    1. Two in one

by , 03-08-2016 at 10:44 PM (Here be dragons)
It was a very interesting night, as in it was almost stereotypical of my sleeping pattern. I woke up the first time after three hours of sleep, felt back asleep for one hour and a half, woke up with a dream, felt back asleep for one hour, woke up with another, more vivid dream. I would probably could have induced a lucid if I didn't have to get up for uni.

Dream one: I'm with my sister in a beast of a car, more of a SUV really, with heavily tinted windows. My sister is the one driving, and she has a rather sportive approach to it. It's sunny outside, and it's pretty warm inside the car. The trafic we're in is pretty heavy, and she's trying to go into a parking lot on a hill, that looks like the one of my older university. It has the same tree that shadows the grass just enough for flowers to bloom. My sister pulls up next to another black, enourmous car. I take a quick look to the other car and notice that the driver is still sitting in it. I recognize the hadsome man I've see before and get out of the car to softly rap on his side window. My sister is annoyed at me but he looks up and smiles. I walk a little away so he can get out of his car as my sister starts going up the hill. We go behind her in a friendly silence.

Dream two: I'm in a house with other girls. It's more of a wooden cabin, with wooden furniture and a gigantic, open chimney, with a roaring fire and a roasting apparatus. Looking out from the windows I can see snow, and open fence, and the fiery orange of dusk. We're trapped in. There's spiders crawling on the walls, big, shiny, sickly things glittering in the fire light. There's a big oak table in front of the fire, with a empty metal plate and a big carving knife waiting. The corner of the room are shadowing, but not enough to hide the bones laying there.
I suddently understand that I'm in a witch hunt. And she's hungry.
A tall, hunched over hag enters the cabin. She's not much taller than me, but here proportion are off somehow, with longs, gnarly arms and a big hunch. She's wrapped in dirty rags and a long dress, her skin looks like bark and her hair like white lichen. All the girls cower and try to hide from the witch. I see her grab her knife and a girl's arm. She starts to drag her to the fire, but the girl struggles and manage to escape the hag graps for a second. It throws the witch off balance, and I jump in to push her into the fire. She let out a shrill scream as the flames engulfe her, her skin blistering and smoking.
    2. See the devil, speak the devil, hear the devil.

I'm in a nodescript house, sitting at the kitchen table with another girl and her mother. They're talking while prepping diner. I'm not really helping, mostly I listen to their chatter and the sound of cooking. The room is sunny, with long rays of lights cutting the walls.
The night falls, and we're in a park, under the streets lamps. There's a man with us, with short brown hair and a pâle, blandly handsome face. He's talking to the mother, very close to her. The girl is frightened, hiding behind me.
Her mother disappears and the street lamp over him goes out. He laughs and introduces himself as Lucifer. He moves for the girl, but I take her arms and run. We go from light to light, until I have enough and pull a knife. We turn around and the girl grabs the man.
Spoiler for don't fear the devil:
    3. Water city.

by , 02-16-2016 at 09:45 PM (Here be dragons)
I'm riding a horse, pushing it to run through an old, decaying city of stones. It's build over water, and we have to jump over water canals to reach my objective. It's a tower of crumbling stones, half covered with wines. I get off my horse and get in.
It's not abandonned; in fact, there are people here, a family. They furnished the house with drapes, flowing veils and scattered cushions, all very colorful and standing out again the gray stones. It does little to protect us from the damp, chilly atmosphere, but it's cheerful. I get up some crumbling stairs, ending up in a bedroom with one of the wall destroyed, opening into a breath taking vista of the lake the city is build on. I feel tired, and lay down on some cushions.
I wake up from the panicked call of the mother of the house, begging me to take her daughter and flee. I get up and slip on a bright blue t-shirt big enough to dress a lumberjack and pull the girl with me to the fallen wall. She doesn't thing twice and jump in the lake. I take a more safe approch and climb down the wall before getting into the water. My plan is to swim discreetly to the border of the town, where my horse is waiting.
    4. False Idol

I'm at a groscerie store, it's in a old brick warehouse, with long rectangular windows. It's nicely cold inside with stack of brightly colored fruits and vegetables. I'm not alone in here; there's a teenage girl dressed to the nine in grungy, gothic clothes, with matching black lipstick and rebellious attitude. There's a groupe of men dressed in what's look like armies fatigues, they seem world weary and dangerous. And of course there's the cashier, a slimy, wannabe womanizer in a open collar shirt with slicked back dark hair and a gold chain dangling in the tuff of hair of his chest.*

The girl go to pay for her stuff and he hand here a small booklet with a black cover. I go after her to pay for my things and he and me a similar booklet, only mine looks like his little sister made it. I walk out of the back of the store to a park with gravelled paths and a fontain. I read the booklet; it's telling me that I'm some sort of paranormal creature, and that I'm both descending and under the tutelage of a godess named Asthatée. I get angry reading, telling that it's a bunch of horseshit. The dangerous-looking men are getting out behind me and trying to calm me down, telling me that they are used to that kind of things, but I blown them off and go to the cashier to tell him that he shouldn't hand out shit like this to teenager. He absolutly flips out and jump me, his hand turning into claw and going for my neck. I run away under one of the window, and one of the man, a hunter, manage to get on the ledge and use it to pour liquid fire on the enraged cashier, making him melt. Another of those men got caught in the fight and is badly burned; I look for something to soothe his pain. I spot a bottle behind the desk of the now deseased cashier: it's micronised milk. I grab it and pour some on the burns of my savior; it seem to work and he's relieved.

      *classy act, this one.

      I'm doing a mini WBTB
My hopnalogic imageries turn into random numbers and I start to loose feeling of my body, I decide to try to WILD by keeping my mind awake by counting. I start, going backward, and remark that the number I see are going from random to be the one I'm thinking about. I start to have a rocking feeling, from left to right, stronger and stronger. I wait for a peak and push my dream body out. I fall out of bed and grab the side of it to get back up. I'm in the dark, I can still can feel my physical eyelids so I keep my eyes closed. I follow the edge of the bed with my and to find the widow and climb out. The air is a little colder but I'm still in the dark, so I walk away from the window, keeping my hand on the wall to guide myself. As I go on, my vision slowly comes to me and after a few steps I can see the front of my house, looking as usual in the morning light. I let go of the wall and go through the portal, and I'm suddently on a stone terrace-sort-of-balcony overlooking a big french formal garden, with a beautiful fontain in the center, green lawns and carefully trimmed bushes. The light is a little grey, the sky is overcast; the whole garden is encircled by tall, dark green trees, a mix of oaks and pines.
I find the stairs going down in the garden and call Eli, my voice ringing around me and sounding both softer and more clear that usual. I end up having to pull him in, using the hand behind my back technique. While he is here, he looks around twelve. We start to go down the stairs, and I tell him that seeing him like that innerve me a little. He doesn't seen to get it at first, his face scrunching up in concentration, then he suddently start to grow up at incredible speed, losing his equilibrium and falling on top of me. He's too heavy for me to keep my own equilibrium and I start falling too. I manage to sit down on the stair and he rest against me, a little dazed but more present in the dream that before.

I temporaly lose my vision, and when it come back I'm alone on the stairs. I call Eli again, mentally this time, and he tells me that he is in another house close by, with his vampire sister, and that she has kidnapped someone, menacing to bite her. I know that vampire usually don't kidnapped people during daytime to feed; for those who do, it's more of a cry for help, to be placed in a etablishement that can help them. I recognize this sudden knowledge as a dream set up and play along for fun. I go to the house, it's a small white manor nested in old, slender trees that looks like birches, and the lawn around it is losing the battle against a soft, dark green moss, while the gravelled path in front of it need another layer badly. The trees filter the light, it's tinged green and very subdued. There's already a specialized team here, circling the house and waiting for the special agent (that would be little old me!). It's a different kind of fun to be aware that it's a dream while playing along. I'm fitted with the same equipement as the other, a protective vest with big scratchs and a utility belt, then go inside. It's a pretty house, with painted white panelling and a wooden floor, but it's unkept and dirty with narrow, claustrophobic allyways and narrow, talls widows half hidden behind tattered drapes. I find the vampire and arrest her, putting here in cuffs while Eli keep her calm. We walk her outside to the team. She cringes in the sunlight and they quickly put her in the back of a car and thanks me before leaving. I'm alone with Eli again, and enjoy the silence and the mossy smell coming from the soil. I shred some of the equipment and lean against the house. Eli comes close to me and starts to tell me that "that actress is pretty bitchy, that's why she got a small role, nobody wants to remember her." I kiss him to stop him, and he is suddenly very silent and very "here". He looks around with me, taking in the scenery. I warp a arms around him with a smile.

I wake up in a false awakening, tangled in Eli arms and the darkness of my bedroom and free my arm to write down some keywords about this dream and the one before, then I wake up for good.

That was a good experience in tulpa dream lucidity
    6. Nightwalkers and Sun lady

by , 10-20-2015 at 02:01 PM (Here be dragons)
I am walking up stairs in a dusty, old building with long, slanted windows letting in long rays of golden sunshines, thick as honey. I reach the top, a small cellar. It's already crowned in here; there is a strange bed made of polished, light green glass fashioned in a half cylinder with a thick blanket and a fluffy pillow in light cream. Sitting on the edge of it is a young, beautiful indian woman in a full, red and gold sari with stunning jewellery, almost as if she's ready for her wedding, her hair are glossy and almost black.
With her, standing a little on the side is a rather no descript man with brown short hair and sturdy clothes. Both look to the other side of the room, where Thor himself is towering, standing next to a pecuniar contraption: eight oversized hourglasses made of crystal and bronze, each one mounted on a mechanical bronze arm. as I watch it, the last one of the hourglass finishes, and the arm gracefully lift it over the other and put it back at the beginning of the line, flipping it over in the process. I feel like it's a clock, measuring daylight.
The brown haired man start talking to me, pulling my attention back to him. He is speaking about the lady, telling me that she is incredibly important, and that she has to be protected. As he talks, she carefully lay down on the bed, arranging her sari around herself. The man bring down the top part of the bed, closing it. It now looks like a bottle washed out at sea, with a complicated system of glass pipes coming out of the neck. He pours the content of a bottle on a rag and stuff the rag in one of the pipes.
Thor starts talking to me, he is passionate about the subject, telling me about nightwalkers wanting to take the sun lady away. While he says that, he grab the last hourglass, still with a little sand left, and flip it over. I realise that the light was fading and is back in full force, bathing the cellar in thoses long honey sunlight rays. The brown haired man locks the bed with a yin-yang seal, The lady is in a enchanted sleep. I look back to Thor; he is slighty tired, as moving the hourglass meant changing the course of the sun in the sky. He slowing breath out, the sun shining on his face, and instead of air it's a cloud of sand that get out of his mouth, the same sand that is in the hourglass.
    7. Groundhog Dream

Didn't have a lot of time to write down my dream this morning, so not much detail for this one.

I'm a man trapped in a decaying building, forced to loop through a senario I have no control on. I have to make the sadistic choice between leaving this place or freeing a woman chained to a wall, and each time I make a decision the dream loops and i'm back at the begining, looking for the woman in the endless rooms. I finally decide no to leave, but not to free her even and a black cat appear on a caged bed to stare at me.
    8. I which I'm a crime-fighting Charlotte "Lottie" La Bouff

by , 09-23-2015 at 01:27 PM (Here be dragons)
Didn't do a proper WBTB due to my comfy bed. Bad bed, no blanket for you. Tonight I'm drinking a big glass of water before crashing in, that'll make me get up

I'm in a brothel that is in a small castle/manor, everything is in perfectly restored and look brand new rather that antique. The period is Louis XIV, very intricate and lovely, if overbearing, the saving grace being that everything save for the sparse furniture is in very light, delicate color, pastel blue, pink and orange, with long windows covered in veils. It's dark outside, probably at night, but I can see the flash of car light from time to time. The employees of this fine etablissement are all wearing period clothes, it's gorgeous. The owner is in a pale blue dress that span for at least 3 meter on each side of her, with a powdered wig full of ringlets. She is not paying any attention to me, probably becaue she's very flushered about the arriving of a man she call "the king" and about the girls she want prepped for him. I'm wary of this man, and my feeling are comfirmed when a man in tight and a pale golden valet uniform ask her want's going to happen if one of the girl started denying him or being mouthy. She tells him with a mix of coldness and incaring-ness "There will be a bit of a beating for the bitch, even if it's not dinking night."
I suddently know that I'm infiltrated here, probably to dismantle this brothel, but I need to protect the girls. I walk in the room they are prepping for the king, with is very large with a hight celling and a lovely embroidered cloth wallpaper in a arious soft hues of green, the same cloth used for the bed canopy and sheet the armchairs. I ask the girl present to give me a dress. She show me a closet and keep making the gigantic bed, looking a little fratic. I open the closet, which is absolutly packet with dresses that look really modern, but I pull a dark green one with golden embroidery. On the hanger it's knee-lengh, slightly fitted with a ronded collar and short sleeves, but when I put it on it turn into a period dress. I strat putting on air and snobbily ask a male employee where the hair dresser is. He promptly start panicking and run off to find him. I walk out behind him look as brattish as I can, and right outside is a small, graying, bended over man that look a little like a frightened mouse in his dark outfit. I toss my hair*, and tell him "You better not be late!" before walking in a bathroom. I start searching it, looking for something that could help me protecting the girls, then I woke up.

      * As my hair almost reach my knees and are thick and curly, he looked even more scared, which is the usual reaction I elect in hairdressers

I do look a little like Charlotte La Bouff from the Princess and the Frog, with long brown hair and pale skin.

    9. #210. Monsters Under the Bed

by , 09-04-2015 at 09:52 PM (Things to Run Away From Really Fast)
I'm looking for a place to stay for the next few weeks while I take a course in a new city. I know that a certain motel/hostel/dorm has spots available for students, but they also fill up fast. So I head over there as soon as I'm in town.

Luckily, there is a place available. Unluckily, it's haunted by the victim of a mean-spirited (and presumably lethal) prank by members of a fraternity or something. We don't actually have those here, but it was a group of guys and they were terrible people.

So now the ghost violently murders people who stay in the dorms.

      There's a woman screaming.

I'm running towards her as she's being dragged into a fluffy duvet or pile of pillows. I really should emphasize that they were unabashedly evil pillows, with the electrifying reek of corrupted darkness emanating from them. I grab the woman by the elbows, and she tells me No, it will get you, too!

I can't hold her, and my arm ends up dragged into the rift. Excruciating, electric pain arcs up my right arm (the kind of pain that you only feel in dreaming, where it overwhelms everything and it hurts but doesn't feel like pain in waking life). I try to pull my arm away, but there's resistance, sucking me into the rift.

      I rip my arm away—

But the bleeding, rotten darkness is still everywhere and there's nowhere to go—

I wake up. I reality check, tapping my fingers against the sheets. One-two-three-four-five. Genuinely awake. Damn ghost thinks it's gonna get the better of me, huh?

I slip back into dreaming. I'm back in the dorm room, and it's quiet. Shadows whisper along the ceiling and in the dark corners of the room. I hold out a hand, and the shadows still.

The ripping, tearing thing leaps into me, but I'm ready this time. I channel the pain, force the thing out of my body until it faces me, forced to its knees on the floor.

Let's solve your problem. My terms.
