A friend of mine at work recently said he had a dream and wrote it down while he was still dreaming. Not in the physical but wrote it down in the dream world. He says he woke up with complete recall of the dream and didnt have to write it down into his dream diary.

Has anyone else tried or experienced this? I am gona give it a shot if I can remember that is :D

ive done it.

I knew i was dreaming, It took me forever to find a fucking pen (most of that LD was spent looking for one, or trying to morph one out of twigs), and my writing was sooo bad, i could barely read it.

But when i woke up for real, it was really easy to write it down, a lot easier than usual.

that happened to me once, i made a thread about it. it pissed me off. after writing out a whole dream in my journal (in a dream), i woke up, and didnt wanna write it again so i was like "fuck that" and just didnt write it. what a waste of effort

I have yet to be able to write anything. But I wonder if to tell yourself in your dream, to remember this dream when your awake, if it would work just as is does when you tell yourself while your awake, that you are going to recognize when your dreaming?
I've noticed some pretty cool new avatars = Serinanth & Sesquipeblablabla-Does that name mean somthing?

Heh, you should do a reality check when you wake up, that way you'll prevent false awekenings and can carry on LD'ing.... I'm doing reality checks every morning when I think of it.. (so, hardly ever lol :-P)

this happened to me the other night (but not in a LD) - I woke up took my temp and wrote out my dream. When I ACTUALLY woke up I was surprised to see it hadn't been written in, cos I thought it was real (hence not lucid).

that was the second false awakening that night though.

hehe...well I do remember when I had my first lucid dream, I was so excited and anxious to write it down I got out my journal (in the dream) and started to write...then I was like hey what the heck am I doing?

This happened to me 2 nights ago, it was the most vivid false awakening i've ever had and the reason i came on this morning was to write about how i had a false awakening where i wrote my dream in my dream journal. but clearly that topic has already been made

Anyways, yeah it was neat but a bit of a piss off like time said, but i wrote it down anyways cause i thought it was neat.

This happened to me just last night, I kept saying to myself 'I will wake up right after my dream and I will remember it', I went to sleep and had then drempt about waking up and writing in my journal after the usual dream - I honestly believed I had written it down, and was dumbfounded when I looked at my journal the next day and there were no new entries. :?

I suppose it was a little annoying, but I just saw it as a sign that I'm starting to influence my dreams a little more, so in that respect it was encouraging.

:D Welcome to the forum!!! :D

Never had that happen, sorry :(
All that hard work....

But hey, like you said, you are beginning to think about it.

How about popping over the the Newbie section and telling us a little about yourself?

wow, I guess this is pretty common amongst dreamers.
I had a dream not long ago where I was writing in my dream journal while sleeping (trying to capture all the details of the dream I as in). Dream recall has never been a problem for me. In fact, half the dreams I have I just don't write down anymore.

I had a false awakening, and tried to write my dream down. I only wrote few words, and realized something is wrong. Then I jumped from my bed in RL.

I had a dream I was drinking a bottled water, and something made me realize it was a dream, so i tried to stay asleep and write it down too, but i didn't realize that I was writing it down in my dream as well. Since I use my computer, the letters weren't working properly at all, especially because i was trying to stay asleep while i wrote down the dream -_-
