I notice that when im in the city were i have a computer both living and on vacation that i have poor dream recall but when im in a the small town where i do not have a computer my dream recall is better. So then maybe its because of my use of the computer that affects my dream recall because it clouds my thoughts? or something the night before i took the plane to the city i dreamed about the computer so i guess it is affecting it but i want to see what other people think.

hmm, i've never noticed that and i use the computer a lot...location doesn't seem to affect it either, as when i went to america i thought it would immediately be stuffed up, but it wasn't...some of them were very vivid actually.
Only thing i have noticed affects my recall is to do with sleep. If i go to bed before i'm quite tired, as in, try and have an early night, i might lie there tossing and turning for a bit before dropping off. Then i don't seem to dream as well.
Or if i go to bed overtired, where i've stayed up too late, that affects it. Last night was a classic example.
I also find that if i've had two or three very vivid dreams in one night, the following night, the images seem to be hazier, and recall is slightly more difficult. I put that down to my brain taking a rest.
