    1. 20-11-08 Cyberpunk Skyscraper, Giant Tsunami

      by , 11-08-2020 at 10:40 PM
In one dream, I was inside a giant skyscraper in a city much like the one from Cyberpunk 2077. I think it was a corporate HQ. The building was an arcology, meaning it had restaurants, parks, supermarkets and living space - and you never really had to leave it for any reason. It was so tall, that if you looked out of the window near the top floors, you couldn't even see the rest of the city down below - just hills and mountains outside of the city limits. I remember being really afraid of heights at some point, and being too afraid to move in the irrational fear that I would "tip over the building".

The next dream was horrifying. It started out nicely enough. I was driving around with two guys and a girl in a bikini who I really liked. They carried around a trailer, which was bright red and made by Ferrari. One of the guys said he regretted buying it, as (as I expected) maintenance was super expensive with even small components costing an obscene amount to replace. I remember standing outside the vehicle, leaning on something as I watched a beautiful sunset over the sea. I noticed the horizon was oddly high in the sky, but I didn't think too much of it. Then, I did notice it - the horizon was actually an absolutely titanic tsunami (easily 3,000 ft tall) coming straight towards us. I immediately went into flight mode, and ran away from it like a madman. We were in Antwerp harbor area, and the main port authority building was a couple hundred feet away. A modern, concrete building, perhaps strong enough to withstand the impact. As I bolted towards the building, a loud siren (like an air raid siren) went off and a voice declared a state of emergency as the wave approached the mainland. Very apocalyptic. I reached the big glass double doors of the building. The wave was now very close, towering over everything and blotting out the sun. It moved very fast. My nephew was also there, all of a sudden. I tried the doors, but they were locked. "They're leaving us here to die!" my nephew shouted in a panic. I grabbed my badge and scanned it, and the doorlocks clicked open. The dream ended there. The day before this dream, I watched a very old VHS-tape. It had a short trailer for an "how will the world end" documentary which featured, among others, footage of a tsunami.

    2. Tall shape on high building fragment | [16.08.2020]

Tall shape on high building fragment
A white, tall shape on a skyscraper. It might be day. I look down. Maybe the shape is organic and alive.
    3. High up in the sky

      by , 08-12-2016 at 03:36 PM
D1 - I am in some woods that lead down to a river, on the banks of the river are a small group of people. I offer a boy there a bar of chocolate that i procured on my way. The people are dressed in medieval clothing, but the chocolate bar wrapper and all is modern and large.

      WBTB
D2 - The boy tells me of a place where we can get more food, if we are clever. There is a college nearby where students often play a game with the locals, throwing paper aeroplanes at each other through the dormitory windows. If we go there at night we may be able to sneak in. We get there and sure enough there are two undergraduates there who are late because they are getting changed from some sporting activity.
When they open the dorm window to play paper aeroplane throwing, I climb across a para-pit joining the building and onto the roof.
From there I sneak into the building.

      WBTB
D3 - I am now inside the large college buildings which look edwardian or later, mostly stone with elegant windows. There is some do going on but I am in a side room. I go to look down from one of the windows and see the feathery leaves and branches of a tree.
The tree looks oriental. It is like a jack in the beanstalk tree and goes down and down and down. I feel a jolt of fear as I realise how high up I am. I am as high up as the sky, looking down seemingly forever. I roll away from the window feeling I cannot stand for a moment. I go to find the boy who is eating and tell him of the tree. He comes and looks.

    4. Ocean Breastfeeding Frag and the Tallest Ladder

      by , 05-26-2016 at 01:22 PM (Krista's Dream Journal)
      Dream - Lucid

I was looking at the ocean. There was a big boat with my friend Tara on it. I needed to breastfeed my baby, and she did it for me? Not with her own milk but with mine? I then saw a note in front of my eyes saying "breastfed this cycle". I then saw myself in the ocean, topless, with relieved, unengorged breasts. I made a joke with Tara saying it couldn't have been the baby who relieved my breasts, so it must have been her. She was not at all amused by this joke; she got super pissed.

      ~

I was at an amusement part, Disney World I believe. I wanted to go on all the rides, but knew I couldn't go on any crazy roller coasters since I'm pregnant. I thought maybe I could go on some milder coasters or simulators instead.

Dream skip. I was outside with this GIANT ladder. It was super tall and had a platform to stand on and look out on the top. I was carrying this ladder. I put it down. Something about my dad and me climbing it. I had gotten to the top at some point.

I then remember being at the bottom and feeling a little bruise on my butt. I pulled my pants down to look, and I had a HUGE dark bruise between my right buttcheek and leg. I "remembered" it was from falling from the ladder at some point.

I then remember seeing it snow. It had stopped earlier after a dusting, but started again; I saw it sticking to the roads. The sky was grey.

I then was alone in the snow with the ladder. I was putting it down to climb it. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to put it down and have it stay steady for me to climb. I was sinking it into the snow-covered ground, hoping I could sink it in enough to hold it in place. I kept feeling like it wasn't steady enough, and couldn't tell if I just had it sunk into the snow, or if it was sunk in the ground. The bottom rung was covered in snow, and some guy made a comment about it, like I wasn't supposed to skip that rung. There wasn't much I could do though, as it was snowing. I started to climb. I was terrified, but I did it anyway (IWL not a fan of heights). It felt steady enough. I kept going higher and higher. At some point, I remember starting to climb down.

    5. Fear of heights

      by , 11-12-2015 at 06:28 AM
I dreamed my boyfriend and I took his friend's 12 year old son to a theme park. I needed to get somewhere in the park (maybe the bathroom?) and the only way I could find was a very thin ledge along the edge of a cliff, with a sheer drop of hundreds of feet. The ledge was only maybe a foot wide at some points, sometimes with no hand-holds, sometimes with a very rickety railing, and a whole bunch of people were also trying to inch along it at the same time. I was shocked by how dangerous it was.

Anyway, once I reached my destination, I realized that there was another path there that was a nice, wide dirt path through kind of a swamp area.
    6. Thief!

      by , 11-06-2015 at 12:33 AM
I managed to remember a dream I had the other night.

In the dream, I was a guy. And I was working with my best friend (also a guy) on a particular job, although I don't completely remember what his part in it was.

I was some kind of con man. I was trying to get into some sort of nobleman's quarters, for some reason. I remember he was kind of a shithead.

The architecture of the place was very... Sorr of Tudor... With some fantasy elements thrown in.

I got in... But he returned while I was there. I tried to go hide in another room, which was like a bathroom, but he knew I was there and sent guards after me.

I jumped out the window, and managed to make my way down by jumping from stone window ledge to window ledge. But I got to a point where I couldn't, where it was just a sheer drop to the ground, and I was going to have to jump and hope I landed alright.

I somehow made it, and I was in an area behind the mansion that wasn't quite a backyard. There was a sort of chicken wire fence and high grass. It kind of reminds me of the area behind an apartment complex where a friend used to live when I was little (I got into an argument with her there, in real life, about whether or not you can walk on rainbows. I was heavily in favor of "yes, you can". No rainbow in this dream, though, just me running away from guards.

As for last night, I vaguely recall something about riding the bus. But that's it.
    7. Elevator to the Moon and Driving Jimmy to Pageant

      by , 02-24-2015 at 07:49 PM
07-18-2014 -- Three tonight of varying detail. The third is the hardest to remember, though there are a couple of interesting images in it. As one point I am in some sort of magical elevator or something. It is not in a building, but it is carrying us to a point about as high as the tallest building on Earth. When we get there, somebody is commenting, amazed on how high it is, and I am explaining that's nothing, yet, as we suddenly shoot up even faster, until we are hovering just a few thousand meters above the moon.

I feel like I am missing a lot, because the next thing I know, I seem to be driving Jimmy home, but his house is the Pageant house (or right next to it) and I have never taken him home there, before. Marilyn is along for the ride, and we are having some kind of discussion about repairing a bike, and how much I want to fix it, and as Marilyn is commenting on how they ought to let me fix it, I seem to be half-riding it, half walking it, as the two kids walk along side of me.

Meanwhile, they are discussing how their cleaning lady comes up from just down the street, and I am riding on the wrong side of the street to leave space in case she comes riding along, and Jimmy is laughing at me and trying to explain to me that he doesn't think little old ladies ride bikes, while I know from watching English stuff on TV that at least some little old ladies most certainly do! But he claims she is on a walker, and walks to the house.

Meanwhile, we reach the last couple of houses on the block, and the second from the end is the Lane house. They have a large sign (probably about four by five feet) made out of that plastic stuff woven with yarn, praising something that Marilyn has accomplished. It seems that the neighbor in the final house is into building things, inventing things, construction, and as a part of that, crafts. He has a huge American flag in his yard, made from the same kind of materials.

As we approach the house, Marilyn spots a dog in the neighbor's yard, who looks like a slightly more white version of Zorro, and is going nuts about it, while the neighbor comes over to talk about some stuff he plans to do, working on the two houses. He also makes mention of expecting to have slight problems from the neighbor in what used to by the house I lived in on Pageant, because Rosemary (who in the dream owns the place) is going to want to be included, but won't want to pay the very low costs for materials. Interesting.
    8. Fragments - world tree and kittens

      by , 04-19-2013 at 05:57 PM
there were two kittens - one orange one that looked like a cat i used to have (sammy). He got loose and I freaked out. Eventually got him back but he was a little more brown than orange. mostly dirt, but some a natural darkening of his fur as he grew

Had climbed up to the top of this really tall mountain. There was a lot of fog around the edges, so must have been really high up. Was there in a largish group of people (hiking or something I guess). The view was beautiful. The mountain was a giant world tree - the branches running off into the distance. I almost fell once. I was overcome with fear at the edge of a drop (we were really, really high up. Couldn't see anything below us - just a kind of foggy distance).

there was an earlier dream with the tag 'captivity', but its gone now.

    9. walking on the subway tracks

      by , 08-01-2011 at 12:28 PM
      Good morning, everybody.

      Dream #1

I was on a somewhat crowded subway platform. I got onto a train, possibly without being quite sure that the train was the one I needed.

The train went for a little way, then I realized that it red the wrong train. A few other people realized the train was the wrong one. I thought we'd all have to go back the way we'd come and get on the right train from the stop we'd left grim.

But now a few black women and I were all out, walking on the tracks of an elevated, above-ground portion of the train's route. It was dark night, and we could barely see anything. One of the women may have had a flashlight with her.

Apparently we were looking for the correct train. We'd just gotten off our previous train through something like an auxiliary door while the train had been stopped. Apparently, once we found the correct train, it would somehow stop again, and we'd get on through another auxiliary door.

But as we walked along the tracks, I got more and more afraid. It was dark, and you couldn't see anything outside of the beam of the weak flashlight. Plus, the floor of the elevated platform seemed to be made out of really cheap, brittle plastic. As we progressed, it felt like the plastic was breaking more and more under our steps. These elevated tracks were also really high above ground. So I felt like I could break through the plastic floor and fall to my death at any moment.

I wondered how much more of this I could take. I felt bad, because the women I was with didn't seem to be afraid at all. But I was hoping I could get away from them and find a more sensible way of catching a train.

I was now back on a subway platform. The platform was for one of the elevated stops. It felt pretty lonely. I had the feeling that I was here because I'd willed myself to be out of the situation of walking on the tracks. So I was kind of disappointed in myself. I'd obviously let my fear get to me so that I'd ended up in a different situation. I didn't even know if this train was the one I was looking for, anyway.
    10. 4/26/2011 -DEILD in a hotel

      by , 04-27-2011 at 02:42 AM (TheNinja's Dream Journal)
Today was interesting because I had 1: My first actually induced LD and not just random, and 2: My first DEILD!

Note: I had been constantly waking up in the middle of this night.

      Dream 1:
I've just fallen back asleep and am in a really large hotel that is grey and full of elderly people. It must have arount 200 floors and is set up similarly to the Marriott Marquee in Times Square, New York. The only problem is there are random staircases leading up and down floors and the sides to the central area arent guarded with railing to keep people from falling to their deaths (I remember thinking of this as unsafe). I enter a room after jumping over a span from one side to another when I wake up. I decide to try to reenter the dream and within three seconds I am back in the dream, except Lucid. I immediately get extremely excited, and try to stay calm but my excitement builds enormously beyond control (and I mean ridiculously excited and I couldn't stop it) until I wake up.
This was my second lucid dream to end from the sheer excitement of becoming lucid.
    11. 03/11/2011 and 03/21/2011 - "Stack Shack", Fragment

      "Stack Shack"

I was trying to help someone get a lot of shit off of their roof. There was literally a teetering column of random junk towering high on top of the house, completely nonsensically. There was an open bag near the top of the pile, which someone was trying to get down. Finally, I just climbed up onto the high platform of random clothes, furniture, etc; trying to pull the bag down. However, no one would help me get it down without dropping it. (Something told me it was fragile, but I can't remember why.) Everyone was pretty much acting like a bunch of stooges. People were jumping from one spot on the roof to another, and I was pretty sure someone was going to fall through, any time, now. It never happened, though.

Later, I was partying with a bunch of friends, and we were using some battery operated glow-sticks. I remember two girls that I was in the hotel with, and I had invited to dinner. I can't remember who they were, exactly, but I think one of them was LAK.

      03/21/2011
      Fragment

I was deep in the woods. I don't remember exactly what was going on, but I was with someone, and we were being chased by some humanoid creature. It had this alien-ish technology, and was blasting away at us, while we ran for cover. I don't remember ever seeing the weapon, or any bursts of light from the discharge. The only proof that he was actually fire at us were that the trees around us were exploding, sequentially, as if some invisible rounds were blowing the slender trunks apart; missing our fleeing bodies by only a couple of feet at a time.

    12. 02/06/2011 - "Everybody Falls the First Time"

by , 02-08-2011 at 10:40 PM (Oneironaut Zero: Dreamwalker Chronicles)

      02/06/2011
      "Everybody Falls the First Time"

I was outside a house that kind of looked like my grandmother's, on my dad's side. There was an overhang above the front porch, and I had to go back into the bushes to look for something. This porch was infested with spiders, which had made webs that criss-crossed through the small walking space between the bushes and fence, and the deeper I got into this space, the thicker the webbing network became. I had been trying to keep out of contact with these webs, but it was just impossible. When my arms or legs would touch up against the webs, I could feel that they were about the consistency of metallic thread, and I was feeling more and more trapped inside. It got to the point where I wasn't sure I would be able to get back out from behind the bushes, without taking some of these webs out with me. Small spiders dotted the webbing in scattered areas, and I was able to avoid them, for the most part. A friend of mine handed me some sort of cleaning tools - though I don't remember what they were - and I got to work, breaking these webs and spraying whatever spiders I could find.

Randomly, I happened to look to the left, eyes fixed just slightly higher than my head. There, hanging no more than a foot away from my face, was the grand-daddy of all spiders. It was hung with its enormous legs curled up to its softball-sized body - the entire creature probably about the size of a baseball glove. For a moment there, I was paralyzed with fear. I already don't like spiders, and this thing looked like it could strike at any moment, and wrap around my head like a face-hugger from the movie Aliens. Swallowing the terror which was surging through my body like a high-voltage current, I sprayed this monster and swatted him down off of his perch. I then broke out from behind these bushes as fast as I could, and went around to the front. Apparently, I'd done my job, and this spider was dead. Even while it was lying on the ground, motionless, I just couldn't believe the size of this thing. Not missing the chance to document, I pulled out my phone and took a picture of it.

Not long after this, the old woman who lived in this house (who wasn't my grandmother) came home. She was driving an old Caddy, or something similar.Pulling into the garage, the woman slammed into the wall, piercing the home with the grille of her car. She put it in reverse and pulled it back out, and we all ran over to assess the damage. It wasn't too bad, but we were all still wondering WTF she was thinking. We talked to her for a while, and she was a little shaken up, but it turned out she wanted to give it another go. I thought this was a horrible idea, but she was back in the car before I really even thought about saying something. Wasting no time, she slammed on the gas. There was a teenager walking across her driveway, and he had to dive out of the way so the woman wouldn't run him down - which she would have - and the car then disappeared into the garage, followed by an enormous crash.

We ran to the garage, and saw that the car had gone completely into the house, and through the kitchen, debris strewn all around. The woman was ok, but she'd done some major damage to her home. Soon, we were all trying to fix whatever we could help her with. A rack of glass panes were wheeled in, to replace some of the glass cases and windows she'd destroyed, and I noticed that this glass was much stronger than regular glass. Someone told me that it was a special type of glass - which even had a specific name, that I can't remember - and it was the type of glass that they use for those 'sky-walk' things, like at the Grand Canyon, designed to support your weight, when you stand on it and walk out over the gorge.

During this explanation, the dream made an unexpected transition. I was now standing outside of a skyscraper window, hundreds of meters above the ground, perched on one of these panes of glass. The glass plank was only maybe 2x2 ft., and was nowhere near adequate for safely supporting a full-grown man, at such extreme heights. I pulled back and pressed myself against the glass behind me, wondering just what the hell I was doing way up here. Behind me, I noticed that there were some people inside the building. They were encouraging me to jump. That's when I noticed that I was attached to a bungee cord. It seems that I was on a bunge platform, but I had absolutely no intention of jumping.

Across the street was another skyscraper, practically identical to the one I was on. I heard someone scream and looked up above, to the rooftop on the building across from me - which was still hundreds of feet higher than the level I was on. A person had plummetted off of the rooftop and was screaming as they soared down passed my position, careening toward the street far below. Their bungee cord then recoiled, saving them from what would have been certain death. Another person followed, shortly after. These people were obviously braver than I am, because even when I could bring myself to look down, I would throw myself back against the glass, trying to keep myself from tipping over.

One last person hurled himself off of the adjacent building, his trajectory bringing him out a lot further than the others. What I hadn't noticed was that there was another platform on my building, about a dozen feet above my head. This guy had jumped far enough to carry himself across the double-laned gap of road beneath us, just to the side of the building I was on, and slammed down hard, onto the platform above me. I could hear everyone behind me yell "oooooohhhh!!!" The guy - obviously in a lot of pain - was able to slowly shift his body to one side, and just kind of rolled off of the platform. His limp body continued the descent, passing within a few inches from my side, and dropping like a stone, toward the street.Unfortunately, I couldn't resist the urge to track him with my eyes, tilting my head forward just a bit, to see further down toward the street. My body, it seemed, was destined to follow, and I felt myself teeter away from the glass window. I tried to pull my center of gravity backward, but it was too late. Now it was I, who was falling down toward the street, the knot in the pit of my stomach growing exponentially, while the ground rushed up toward me. I don't remember whether or not I screamed, but I wanted to. As far as I know, my bungee cord never snapped me back up, instead, I just kept dropping further and further, faster and faster, until I finally woke up, seconds before hitting the ground.

(I had set The Matrix to loop, while I slept, and this dream felt distinctly like Neo's being stuck on the ledge during his office escape, and his fall between the two buildings, while trying out the jump program. I don't know that they were directly related, but it all felt way too similar not to be.)
