    1. Lucid 77: "Standoff at a fair"

      by , 07-23-2011 at 09:25 PM
Some friends and I were at a kind of public event like a fair or something. We had guns for some reason. I was in the passenger seat of a green truck trying to snipe some hidden snipers through the windshield of the truck. I didn't want to kill them so I thought I would just shoot their sniper scope to scare them off. Then a official guy (or maybe a cop) came up to the car and asked me to hand over the gun (that had now become a shotgun). He got in a started driving the green truck down the highway (called US1 in real life). I told him me and my friends were confused about having guns near the public event. I told him we were dove hunting and there were no clearly defined rules or boundries set around the public event.

Right then I realized how strange all this was and became lucid. I told the cop,
      "You know something strange?"
      "What?"
      "This is a dream!"
He then started acting strange saying "Nooooo, noooo" and laughing. He seemed not to believe me. So I demonstrated to him that I could push my hand through the console of the truck. He was impressed and seemed to submit to my announcement. I told him that usually I would take off flying and doing what goals I could remember but I told him that he seemed like an interesting person and I wanted to talk to him some more. I noticed that he had dark brown eyes and for the first time I could clearly see the jagged, star shape pattern in the iris of his eye (never seen that in a DC before). I asked him what he represented and he replied "authority". Then he added power as well. I suppose that is rational for a cop dream figure. Then I took the wheel and tried to get off the highway and go really fast in the truck but the gas pedal wasn't working properly and I couldn't do much of anything. Then it faded out.

    2. Lucid: "Crazy DC!"

      by , 07-11-2011 at 10:20 PM
I become lucid in a place that looks like my yard. I stabilize it and slowly fly over very vibrant green grass toward some wooden framed houses being built in the distance. I see two police officiers of something arguing about the trouble with "River Street" (that is the name of a road at my college) and how the students from there have been giving the neighborhood lots of trouble. I half climb-half fly up to the top of one of the wooden frame houses, like the gravity is very low.

Next thing I remember I am in a field near my house practicing energy beams with my hands. They begin to change colors (from orange to green to red) and emit a energy cloud that looks like what you see radiating off pavement on a hot day. Then my mother approached me and told me something that struck me as odd because it seemed to suggest this was WPL (waking physical life). I told her that this is a dream and she became upset and said she was going to my room to get my "powder" or something. Apparently she believed it was witchcraft or something I was doing. After she finally left I realized that it was nighttime now and there were a great many stars in the sky.

Lastly something kind of bizarre happened. A girl DC started running across the field towards me and kicked me square in the bottom of the chin! I flew backwards about 20 feet, kinda shocked. She approached me again but this time I was ready and I grabbed her leg, slinging her in a circle and throwing her about 50 feet away (looking back I wish I would have asked her who she was or why are you attacking me). After that the dream faded out.
    3. Lucid Dream: "To the edge of Earth"

Finally decided to start a online dream journal. Since i've been practicing for about a year now I think my LDs are starting to become interesting enough to share. Also, I might need to write down any connections through the International Oneironaut Shared Dreaming project.

7/9/11 - "To the edge of Earth"

I somehow become lucid in the yard around my house. I did a couple different reality checks and was sure I was dreaming. The dream was acting unstable so I rubbed my hands and slowly spun and it quickly stablized and became very clear. I noticed that my surrounding were snowy and white. In the sky I saw a deep, vibrant green-blue planet that resembled Earth except it had about four enormous craters on it (so beautiful!). In the distance I saw a large white house up off the ground like you see at the beach. I thought about flying toward it and seeing if there were any DCs to talk to. However, I then recalled my goals and decided to do something different. I decided to first practice my flying skills. I held my arms out in front of me and jump-flew up and tried to land on my house. I totally overshot my mark and faceplanted on the other side of the yard in the snow.
Then I decided to try and do something i've always wanted to do... to leave Earth's atmosphere. I crouched, jumped and flew straight up with a great deal of speed. I quickly passed through many beautiful cumulus formations and was many many miles high. I looked out at the horizon and saw the endless cumulus clouds and oceans curving inward toward the horizon, backdropped by the deep blackness of space. It was so beautiful it nearly took my breath away.
Now I decided to fly back to the ground and try to impact like an asteroid. I flew back very fast and hit the ground but the dream suddenly blacked out. I thought that was it when something very strange happened. My entire field of view was fixed upon a 2 dimensional screen which looked like a high altitude surveillance image and in the foreground were these horizontally moving rows of numbers and symbols, a lot like The Matrix. I couldn't read any messages. Then, I was back in a field near my house. I remembered my next goal, to experiment with expectation and belief. I slowly started saying to myself "When I turn around there will be a doorway to a place I need to see". Then, the dream quickly flashed away and ended without any fading.
