Absolutely ANYBODY can lucid dream. There's no question as to whethere you're made for it or not. Just keep working on it! Giving up is the worst thing you could do to yourself. Most people won't have success their first month or two, but if you keep practicing, you will eventually succeed. Hit the tutorial page on the site and you can get tons of tips to try out. Go through the tips until you find one that works for you. Make sure to especially focus on Reality Checks, since these are the simplest way for anybody to have an LD, and are necessary to use several other techniques.

Hope it helped,

thanks for the words of wisdom. ive been doing this for around 6 months. what do you mean to focus on reality checks?

Check at least two or three times a day to see if you are dreaming or not. Some people check as often as every half hour, but personally I think that every two hours or so is fine. Anyway, this builds up a habit so that you will instinctively check during a dream to see if you are dreaming, hence realizing that it is a dream and going lucid. There's a more detailed tutorial here (http://dreamviews.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4935)

Anyway, this is not only the easiest way to achieve a lucid, it's also a method that is necessary for many other techniques.

You could set a mantra: "When I see *a RC* I'm dreaming", that ou can chant while going to sleep, just to remind your brain

you could try and do reality checks whenever you even think about them, as many times as possible during the day (this got me a *short* LD within a day, and another the day after) you also have to THINK about what your doing, dont go through waking life as a zombie, make sure your surroundings check out as being correct. I also mixed this in with a few visualization techniques, they involved imagining a random situation and visualizing myself becoming aware that i was dreaming after doing a reality check, then imagining what i would do IF it was a dream.

hope this helps

Don't think "hopefully", think "I definitely will". Confidence is very important! :D

"Do or Do not there is no Try"-Yoda

Also i did RC's every 10 minutes for one day and i chant "Am I Dreaming" as many times as i can remember to, While doing RC's. For One Day every 10-20 min (watch beeps every 10 minutes but i only hear it 3/4 of the time) and the next day i forgot to bring my watch to school but i did RC's while chanting the phrase 3-4 times that day and that day i had a LD becouse
----DREAM----
i went to an in&out and there was a rave in there and i orders some food and i went outside and came back and it was a in&out but there were no ppl ( 2 weird things :P. in&out is always crouded. And i went to the counter and just THOUGHT to myself is my order ready and the guy sayd i never even seen u before and it hit me "Am I Dreaming?"

---LD---
lasted like 5 seconds and was dissapointing...But it was an LD

--back to post--

cause yoda is the man. the only one better then him is Obi-wan. but then again come on....his Obi-Wan Kanobie....you just can't mess with him so its hard to even compare lol.

perhaps try something radically different?

what finally broke my 4 month long dry spell, was a WBTB attempt at 6:45am staying up for about 20 minutes. i had an amazing marathon 2 hour lucid session. i wasn't even trying to get lucid either, i just happened to have to get up at that time, and when i went back to bed i was in just the right frame of mind.

so, get creative with your methods, and keep trying! if i can do this, then so can you.
