    1. Taking the dive

      by , 02-06-2017 at 05:41 PM
Had a short lucid dream this morning. It was via SSILD. I was jumping around this room housing three engines. They were more like 3 super fans or whatever. Crazy, I know. Dreams are going to do dream things. Woke up and tried to get back into the dream world. Reached sleep paralysis but I screwed myself by expecting some weird monster to attack me. A result of me reading Sleep Paralysis horror stories on this site. Since the dream world heavily relies on expectations, I felt something hug me. I turned my head to see this red creature thing hugging me. It resembled Him from Powerpuff Girls. That girly demon dude. Snapped me right awake again.

Important take away here is that once the WBTB ritual is completed and/or a quiet mindful state is achieved, it is imperative to FOCUS ON FALLING ASLEEP. That is how I got my lucid dream morning. I must absolutely keep this mind because I have a bad habit of wanting to lucid dream so bad in short time I have for a morning nap, that I try too hard to stay aware and thus stay awake. WRONG.

Do SSILD. Get into a quiet mindful state via meditation. RELAX AND FOCUS ON FALLING ASLEEP. Trust in the technique to do its job.

    2. 18-minutes

      by , 02-04-2017 at 05:59 PM
Had a lucid dream this morning. Yes, all it takes is 18 minutes of doing SSILD for me to successfully lucid dream. 6 cycles of SSILD. 3 senses per cycle. 1 minute per sense equals a lucid dream. However, I do run into the problem of losing lucidity in the dream or waking up and falling back to sleep without lucidity. I remember walking around in my neighborhood looking for something to do and that's about it.

Anyway to lucid dream the way I do:

      1. Wake up after 4-6 hours of sleep. Find a place to sit in a half-lotus position or any comfortable position as if you were trying to meditate.
      2. Go to https://fitlb.com/tabata-timer and set up your timer. For me, it is 18 rounds of 1:00 minute intervals. 1:00 minute per sense. Sight->Hearing->Touch repeat. If you are paying attention, you should end on the exercise focusing on touch. If not, then you missed a transition somewhere and that is okay. Just complete that cycle you are on without the timer.
      3. Lie down and go to sleep. During the time between lying down and actually falling asleep, the best thing you can do is preoccupy your mind with extra SSILD cycles. Don't pay attention to the time spent on each sense. Focus for a good 30 seconds or 10 breaths then move on. THE OBJECTIVE HERE IS TO FALL ASLEEP. Do not try to anchor, mantra, or try to catch the transition. If you do catch the transition into the dream world, cool; if not, then don't get fixated on it. We are looking for a DILD not a WILD. The expectation to lucid dream is enough.

Following these steps, a lucid dream will happen.

    3. Caught a false awakening

      by , 02-03-2017 at 05:04 PM
Did SSILD - got a lucid dream. It was longer than most before. Yeah, SSILD is beast. Caught a false awakening and continued my lucid dreaming experience. Attempted to summon a dream character. Didn't go so well. Somewhere along the line I lost lucidity and had a dream about a co-worker and being at my old stomping grounds.

    4. Looong Lucid Dream

      by , 02-02-2017 at 05:06 PM
I think this Lucid Dream could have been 15-30 minutes long. That's what it felt like since I never had a strong sense of time in dreams and clocks usually suck in them. Spent most of the time running away from this gigantic monster that I summoned and wanted to kill me. In the process of running away, I learned to how control the dream. It seems the same faculty used to visualize in the waking like is attached to the dream world so to grant myself superpowers, I need to actively imagine and expect the thing to happen. I used this many times to fly away and transform into a dog and into a monkey. I even met Chuck Norris along the way hiding under a bed of flowers. The dream ended with me getting on a spaceship as a really intelligent monkey to escape. I figured they can't reach me in outer space can they?

This really is a testament to how SSILD is king. The thing is, I did the SSILD cycles in a half-lotus position for 40 minutes during WBTB before lying down and continuing to sleep.

    5. Back to the basics 2

      by , 02-01-2017 at 05:01 PM
Stay in a half-lotus position and did 6 cycles of SSILD which totalled 30 minutes. Went to sleep and had a lucid dream. Couldn't find anything to do other than roam my neighborhood so I lost lucidity like always and had a vivid dream about chris brown, his car and other american celebrities.

Coming back to SSILD. Felt the transition but stayed it in it for too long and lost lucidity.

    7. Two Lucid This Morning

      by , 01-28-2017 at 06:46 PM
Meditated: had a lucid where I just say outside and took everything in. I stared at the moon and watched it warp. Collapsed to the ground and had a false awakening. Continued the lucid dream to my backyard and looked into a pit of rocks and sticks. Then game over. Woke up and tried to meditate back into dream but instead had vivid non-lucid dreams of getting chased by huge monsters, post-apocalyptic water shortages, meeting a talking Zapdos , seeing old school chums.

      Gotta work on that re-entry.

    8. A longer lucid dream

      by , 01-25-2017 at 05:45 PM
Did a mindfulness meditation this morning then went to bed. I felt the transition. I sort of got stuck where I felt the sleep paralysis but saw nothing so I out of fear of losing lucidity, I affirmed that "I am dreaming." This was after a sort of dry spell. Not really a dry spell because I didn't commit myself to meditating and becoming as deeply present as I possibly can. During the dream I attempted to become present again which made the dream seem more solid. Met people. The end.

    9. Double Kill

      by , 01-21-2017 at 06:26 PM
Managed to get lucid twice this morning. They lasted each about 30 seconds a peace. In one lucid dream, I tried to go outside and split the clouds to get some sunshine going. Unfortunately, dream didn't like it and attempted to attack me with a tornado. Crisis averted. I don't remember how the second attempt went. I got the lucid dreams after doing a DEEP 45 minute meditation during a WBTB period. All I did afterwards was go to sleep and literally just sank into the dream. I felt the dream forming. I said "I am dreaming" to make the images stronger and I was fully immersed.

I don't know much about how dreams work but I now see the strong connection between the "Mind's Eye" and dreaming. This is huge for me considering I used to expect the dream to form behind my eye lids and thus focus for hours which no results. Could the next stage of mastery be me mastering the "Mind's Eye"? I am not big on woo spiritually like chakras but I might do some research between The Third Eye, The Mind's Eye and lucid dreaming.

And of course, find a way to STAY LUCID LONGER.

      by , 01-19-2017 at 05:10 PM
Dreamed I somehow became president of united states. Selected Bernie Sanders as my VP. Then opted to step down. Met my security detail. He was a young arab man who knew some martial arts. I also had a very incompetent and goofy secretary with green hair. Before then I had a lucid dream which I tried to stabilize yet ended in mere 10 seconds.

Had a WILD this morning. Successfully created, summoned and interacted with dream character. Onward to more adventures! The dream character was morphing though. I guess my brain was like, "Who is this person?!"

I am having lucid dreams so frequently now, I really don't know what to title these entries. Did mindfulness meditation(Here & Now) then went to sleep with mindful awareness. Had a DILD but lost lucidity somewhere in the beginning. Need to do a better job anchoring lucidity.

      by , 01-05-2017 at 04:55 PM
My longest lucid dream yet! It was so long and stable that I tried meditating and it was weird to say the least. It made the dream a bit more vivid for some reason. So much happened but one of the highlights of the dream was me using telekinesis to fight and blow up two alien spaceship things. Gosh the dream was so stable I was repeatedly testing my ability to summon a dream character. Couldn't find her. Maybe next time.

Meditated during WBTB for 42 minutes and had a lucid dream that was pretty much stable. Yet, I only remember 2 minutes of it. I need to work on my recall and dream control. The is usually more stable when I let things go their way and not try to control them.

Had two lucid dreams this morning. I recognized I was dreaming in one where I was driving. Another I was in my neighborhood trying to summon a dream character. No dice. Gosh, I need somehow to master dream control.
