    1. Lucid and Regular Dreams - Morning of Dec 27

      by , 12-29-2017 at 11:26 PM
The following lucid dreams were not extremely vivid, but were numerous (for me) and groundbreaking nonetheless. Although I forgot to do any stabilization techniques or RCs, I remembered to yell "More Lucidity Now!" and ask several DCs if they were my dream guide! All in all, it was an eventful night.

In the beginning of the night I had a few nonlucids, which I have little memory of. The first I can remember was in a humongous supermarket -- I'm starting to add skewed, elongated, or infinite spaces as one of my dream signs -- I was with a girl and possibly others down a long aisle that reminded me of the pet food/accessories aisle in Walmart irl. I wrote down in my DJ that I asked the girl something about dream characters, but I can't remember anything more specific.

Note: That night I went to sleep on my parent's couch, tired after a long day, tried a glass of apple juice as an oneirogen for the first time, and took .75mg of melatonin.

The first lucid dream I had started in a dark room. I could see two silhouettes in the lighted doorway -- a woman and a man. At first they were completely dim, but soon their silhouettes had horizontal rainbow stripes projected on them. I asked them repeatedly if they were my dream guide, and after that they left. I freed myself from standing still and walked through the doorway. It was an office-like room with a circular table in the middle. The lighting wasn't bright, but wasn't all the way dim -- the best way I can describe it was a blue overcast. On the central table and possibly throughout the office were full-sized Christmas trees (not the ones you put on tables as decorations). There were 20-30 people (workers?) sitting around the central table and at other desks along the walls which had large '50s era computers and control desks from a disaster movie lining them. There was an older lady who either had white hair or was bald. I got the feeling she was mean. I asked her if she was my dream guide and she responded with a scowl (I don't remember her saying anything -- possibly she mouthed something and didn't verbalize it?). I screamed "More Lucidity Now!". I don't remember the dream getting noticebly more vivid, but the old woman looked physically hurt after I said it. I screamed it again, and each time I screamed it, she got angrier and her face started running with blood from her scalp. Despite this, she seemed alright and she wasn't directly confrontational with me (she either walked off or faded out -- I can't remember). I believe this dream came from watching The Santa Clause (1 & 2) with my family.

The next dream, I was in a large, dimly lit brick room (not red brick, this was more like the beige brick of an old Italian house) with an open window. I maneuvered out of it and sat on the ledge, then reached above where I knew there would be a broom (I hadn't planned this or thought it out -- this sort of makes me think that the beginning of this could have been a dream *about* having a lucid dream rather than a lucid dream, but when I awoke I was convinced it was lucid the whole time!). Looking out, I could see many of these blocky buildings expanding out horizontally. In front of me it seemed like these buildings were actually raised high up because there was a sort of drop off point with a ~100ft radius. I grabbed the broom and flew down off the windowsill. It felt amazing! I remember trying to figure out the rules for flying as I was flying, and the actual mechanics changing dynamically -- I could feel my conscious mind working it out -- does the right hand stabilize while the left pulls up? Which hand goes over the other? As I continued to fly I saw below me several stormtroopers infighting and the red lasers of blasters.

Next I had several chained False Awakenings. During each of these, I would wake up and reach out for the chair that was pulled up to the couch irl, and grab the number 2 pencil and 8.5x11 sheet of paper (not there irl). Each time I did this I would write down my previous dreams. The first time, my grandpa stopped by and complained about something (it was still dark out). In the next FA, I wrote down this dream below the spot where (in the last FA) I had written down my previous dreams. But there was nothing written there! This triggered lucidity immediatelyI got up and walked into my parents' bedroom and put my hand over my mom's face (who looked somewhat like the old woman from my Christmas dream). After this, I talked to her about something (perhaps asked if she was my dream guide -- unsure).

In another FA, I got up, walked over to a picture frame that used to be near the kitchen in my childhood, and pressed my face against it. It was a reflective black and I could see other people's faces in it (in white). I tried with some success to summon specific faces, but the final one I was trying trying kept eluding me.

On the whole, these FA-sparked dreams in my house gave me quite a spooky vibe.

After this, there was a semi-lucid fragment where I was walking up a small, cramped staircase, but either my focus was waning and the visuals were dying, or, as part of the dream, there was a large black/white spot covering a portion of my vision like an eclipse.

I wrote in my DJ that I had several other fragments, some of which I felt were lucid, but I can't remember them now. I feel as though I might have returned to the supermarket from the beginning of the night and been lucid then, but I can't remember.

Note: there were points where, during the dreams, I wouldn't necessarily RC or spot a dream sign and then realize I was dreaming -- rather it was like I was lucid the whole time and I simply willed myself into a participatory role. This was an interesting feeling.

Because I'm unsure about the validity of some of these dreams, I'm going to mark the lucid count for this night as 4, which is amazing for me! I'm still excited about this two days later. Happy dreaming!
    2. Hogwarts Hufflepuff Challenge! 8-29-11

by , 09-28-2011 at 01:09 AM (Mancon's Wild and Crazy Adventures in the Dream World)
Hi everyone! I haven't been posting in my DJ for a LOOOOONG time, and feel really bad. I got out of it, and need to get back in. I will be starting again today (Permanently this time!)

I woke up around 4 AM and attempted a WILD. I got into SP and saw HI of floating door handles around me. I used VILD to get me right into a dream outside of Hogwarts.

It was early morning outside at Hogwarts, around 6 AM. I could feel the crisp, cold air on my skin. It felt nice. I looked around, and noticed this dream was extremely vivid. I noticed tiny things like bugs flying around, the texture of every little thing, and all the vivid colors.

I started to walk towards the entrance to Hogwarts. I pushed the large, wooden door open and stepped inside. A few people were walking down the halls. They all looked like they were in a hurry for something.

I looked down at myself, and noticed I was wearing a bright orange robe. My skin was very tan, and I felt very short. I quickly changed into a Hufflepuff robe with a flick of my wand.

My wand was a dark green color, and was mossy. It had many details, and tiny bumps on it. I walked down a white marble hallway, and decided to complete the "Learn and perform Alohomora on a locked door" task.

I summoned a short person, who looked like a wise elf. I always imagine the best teachers to look like elves. I told him I would like to know how to perform Alohomora.

His eyes were twinkling (literally), and he told me to draw the shape of a key in the air with my wand, and then point it at any locked door and say "Alohomora!". He grabbed my arm, and we flashed into a dark blue room filled with wooden doors. He told me to choose a door, and then he disappeared.

I looked around, and one particular door caught my eye. It had an engraving of an owl on it. The owl was moving, just like most pictures in Hogwarts. I went over to it and drew a key into the air. I could see the outline of it. I pointed my wand at the door, and the outline of the key started moving towards it. The owl caught the outline and the door slowly creaked open.

There was nothing on the other side! I slowly walked into it, and started to feel a pins and needles sensation all around my body. The next thing I knew, I was standing in a tall room filled with owls. There were all kinds of owls. Barn owls, great horned owls, snowy owls, etc.

A barn owl gracefully landed on my shoulder, and whispered to me "Look up, you will find all the ingredients to create an aging potion, on that platform with a cauldron." I thanked the owl, and looked up. There was a floating platform in the middle of the air about 80 feet up.

I super jumped onto the platform and could feel a cold wind blowing in my face. On the platform I saw an eyeball, a book, and a green marker. I picked up the book, but it was blank. I slowly dropped it into the black cauldron. White smoke came out of it, and I heard a banging noise. I picked up all the other items and put it in the cauldron.

When I was done putting the last ingredient in, a cup appeared in front of it, filled with green liquid. I picked it up, and slowly brought it to my lips. It tasted like a sour green apple! I loved it! I drank as much as I could, but I forgot it was an aging potion!

My legs started to feel weak, and I could see a white beard growing out of my chin. I started to look exactly like Dumbledore! A cane appeared by my feet, but when I bent down to get it, I fell! Oh my god I hate being old I said to myself.

I used my wand to make me look and feel young again. The transformation to become young was slow, but felt good. Owls were still flying all around me.

I couldn't remember if there was any more Hufflepuff tasks but I did remember one Universal task! I held out my wand and said "Accio...broomstick!" I felt cold wind all around me and a broomstick flew into my hand.

I cautiously got onto it. It was little bigger than I expected (width wise). Right when I sat down it zoomed forward, and I had a hard time controlling it and hanging on! All the owls looked up and surrounded me. They grew hands and guided me to safety.

Once I got to the ground I decided to try it again. I got on it, and nothing happened. I pointed it up, and it shot up! When I pointed it right, it went right and when I pointed it left it zoomed left! I looked for any windows or doors to fly out of, but couldn't find any. Just this long room filled with owls. It didn't occur to me I could just teleport out since it was a dream.

I flew around the room for a couple minutes, when I fell of the broomstick! It was so unexpected, I just fell and hit the ground fast!
I woke up, and could see that someone turned on my fan in the middle of the night.
    3. Harry Potter and the Surf

      DILD + DEILD

      Recall: decent

I was able to practice flying with a broomstick. I had good control and alright speed. I wish I could go a little faster and I still had trouble getting into space.

I started out as a cop driving around. There was someone else in the passenger seat. I come to a red light, but I don't want to stop. I realize I can just turn on the sirens and go through. While I am looking for the light switch, I blaze right through the intersection. Like 3 seconds later I find it. There are only 2 buttons on the center council and one is the lights.

As I flip the siren on, a guy ahead of me in the other lane stops so I can pass. This is a pretty good deal. Then another cop behind me sees my siren and turns his on too. I am worried that he will find out I have no real reason to be using the lights. Further down the road there is an entrance to a tunnel. It is blocked off by cops; there appears to have been an accident. I add my car to the road block and exit the car.

As I get out, I somehow become lucid. First step: find me some bitties. I am walking into the tunnel and there is an area next to the road where people are standing. The tunnel is shaped like (l-). The hyphen is an area with no road. So I go over and find a girl. I tell her that we should find someplace to go. I head back to my car because I think it will be more private. However, we get in, and there are people around. The back of the car has very large windows and people are just walking around outside it. I decide to take this moment to try using a lucid pill. I reach into my pocket and pull out a little capsule. I break it in half and eat the white, powdery contents.

We try a few more cars with no luck. There are people everywhere. Eventually we find a small yellow table on top of something. It is a child's toy table that is raised up on some platform. I decide to screw the privacy and go ahead right there. I am bigger than usual and once I am in, she giggles. Someone on DV said to focus on your breathing to help stay in the dream during sex. I take deep breaths and try to mimic my breathing while asleep (not sure why). I only get 2 thrusts in before the dream fades to black. I can still feel her back on my hands.

      DEILD

I return to the tunnel and decide to leave. I remember that I wanted to try flying with a broomstick. At the entrance of the tunnel, resting against the wall, is a beat up looking broom. It has worn away red paint on the handle, and you can see the underlying white. I grab the broom and expect a force to thrust it forward. It does, and I'm off. I am not riding the broom, more having it pull me. I have my arms fully extended holding onto the broom, and my body is still stretched out. It was kind of like superman flying, but while holding a broom.

I have pretty good control. I can fly laterally without losing altitude as well as turn on command. My speed felt like 40 mph, not super speed but fast enough to go places. I try to go faster by imagining a stronger pull by the broom, no luck. I pull up and see how high I can go. I still stall out before reaching space. Eventually I turn and I am somehow over this vast ocean. I am flying low over the waves and they are HUGE. I want to try and fly through the waves so I do. I can feel them slow me down a bit, but I am still cruising through them. I never come out wet on the other side.

After a few waves I come upon some guys surfing. I wanted to try this out. I didn't have surfboard, but I had a broom. Good enough, right? A big swell hits and I try to stand on the broom. It takes me a second to balance myself, but I get it. The broom is backwards with the brushes pointing forwards. I surf for like 50 ft. until the wave dies. I get back down and wait for another. This one is even bigger. I get up again and ride it out. The other surfers can accelerate away from the wave somehow. I can't, the wave has to keep pushing me forward. We hit the shore, and I leave to do other things.

I somehow end up indoors and I want to try to fly to space. There is a little gap between the flights of stairs in this large, wooden staircase. I fly through the first few floors but then the gap is gone. I have go up flight by flight and eventually decide it isn't worth it.

I ditch the broom and somehow end up with a wand. I want to try some spells. I yelled the first spell that came to mind and pointed at the ceiling overhead. "PETRIFICUS TOTALIS." A large hole blasts open in the ceiling. I realize that the words I'm saying don't really matter. As long as I have the expectations and intent, it will do what I want. I remember stupify actually does that, though, so I give it a go. "STUPIFY." Another large blast blows away a section of the wall. I am pretty excited with these spells. I start walking away and I pass Jonah. I feel stupid yelling Harry Potter spells around him, so I keep quite. I don't think he heard me earlier. I keep walking and the dream fades.

I "wake up" in my bed and try to DEILD. I am worried that if I don't write down this dream, I may forget it. It was pretty cool. I am pretty sure I can still remember if I DEILD one more time, so I go for it. However, it is really an FA as I hear an old man's voice. He is telling me to write down my dreams and won't let me DEILD. RIght after he finishes his little speech, I really wake up.
    4. April 16 2011: Me VS the five janitors

by , 04-18-2011 at 07:10 AM (The path to Lucid Mastery)
      Non-Lucid

I haven't remembered any dreams for a while and I didn't have the time to post the two I remembered last weekend, so I'll post both of them today. The first one was pretty cool, even though it wasn't a lucid dream.

When the dream began I was crawling through a ventilation shaft. After some crawling I found myself in a room with a staircase leading to an attic. There were five people in the room, busy cleaning up. I assumed they were janitors and I sneaked upstairs, trying to remain out of view. I failed miserably though, as one of them spotted me and went upstairs, following me.

When he got upstairs he grabbed a broom that was standing against the nearest wall and thrust it at me. I dodged it, took a quick step towards him, grabbed his left arm and flung him around and let go, smashing him into a pile of cardboard boxes.

He didn't appear out of the stack again but then the other four came upstairs. Because there were four of them against one of me in a cramped space like this, I was in the advantage. I kept throwing them in each other's path, hindering them alot but they kept on coming. Then they got out of the way and surrounded me in a square as large as possible, and the first janitor crawled out of the pile of now wrecked boxes again.

He started fighting me again, the others doing nothing but keeping me from running away. He was much tougher than the last time when I easily threw him aside so when I first grabbed him and tried to toss him aside he almost threw me away instead. The fight lasted quite some time but neither of us was able to get the advantage over the other. At the end I got tired of fighting and broke through the protective circle, throwing two of the other janitors aside. I leapt into another ventilation shaft before they could chase me. After some more crawling through the ventilation shafts I woke up.
    5. Broomstick Flying

      by , 06-27-2010 at 08:47 PM (Hidden's Dream Journal)
      Back to last night's dreams.

A bunch of my classmates and I were travelling by broomstick. I waited in line for the bathroom, which turned out to be just a little plastic toilet seat with water in it. Then I went to look up a map, but I didn't end up using it. Instead I just traveled with my friend, who said she knew the way.

At some point I became lucid. I thought about going to Shibuya, but instead I was like, "ehh, screw it, this is fun" and kept flying around. I told myself I'd go to Shibuya later (and of course I didn't). There was something about my cousins too. This dream went on for quite a while, but I can't remember the specifics. I do remember tying balloons to my bed so that flying would be easier.
