination for the house inspection we were attending. My mum had all of a sudden fallen off the patio, head first, into some porridge-like goop. I subconsciously knew that there was a grinding machine down there and my mum was being well and truly sucked towards it. It appears as though all the family were in the dream now... My brother had randomly spawned onto the patio.

So back to what was happening with my mum. As soon as my mum fell in and I lost sight of her, I screamed “OMG mum!”. I then looked up at my dad and my brother, hoping they wouldn't be mad at me for my next move. I didn't care about how anyone would act after that... I looked back at the sight of disaster and yelled at full volume “Dreamy WB!”. From that point, I felt like I was by myself, so I doubled over and ended up crying in shock, imagining what would happen to my mum if Dreamy WB didn't hear me. During my episode of crying, I tried to visualise what Dreamy WB would look like in this dream, to reinforce the idea of her presence.

It wasn't long before two heads popped out of the goop. Miraculously, Dreamy WB had my mum under her arm, pulling herself onto the patio and then helping my mum up. I was surprised to see that Dreamy WB's features had blended into the colour of the goop... I thought her hair would rather stand out so I would be spotting her before she came up. She told me she dyed parts of her hair blonde. She flipped her straight black hair upwards and indeed it was inversely blonde underneath. As I wanted to say something else to her, she put her hair back down.

I realised that to exit the building, we had to go back up and I would get exhausted from climbing millions of flights of stairs, so I asked Dreamy WB to help me take the lift. She agreed and told me to stand to the side next to the entrance of the building... We were about to rehearse how she was going to hold me. She then came around me and put a white cloth on one of my shoulders. After that, she hugged me from the side... The cloth had somehow amplified her energy, making me more relaxed than usual. We never actually got to the lift though... The dream ended.

    >> 9. Gave me heaps of affection before promising to put me to bed (216 B).
    >> 10. Hugged me when practising a position for the lift (223).

I was considering even when I haven't achieved a Dream Trophy, I'd make a regular counter for some things. I'll be adding more of them when I get the inspiration to:

Hugs Received From Dreamy WB: 10
    Hugs Received From WB: 3

I've Been Saved From General Dream Disasters How Many Times?: 18

It’s cool how you still managed to call her in your non lucid. What’s a dream trophy? Also, why count the times you were hugged or saved? Just curious.

I've managed to call her in heaps of non-lucids. A dream trophy is an achievement to get based on certain criteria... There is a journal entry solely explaining dream trophies. The new counter at the bottom of this dream is an indicator of the dream guide's effectiveness. Hugging is her way of taking away any stress or any other negativity I may express... That's the strengthening and healing aspect. Saving me from disasters is what she does best, that's the protecting and rationalizing portion. From the counter, it's indicated to me that I need to work on being able to summon her in complete nightmares.

Cool~ Ohh, I see. I've never really seen someone measure their guide effectiveness like that so its very interesting. I like how you measure healing through hugs too. Hugs are nice. Its too bad I end up forgetting most of the times my guide has hugged me. I do remember a special few though. Do you get nightmares a lot? I use to summon my guides when I had lucid nightmares but I ended up coming to the conclusion that confronting the nightmares myself was probably best for me. Not that having my guide there didn't make things more fun or easier I guess its a matter of personal preference too.

It's rare for me to get nightmares, but on the occasions I do get them, it scares the crud out me, they can turn from something simple to something so violent and gory... So even in normal dreams, I'm training myself to be able to summon Dreamy WB at will. Ever since her time, I've had 3 nightmares. I figure it'd be better to have her in nightmares because by myself, I just get scared, run and wake up. With her there, that should give me extra time and for her to "water-down" the nightmare, seeing if I can actually find the intention behind it. Like once, I had my deceased grandfather trying to kill me with a saw (Dream No. 77) and I just didn't have the capacity to stop him and talk to him! But no matter where I am, when I'm with my dream guide, I'm at peace.

Yeah, That does sound scary. I suppose if it gives you peace than it’s better than handling it alone. Especially since your not just hiding behind her but facing it as well when you feel calmer.
