Cities in the Astral

I have been lucid much of the night, but at some time I am surrounded by the group of Dream Guides that have been a new thing this year. On tells me that it is time for some next level stuff, but that it is intense and not to be afraid. He lead me into a chamber that looks to me kind of like a science building with scaffolding and cat walks and some giant machine on the lowest floor. I can not imagine what is next and am nervous. He takes me to the bottom near the machine(?) and am alien looking entity is there. She does not look like the greys in modern ufo stuff, but enough that way to give an idea. She tells me that I have gone about as far as I can in my understanding of these realms and my own dream work. It is time for them to change me into something that can see more (rough translation). I am instructed to put my forehead down on a ledge that may be part of the machine (we are right next to it, or a bank of desks? I am leary (of course) bare in mind that to me this is 100% real. I know I am dreaming, but am convinced I am in another dimension where I have slowly worked my way forward over almost 30 years. So, yes, this is more scary than jumping off an illusory cliff. I ask, "what should I expect?" She answers, "The closest thought in your mind that seems right is Electro Shock Therapy"
Well, that did not really calm me, but I do want to move forward. I know IWL that kind of therapy can be useful. I ask if the intensity of the thing will not just shock me awake? I am given the thought that if I can not hold on then I am not ready, how good are you? I place my head into some kind of cradle. A few seconds later I experience something hard to explain. It did not cause convulsions of the body. In fact, the body was no longer there. My ego or sense of self was not present either. Everything was patterns like lightning in red forming a galaxy of patterns. Suddenly I am back in the building with my head down. It happens again with blue, I come out into the lab and it happens again with gold. I am done. I lift my head and black out.
